Oooh baileys ! During the few days over Christmas I have it in my coffee for breakfast ha !

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 12/10/2017 10:15

TV so sorry to hear about it your MIL, take care of yourself Flowers

Plum sounds like a good plan! Well done on the successful sober October-ing so far!

Sorry to hear you are struggling at the moment Rich, it sounds like an evening on the sofa might have been exactly what you needed. Hope you feel better today.

Welcome spook!

I'm just plugging along here, aiming for about 1000 calories today. I have got myself a treat for the weekend, the Aldi stollen bites. I've hidden the packet in the back of the cupboard and I'm not breaking them out until after dinner on Friday!

NikiBabe · 12/10/2017 11:32

Im thinking of going away fot Christmas itself. You guys seem well travelled. Any ideas for a city break?

Therealjudgejudy · 12/10/2017 15:05

Just heading to the gym now for an hours afternoon workout. Couldn't go this morning as too much work on.

Beef burgers and a large green salad for dinner this evening and I bought myself an apple an custard Danish for later...just because. It's one of those days. All I've wanted to do is eat crisps all day so far tbh.

NikiBabe · 12/10/2017 15:14

@Therealjudgejudy What sort of work outs do you do at the gym. Do you do classes or your own workouts on the gym floor?

Therealjudgejudy · 12/10/2017 17:05

Hi Niki. I do a work out that one of the gym instructors devised for me. Start with stretching then 4 weight machines for my legs and 2 for my arms. Then I I do Russian twists with a 3kg ball and front and side planks on the mat. Then squats and chin lifts with a kettle bell and then side and front reps with 2kg weights. Then I run 2km on the treadmill and cycle 5 km on the bike.

Saturdays I swim. It's very repetitive but I like knowing my routine every day. My gym does 4 boot camp classes in the week day evenings. I try to get to 1 a week. They have just started spin classes but I haven't attempted one of those yet! Smile.

spookshowbaby · 12/10/2017 18:43

@Therealjudgejudy I love spin by rarely get to classes !

I as 3 slices of pizza at soft play this morning oops. Hoping a 40 min walk and the park may help to counteract !

HairsprayBabe · 13/10/2017 08:18

I would go somewhere you are guaranteed snow if i was going away for christmas i think Niki

10.3 by a whisker, ate dinner way too late last night as a result of my grandfather going into hospital suddenly with heart stuff...
He has v.low blood pressure normally anyway and his heart was beating too fast, GP took one look at him and sent him to A&E. He is home now and seeing a heart specialist today.

DBro just found out that if they can't get his seizures under control by April he will lose his apprenticeship on account of health and safety as he works in a factory with heavy machinery. He is gutted as was really good at his job and enjoying it.

It is all kicking off here!

plumstone · 13/10/2017 09:41

Morning All, Niki - For me getting away at Christmas would be either really cold and snow, or really warm and hot beach, none of this in between!!

After a 16:8 fast had a cheeky weigh in today and was bang on 11.00 very chuffed and have another one planned for Sunday , then Tuesday and Thursday next week. See if it kick starts something by rearranging. Off out tonight where its cocktails and canapés - the cocktail thing is fine its the canapé thats could cause the issue. Put anything in filo pasty and serve with a small napkin and I think Christmas has arrived!!!!!! Oh well, hope the lack of booze will strengthen my resolve!!!!!

NikiBabe · 13/10/2017 11:07

I was thinking of somewhere like Marrakech. Warm and no christmas at all. But I've been before.

Or I guess somewhere like Paris, close and Chrsitmassy.

NikiBabe · 13/10/2017 11:08

PS sorry to hear about your family @Hairspraybabe. Hope everyone is hanging in there. Flowers

ponygirlcurtis · 14/10/2017 10:06

Oh Hairspray, that's a pretty stressful time for you all. Hope your grandfather is doing better now. Your poor brother, and it's so out of his control too. Crossing my fingers for you all.

Well done plum - hope you managed to resist too many pastry-based goodies.

I have no recommendations Niki, I am supremely untravelled! Grin

ponygirlcurtis · 14/10/2017 10:10

And I can report not one but two NSVs today. No1: moved my Fitbit strap up to the fourth notch from the third. When I bought it a few years ago I could only get it into the second notch and considered buying the size up. No 2: my feet are shrinking, a pair of size 4 shoes were too big for me last night. When I have been at my heaviest I have had to wear size 5, buy at my slimmest I can get into some 3.5s. Weird!

