Wow! Just weighed in and I've actually lost 1lb this week!

Can't believe it. I feel like I've eaten out for every meal all week! I have done a lot of walking too (around 17-20k per day) so I crept in under my mfp calories every day.

That's 11 3 down from 11 11 when I joined this thread.

Thanks to everyone on the thread. You're all so lovely!

leesmum · 28/10/2017 22:07

Well done therealjudgejudy and TheDonald some really good loses ladies Flowers
I think I might find my Mojo in November...well that's the plan anyway, I've stayed the same pretty much through October but really need a good kick up the arse and get those Linda's shifted before Christmas Xmas Smile

NikiBabe · 28/10/2017 23:29

I really do need a herculean effort before Christmas too. The gym will be closed, I will eat more, etc.

need to lose alot before christmas so if I gain, it wont be too bad.

HappyGowerGirl · 29/10/2017 07:57

Nice work Donald and Judge Judy!

I'm 9.6 still. Doing pretty well in terms of restricting calories but I've been drinking too much and also I have done no exercise all week! Feeling really lethargic and slightly hungover this morning... :-( I need to change my ways:-(

NikiBabe · 29/10/2017 13:40

I am down another 0.9kg. Scales are now very decisively below 10st and back to my lowest ever.

Therealjudgejudy · 29/10/2017 13:49

Thanks guys.

Go Niki! That's awesome.

Today is a no gym day so I'm planning to go for a 30 min walk into town to browse the shops to look for some inspiration on an outfit for my graduation.

Dinner is going to be chicken faijta wraps. Can't wait as we all love them!

Hope everyone's weekends are good Smile

poorpaws · 29/10/2017 22:21

I’m starting again tomorrow. How many times have I said that? I really am, I feel disgusting.

Have a good week everyone.

HairsprayBabe · 30/10/2017 08:25

10.6 drank everything in the world on saturday and only ate beige food yesterday, pretty pleased with a 4lb gain and a fast day should get rid of most of it pretty sharpish. and I am still on a loss for the month over all so far (even though it is only a single linda)

I am so tired today, I must remember next time I have a party to book off the Monday so I can recover properly!

HappyGowerGirl · 30/10/2017 10:35

poorpaws don't be so hard on yourself, it's counterproductive! (If you think you're disgusting, you may as well sabotage your own efforts and make the wrong choices all over again, leaving you feeling disgusted, sabotaging your own choices again, etc etc). Try to have some positive thoughts about yourself today🙂 I really hope that doesn't sound condescending! I'm sure we've all felt like we've "started again tomorrow". I think that's pretty normal as living healthily is not like flicking a switch & suddenly you are healthy forever, it is a process with ups and downs just like anything else in life. Good luck and be kind to yourself!

BitOutOfPractice · 30/10/2017 10:58

Hello all.

I am really struggling to get my head in the game. I'm still the same old weight I was at the start of September give r take a pound or two. I'm so fed up. And I had some discombobulating news last night so to add to my gloom I have a wine-induced headache too.

I so need to get my weight loss moving. I've got so close to goal - just half a stone to 10lbs to go (50lbs lost) so why can't I just get a bloody grip? Paws I feel the same as you.

Girls (and TV) could you give me a squeeze and / or kick up the arse please?

Don't give up Boop I have been floating around a 67-71lb loss since the summer and I refuse to let it beat me and I will get my final 10 pounds off!

Hope your personal news wasn't too bad Flowers

DP has just rang me to let me know the shower is leaking into the kitchen... FFS

BitOutOfPractice · 30/10/2017 12:08

Not bad. But it's thrown me I must admit.

I'm going to stomp round the block in the sunshine and stomp through the autumn leaves. See if that helps

Echoing what Hairspraybabe said boop.

Ive been hovering at a sts and gain since August. I will not be beaten.

You'll be fine.

Hope you're ok Flowers

TVHubbyClaire · 30/10/2017 13:57

BOOP I'm stuck again around the 12st 7 mark today. I don't deserve much better given the last few days but I'm with hairspray and niki in thinking it will happen and hopefully soon

12st 4 is my target for next monthHmm

well done Donald and judy Smile

treaclesoda · 30/10/2017 14:25

I weighed myself today and I've lost one measly pound.

Still, at least I've lost something...

NikiBabe · 30/10/2017 15:21

A linda isnt measly. Pick up a 500g bag of flour. That's not to be sniffed at

Great losses Niki, Donald and judy, and you too treacle - every Linda's a win!

BOOP hope you're OK - we've always known the last half stone is an absolute bitch, and I think having a breather and plateauing at your stage in weight loss is to be expected a bit, and it's actually great that you're maintaining even if you're not losing: goes to show you've got the maintenance nailed, you just need a second wind to kick those last few Lindas. It's so common to gain when you take your eye off the ball a bit, but you haven't done that.

paws please don't be so hard on yourself - this is really hard and boring and you'll find that wagon Flowers

I had a scale mishap on Friday but I weighed in at the doctor's surgery: the old-fashioned scale in the corridor said I was under target (!) but the digital one in the actual office said I'd lost 100 measly grams putting me still 400g over, but it was about 4pm by then, so even though I hadn't eaten a scrap I wasn't sure whether or not to trust it. Haven't had any good step days for a couple of weeks, I seem to have really lost my mojo with stepping and have had 2 weeks in a row of not even averaging 10K a day (i.e. 70K over the week, with active days offsetting sedentary ones) which hasn't happened in motths before then, so I'm very ashamed!

Have got over 23K in today though between house work and a bit of dashing around this morning, trying to get back on it! Shall we all have a final push in November?

Saying that, I think I really am getting a cold this time Sad

QuimReaper · 30/10/2017 21:20

So sorry to hear you've had bad news too koko Flowers

You won't be heavier this time next year, we won't let you!

poorpaws · 30/10/2017 22:25

Thank you for all your replies, I feel a bit brighter today. The reason I was so down is that I slim down from January to September and then starting October through to late December gain most of the weight back. It’s a pattern I keep repeating year after year. I absolutely refuse to do it this year! BOOP we can do this, we really can.

Eight weeks today to the dreaded C word and I want to lose at least 6 Lindas by then.

Quim totally agree to a final push in November. I’ve got a birthday to get through in this month so a week of eating out and a lot of cake. Better start reducing food intake now so I’m ready.

Hairspray I hope you get the shower sorted soon.

KOKO nice to have you back. Stick with us, you’ll be lighter next year I’m sure.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes and well done to niki Judy and treacle.

Sorry to those who have had bad news. It really does take all motivation away doesn't it? I have friends who immediately lose their appetite when things go wrong but I'm definitely a comfort eater. I have to be in a really good place mentally to stand any chance of losing weight.

It sounds like some of you have lost some really impressive amounts of weight. Well done! Just wondering - how did you decide on your goal weight? Is it based on BMI?

I set out to get into a healthy BMI but now I'm only 2lb outside it I'd like to lose another 7lb. I know it will get harder though as I have less to lose.

How do you know if you should keep trying to lose or if you should be happy with where you are and work on maintaining?

HairsprayBabe · 31/10/2017 08:09

10.6 and I had a perfect fast day yesterday..... I must have been dehydrated still....eurgh
