September is here and the Slenderistas (and TV) have their game face on.
Golden days will be in abundance as we aim to shift 7 Lindas in September
Link to the August thread here
BitOutOfPractice · 31/08/2017 22:30
Hello! Here we are!
I've weighed in officially at the gym. I'm declaring my weight at 11st 5lbs
I'm appalled at that.
I'm WILL get 7lbs off in September.
There. I've said it!
BitOutOfPractice · 31/08/2017 22:30
BTW, Mr BOOPwanted do do some witty French joke about losing SEPT pounds in SEPTember in the title
leesmum · 31/08/2017 22:34
September will be fantastic for all of us, yes we've all enjoyed some summer spoils ( huge well done to those who have lost weigh too) but time to crack on and get some lbs shifted
I shall check in tomorrow and I'm not stressing about it, I know I've put weight on but I also know I can get rid of it too 👍
poorpaws · 31/08/2017 22:44
Thank you BOOP love the title.
September will be our angel month. I believe we will all lose in September - let's do it! We're coming to get you Lindas.
leesmum · 31/08/2017 22:53
Mr Boop is onto something there, tres bien 🇫🇷
NikiBabe · 31/08/2017 23:01
Yay. I was down 3 or 4lbs in August so hopefully another loss.
leesmum · 31/08/2017 23:10
Nice work Niki you can show us how it's done in September
BitOutOfPractice · 31/08/2017 23:14
Niki I realise that not everyone was appalling in August. But you know, pressure's on for a new title
I feel incredibly motivated and, you know, just ready to get back into a routine and get my mojo going again
NikiBabe · 31/08/2017 23:17
Ive still eaten a shit load of sweets and crap. September may be my undoing! LOL
NikiBabe · 31/08/2017 23:23
The title thread didnt bother me by the way, its awesome
MountainDweller · 31/08/2017 23:39
Have been absent for a few months but am rejoining in the hopes that you slenderistas can keep me on the straight and narrow.
Commiserations to those also struggling to stay on track and congrats to the losers! I don't know why it's so hard to diet in summer! I would've expected it to be easier when it's warmer and we're supposed to feel like eating less I don't drink much because of meds so it's not alcohol...
I have a LOT to loose - have managed 7.5 kg so far but have been stuck there since May
I am counting calories with mfp. TBH 7lbs in a month is probably unrealistic but no harm in aiming high!
QuimReaper · 31/08/2017 23:42
Hurrah for a new thread! I'm loving the determination everyone seems to be exuding, I think we've all whipped each other up into a victorious mood!
Love the title BOOP - and tell MrBOOP that's exactly the kind of obscure pun I'd try and shoehorn into a title, which is the prime reason I'm not in charge of them...!
Badhairday1001 · 31/08/2017 23:43
Can I join please? I've been logging everything on mfp and doing some HIIT workouts and the weight is shifting very slowly. This might give me some motivation. I've got 2.5 stone to lose.
BitOutOfPractice · 31/08/2017 23:47
Quim I had an 8-line, 2 stanza poem going on but it got so long I had to edit!
I'm not in charge BTW. Any of you are welcome to start a thread I know I'm too bossy
BitOutOfPractice · 31/08/2017 23:47
Badhair you are most welcome. Perhaps hairspray an help you with the bad hair
notsobeachready · 31/08/2017 23:54
Placemarking and introducing :)
Weighed in today, 17st 10. My bipolar medication has really done something to my metabolism like stopped it and put it in reverse.
But. I'm not being down hearted, tracking on mfp and aiming to do as much dog walking as possible (doesn't help that my mutt is exactly like me, any excuse to stay on the sofa is fine by him!).
Keen to see if really tracking my cals in/out makes a difference (to be fair, once you've opened the bar of Dairy milk, you may as well eat the whole thing for free, eh? )
BitOutOfPractice · 31/08/2017 23:59
Hello beachy. I think tracking everything. And I mean everything. Is absolutely key.
And welcome to the best thread on mn. True fact.
Badhairday1001 · 01/09/2017 00:00
If I could get my weight and my hair fixed on one thread I would be very happy 😂
Badhairday1001 · 01/09/2017 00:04
I have bought some kitchen scales today and plan on weighing everything. It's the only thing that I can think of to speed things up. I log absolutely everything but have just been estimating weights of foods and I'm struggling to lose even 1lb a week despite me thinking that I'm sticking to 1600 cals. Hopefully food weighing will be the key for me.
DrMadelineMaxwell · 01/09/2017 01:14
July was great for me.
August a write off. Between going away for a week and relaxing far too much for the rest of the school hols I've managed to put on all the weight I lost in July. Even with lots more exercise.
Bavk to work I the morning, salad already made in the fridge and starting again.
Breakfast only if hungry for it.
Fruit snack in the morning.
Salad, fruit, cereal bar lunch.
Something healthy and not too carby for dinner.
Drop sugary snacks.
No eating out. Saves £ too.
Exercise 3 x week. Aim for 10k steps
DrMadelineMaxwell · 01/09/2017 01:16
Will also try and get back in the habit of meal planning and logging. I prefer nutracheck to mfp as it's a UK thing. But not free. Will find out the final damage when I weigh in the morning.
Softpebbles · 01/09/2017 07:39
Thanks for the thread BOOP!
I started September with a 6am boot camp class. 😇
I will get into the 10's this month!
BitOutOfPractice · 01/09/2017 07:46
Look how determined we all are.
Pebbles that's a golden start
DrMads I find it easier to stick to plan when I'm back in routine
HairsprayBabe · 01/09/2017 08:00
Hello all starting September at 10.6
That is +1lb for August.
Considering I had a mini break, a holiday and a bank holiday in that time I think I have done reasonably well.
I will also be getting 7 lbs off this month. That will bring me within a whisker of goal weight (9 and a half ish)!
We can do it Slenderistas!
leesmum · 01/09/2017 08:05
Welcome to all our new ladies
9.6 for me today, not entirely surprised but I certainly need to get back to 9 stone by the end of this month!!!