TheDonald · 14/10/2017 11:08

Hi all

Haven't been back to this thread for a while but I am reading occasionally. Sorry to hear about everyone's stressful time. Life often gets in the way of health doesn't it? And congrats to Pony. That sounds like some great progress!

I weighed in again today. I weigh myself most days but I only log and record it on Saturdays. It keeps me on the straight and narrow on Friday nights!

I lost another 2 lb this week so that's 5 in total. I'm on a mission to get under 11 st 2lb because that would put me into a healthy BMI. I'm 11 6 this morning so 4 to go.

On the down-side our new cat has gone missing. She went out Thursday and we haven't seen her since. She's only been with us 6 weeks so I think she's probably lost. I was out walking the streets for 2 hours yesterday so at least it's keeping me away from comfort eating!

KikisDeliveryService · 14/10/2017 13:31

Every time I’ve come back and post on these threads I’ve immediately got ill and been unable to keep up or be on my usual regime. So I’m feeling very squidgy, behind on my training, my good eating, in fact everything really.

But, finally starting to feel human again so hoping to get back into it and stop the tide that is increasing weight and decreasing fitness.

Having said that, I’ve eaten an inappropriate breakfast and am meeting people for cake this afternoon. Oops. I am avoiding additional lunch meal and have tentatively done training for second day at least. Baby steps and all that Grin.

KikisDeliveryService · 14/10/2017 13:35

Sorry about your cat Donald. We had a young cat that came back after a couple of weeks missing so don’t lose hope. I did the poster thing and lots of people got in touch though it was always about a similar looking cat up the road. She found her own way home in the end.

ponygirlcurtis · 15/10/2017 10:17

Well done on your loss Donald but that's a worry about your kitty. Hope she reappears soon.

Sorry to hear you haven't been well Kiki - it's a struggle if you are feeling poorly, isn't it. Keep going with your baby steps. Smile

KikisDeliveryService · 15/10/2017 14:39

Thanks ponygirl, I’ve managed a bit of taekwondo practice and a reasonable cycle yesterday and a run today so feeling a bit more back in the game. The run was hard going though and I’m wiped out now. Still ploughing through tissues so although I feel lot better than last week I’m not 100% yet.

Feeling very fat though. It’s been sliding upwards since my summer injury. 5:2 has been my successful go to in the past but can’t get myself back into it. Trying to get my head happy with feeling hungry again.

KikisDeliveryService · 15/10/2017 14:41

Ah just seen your NSVs ponygirl! Yay! Well done, that’s inspiring :)

10.9 not sure how that happened eurgh

HappyGowerGirl · 16/10/2017 09:17

Oh god I'm really struggling this month! We are halfway through now and I've actually gained a pound rather than lost anything (9.9 atm)🤔

Need to ditch the cheese and start running again.

Desperately need some motivation!

plumstone · 16/10/2017 09:43

Well the weekend is over and had its up and downs, Saturday was a family meal out - which involved carbs, and a sandwich that was to die for!! No booze though and dinner that night was a saint like chicken and avocado salad. Managed 3 litres of water as I had 500mls for every alcoholic drink everyone else consumed!!!!!

Yesterday was 16:8 so that was good. Will do that again tomorrow to see what Wednesday Weigh in brings!!!!

Buggering thing all weekend was that I lost my keys so that seemed to pre-occupy the whole weekend!!!! They are not at home, and since coming onto work are not on my desk - boss seems to think I must have gathered them into the paperwork that was on desk on Friday and I would have thrown the keys into the recycling with the paper!!! I am such an idiot, total pain to get a new set!!!

Therealjudgejudy · 16/10/2017 10:35

Hi all. My weekend went to plan. Weighed in at gym after swimming Saturday and am now 9 stone 5 kg so am getting there. Sunday was my rest day and I treated myself to a Costa iced caramel latte for breakfast!

Unfortunately I had to change plans today and not go to the gym as I'm in Ireland and we are on a red weather alert. My son's secondary is closed as are all schools in the country. Good job I work from home. I'll keep to 1000 calories today and I'll do a Davina workout dvd this evening instead. Hop everyone has a good day and stay safe in Ireland all Smile
