koko good to see you. I'm sorry you're havinga tough time Thanks. Stick with us and we'll keep you on track in November

paws yes, we bloody well can do it! Come on! I had an OK day yesterday. All I need to do is keep that going...

What's your dieting plans for the day Slenderistas?

KikisDeliveryService · 31/10/2017 08:32

Mini holiday has not done much for me on the slenderista front. Damn clock change has left me sleepy and I want to be peppy so I can motivate myself to exercise on my day off.

Hopefully yoga class will perk me up. Failing that I will drink plenty of Brew

Food wise I need to back well away from the carbs. That might have to be my November plan.

KikisDeliveryService · 31/10/2017 08:41

Flowers to KOKO, eating well and looking after yourself just ends up being last on the list when times get tough doesn’t it?

TheDonald I thought I had maintaining licked (lost 50lb) but turns out not (gained several back and still drifting upwards). I changed my whole lifestyle and haven’t slipped back into old habits as such, but I find my portion sizes gradually creep up and I snack, forget to compensate and eat less later. 5:2 was great for maintaining but I lost the habit and can’t get back into it. I’m looking for a new maintaining method, though that’s a way off as I have a good 10-15lbs I would like to shift again!

ponygirlcarcass · 31/10/2017 08:42

Sorry things have been difficult keepon. Flowers

I had a manic week cleaning to prepare for visitors this weekend, then the visit which was fab but much booze was consumed. Eating was actually OK though, I stayed low carb and let them eat ice cream and pizza. So although I was up a bit yesterday morning it's back down today. So I should be on for a small loss this month, first one for ages. I will take a small loss over nowt given I don't have much to go till my initial target.

ponygirlcarcass · 31/10/2017 08:43

And well done to everyone losing, it really helps having this thread as a support doesn't it. 😊

Therealjudgejudy · 31/10/2017 09:25

Well done on the losses Donald and treacle. Flowers for all those feeling down.

Was a bank holiday here yesterday and the gym was eerily quiet when I went at lunchtime. Was back at the gym for 7am this morning and the place was buzzing!

Donald I'm setting my target weight at what I've been for the last 14 yrs until I put on all the weight early this year due to the meds I was put on. Once I'm back to that I'll be happy and will maintain there (hopefully).

Boop, my plan for today is a large salad with low fat dressing for lunch , drank a pint of lemon water for Breakfast and have no clue yet about dinner. I'll probably want beef burgers which is what I want every evening.

Feel free to tell what you are all having.. need inspiration

plumstone · 31/10/2017 09:39

10.13 on the scales this morning - that is a grand total of 3lbs off this month - sightly disheartened - but its less than a stone to loose before Christmas - aim is for 10 dead on the day!! God its hard - having a bash at dairy free for a week - and am in the middle of cooking 6 veggie bowls which will be lunch for the next six days!!

Donald - I set my weight by wanting to know what I would look like at 10 stone -- so vanity as opposed to science!!! keep going everyone - we can do this!!!!

QuimReaper · 31/10/2017 11:38

Donald as you can see I think everyone has different goal weights for different reasons.

In my case, I'd never ever thought about my weight until about 5yrs ago, when it suddenly started creeping up. I was unhappy with it but it took me a while to really decide to do anything about it (mainly as I thought it'd just melt off with a couple of 30-minute walks and a couple of light meals a week - alas!) but by then, since I'd never paid attention to my weight before I gained it, I didn't know what to shoot for. Next time I went to the doctor's I asked if they had any record of what I used to weigh, and they told me how much I'd weighed when I'd registered with them, so I decided to just try and get back to that.

I've now achieved that, although unfortunately don't look the same this time around: much jigglier, so I must have lost what small amount of lean muscle I had, and replaced it with a higher body fat %. That's Stage Two I guess!

QuimReaper · 31/10/2017 11:39

I feel sooooo rotten today Sad

KikisDeliveryService · 31/10/2017 11:50

Why do you feel rotten quim? Poorly? I struggle whenever the clock changes for some reason, takes me ages to get back on track no matter how much sleep I get.

Yoga was great but I am no more energised and instantly forgot my low carbing rule I'd implemented a couple of hours ago. I am my own worst enemy.

HairsprayBabe · 31/10/2017 12:27

I have an interview tomorrow and nothing to wear and it is hard and scary and I have to go to London and stress and panic and hellllppppp!

NikiBabe · 31/10/2017 13:22

You'll be fine hairspray.

Coming to my neck of the woods.

ponygirlcarcass · 31/10/2017 16:28

Deep breaths Hairspray, and even if you are scared think about all you have achieved with your weight loss - you did that, you can do this. Good luck for tomorrow.

BitOutOfPractice · 31/10/2017 17:31

Hairspray good luck! I’m positive you’ll ace it!

Quim are you poorly? Flowers

Are you all happy for me to start a new thread for November?

OP posts:
TheDonald · 31/10/2017 17:47

Good luck hairspray.

Thanks for all your answers everyone. I am going to aim for 10 10 by Christmas. That's another 7lb from now so should be achievable in 2 months. It's a bad 2 months for healthy eating though. I've just ordered dad's birthday cake for next week!

I haven't had added sugar all this month and the difference it has made to my appetite is amazing! Today I had a slice of salted caramel sponge to celebrate the end of the month. Only a small slice, but I got home from work and was starving. It's really made me realise how I have managed to lose 7lb this month when I've been failing all year.

So it's goodbye Stoptober hello No-sugar-vember!

HairsprayBabe · 31/10/2017 17:59

Just had a large slice of bread with dinner... Why did I do that! I will be so annoyed if this is reflected tomorrow 😧

ponygirlcarcass · 31/10/2017 20:20

That sounds very doable Donald.

Go for it BOOP - forgot we would need a new one. What about 'Remember, remember that sylph in November'? Or No-giving-up in November?

poorpaws · 31/10/2017 22:13

BOOP would be VERY HAPPY for you to start a November thread feeling more positive now.

Hairspray sending you loads of luck and confidence.

Quim hope you are feeling better by now Flowers

BitOutOfPractice · 31/10/2017 22:24
