Hi everyone, here we are with out 4th thread.
I really can't believe just how well everyone is doing.

Joash 12lb loss in 6 days. That's fantastic. I'm like you, i also have a cheese weakness!!!

hercules1 8lb loss in 6 days. Brilliant.
You don't have to wait until you reach goal before you eat food again.
There are lots of food plans to choose from.
Have you tried FIBRE 89? helps you if you do get constipated.

catsmother I cannot believe that you've lost another 5.5lbs this week.
You are an inspiration to all of us.

gtimama 1st 1lb in 2 weeks is a great loss.

michaelad How are you getting on with day 4?
You can have the berry powder in the first week.
Theres also an orange powder as well. I didn't like this as much!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy How fantastic must you feel losing 22lb in a week?
That has to be the most i've ever heard of.
Well done you.

Sorry that i've not mentioned everyone, but i'd be here all day if i did that.

I've been doing this diet for 13 weeks now and have lost 38lbs and 1/4 oz.
My next weigh in is on wed as my CDC has been away on hol.

Have tried to be good, but also caved in a few times with the kids easter eggs!!!!

thanks forn the support everyone, drew a line under yesterday as suggested. had my just bearable fruits of the forrest this morning and didnt get the urge to finish my dds yoghurt. does being on a period have any affect.

luciemule · 06/06/2007 11:26

Hi Hifi - yes - your period will most likely make a difference - especially with measurements. Also fluid retention will be more so make sure you keep glugging that H2O!

My waist always went up by about 4cms each month but quickly went down again afterwards.

MunkiBaby · 06/06/2007 11:46

Anyone have any advice on doing CD while breastfeeding? Now for obvious reasons, if i was exclusively bf'ing, i wouldnt even consider CD. however, ds is 8 months and only get the boob(s) maybe twice a day just for drink and comfort, and is on 3 meals solids plus snack each day. Doesnt seem like starting CD will be a huge problem...

not sure. i'm desperate to start and i'll be torn if i have to either hold off starting Cd and just as equally heartbroken if i have to stop bf'ing completely.

MunkiBaby · 06/06/2007 12:23

*just phoned the nearest counsellor to get the ball rolling.

she seemed...nice i suppose. either herself or another woman will be contacting me before the 15th. (hopefully my start date).

she gave me a bit of info that i haven't seen discussed here as of yet. She said she received a memo stating that as of July 1, prices will be going up. i guess it has something to do with the draught in australia, among other things. weird, huh? she says australia supplies china with skimmed milk to make the products. and theres a shortage so china has been getting it from UK, and the charge is much higher. soooo, prices going up. I'll probably buy a few weeks at the cheaper price while still low.

Has anyone heard about this from you CDC's? I wasnt given an exact rate of raise. anyone have one?

luciemule · 06/06/2007 13:12

Munkibaby - it does say in the literature, and my counsellor, backed it up that you cannot BF on the CD diet.

I guess it's more about your calorie intake than how it effects the baby - although the milk probably wouldn't be as nutritious either.

However, not sure if it's just a few feeds but I'd phone the CD helpline in Corby to make sure if your counsellor can't tell you for definite.

MunkiBaby · 06/06/2007 18:40

thanks for the confirmation, luce. i have further contacted a CDC on cambridgedieters.com...and she said the same. now im stuck. what to do?

i dont know if im ready, emotionally, or if DS is ready, for me to completely cut out bf.

but im FO SHO ready to start the diet...

grrrr...

luciemule · 06/06/2007 21:56

Munkibaby - you don't want to be ill or your DS to just be wrenched from BF by the sounds of it so why don't you gradually start weaning him off (if that's what YOU want)and then start with the CD?

Honestly, I know you're really feeling ready to start but a few more weeks won't matter if you don't cheat once you start - it'll fall off within a few weeks (as you've already read from all our posts).

I think you could find it really emotionally hard to stop BF abrubtly in order to start CD as it's all quite emotional starting the CD. Give yourself a few weeks maybe and see how weaning goes.

You'll know if you want to stop BF or not and then you make some plans about the CD.
You could always say to yourself "I'll stop BF by 1st August" or something so you know a definite date and then you're mind can adjust to that.
Sorry I sound like an agony aunt - I'll shut up now!

fussymummy · 07/06/2007 23:31

Had my weigh in today and have lost 6 and 1/4 lb this week.

Congratulations fussymummy! Thats a brilliant loss!!!

MunkiBaby · 08/06/2007 08:31

congrats fussy! The local counsellor to me told me the same, as of july 1 i think, prices will be going up. Perhaps you hsould consider buying a couple or few weeks worth while its lower cost?

MunkiBaby · 09/06/2007 08:20

It's been afwully quiet on this thread. are you all still on CD??

SpookyMadMummy · 09/06/2007 09:23

Well I am!
Week 4 for me, but not been well have a sore throat etc

MunkiBaby · 09/06/2007 09:49

hiya spooky, great to hear you are still going but sorry to hear you arent feeling very well this week. how has CD been going for you? also, if i may ask, whats your loss to date? ((sorry if thats being cheeky-))

despite not joining CD just yet (still breast feeding), i'm always checking this thread to keep up the motivation i have.
currently, im at about 16st 5...and all i can think about are the clothes i can wear that i've only imagined or cried about over the last 7 years. Also, now with 8 month old baby, i'm looking forward to being here for him and also doing little things like going on funfair rides and not being ashamed or embarrassed, etc.

ok ok i wont keep going. there will always be a million little things that going on CD will be worth. i just cant wait to start.

SpookyMadMummy · 09/06/2007 11:04

Hiya
