September is here and the Slenderistas (and TV) have their game face on.

Golden days will be in abundance as we aim to shift 7 Lindas in September

I'm getting "Slender is task" made into a poster for my office!

Slender is task! I love it! That should be our motto.

Welcome beachy and bad to The Best Thread on Mumsnet™!

Bad I know around 1lb a week doesn't sound like much, but it sounds like a fairly standard and healthy rate of loss if you can keep it up. I do understand how boring it can get when it's comparatively slow, but that's what we're here for Grin Scales definitely help though. BOOP's had great success with really strict and accurate logging - I think it can make a real difference, it's so easy to overestimate on things like rice and pasta, and things you might nibble on absent-mindedly like berries (which afterwards you look in MFP and think "how many strawberries did I just eat? Surely no more than five..." and then you go back to the punnet and it's 3/4 gone).

(That might be just me Blush )

BOOP it just wouldn't be the same without you at the helm! Also pleeeeeeease post the poem. Can we start each thread with a poem? I'm sure MrBOOP will be thrilled to add to the end-of-month rhyming and punning responsibilities Wink

slender is task indeed Smile

My September start point is 12st 7 3/4. A Linda higher than yesterday but i'm thinking dinner at 9.30 will do that to me

Not planning on an extravagant weekend so hoping no real damage and then our Steptember thing starts on Monday so I will be aiming for 10,000 steps each day

I would love to be a consiistent 12st 4 by the end of the monthHmm

pebbles - I love autumn and winter clothes too, gloves , hats and cosy down puffa jackets are my favourites (obsessions).

I seem to manage to lose between 1-2 stone at start of each year, then it (and sometimes more!) creeps back on with summer ice cream and all things sugar intake! If I could just kick the sugar things would be so much easier, but I always end up back on it and binging on sweets / chocolate etc etc Angry I've at least 2 stone that needs shifting again sigh

I lost 3-4lbs last month taking into account fluctuations of 1lb here and there which we all do.

I just realised that I programmed MFP with a target weight of 62kg which is around 9.10.

I'm currently 63.5 so that leaves me only 1.5kg or 3lbs off my target weight.

I'm not sure if I should readjust is and make my goal a bit lower.

Slender! Is! Task!

Hello all! My last official weigh in for the month will have to happen tomorrow, so I will set my goals then but normally (if I am sticking to my calories) I lose about 2-4lbs a month, so that would be nice this month.

Welcome to the newbies!

Niki how do you feel at your weight at the moment? You're quite tall aren't you? I would be wary of losing too much.

Can I join in?

I've just returned from an AI holiday and a run of breaks & trips
So since April I've gained 13lbs

I'd like to lose that by the beginning of September
I've set a list of rules regarding cheat meals and alcohol

Currently 9st 13lbs

adara I understand your chocolate and sweet stuff challenges Smile. I think I have the sweetest tooth in the group Blush

quim has spent much of the year telling me to drop my evening dessert habit. She is almost succeeding and I'm sure you will benefit too Smile

Haha! Adara as TV says, I'll sort you out! He is definitely with you on the sweet tooth but I think is making inroads with some hectoring from me Wink so you have a friend. I'm lucky not to suffer so much with sweet cravings - I love chocolate and things but find them very much the easiest to resist; wine, cheese and carbs on the other hand...

Welcome to the thread by the way, and you too Mozz!

SLENDER. IS. TASK.

I'm about 3 Lindas from goal weight too Niki - don't you find losing those last couple can be much harder than losing the previous four or five? Confused It's like my body knows what my goal weight is and wants to sabotage me.

And if Quimmy isn't telling you off it will be me! Wink

I am going back to HARDCORE blood sugar diet for the next 8 weeks see where I am after that!

QuimReaper · 01/09/2017 11:24

Oh my goodness Hairspray are you really? That is true dedication! I guess it's somewhat easier knowing you've done it before and can do it again?

I keep over eating at the weekends and it is ruining my progress!

Even if I only stick to it for 4 weeks I think it will help me break the cycle!

I'm all ready for a golden weekend. I am doing dry September (with an exception next weekend when I'm running a race and have promised myself a pint afterwards, and the following weekend when I'm away with my three besties from uni days. Can't wait). So actually only semi dry September Confused

I can certainly vouch for hairspray being a very able deputy for quim's sweet and chocolate task force Smile.

What does hardcore blood sugar diet mean hairspray?
I'm sure its far too much prep work for me but would love to know what it entails

So Spurious I feel good at current weight but only a whisker away from 10st at only 5ft4ins is too much for me. I just want to be comfortably into the 9s.

Checking in, I'm starting Monday having had a shocking summer. I'm off meat again though, so hopefully it won't be too depressing when I weigh in!!

Hardcore bsd for me too. Though trying to decide if I'll cut out alcohol completely again or just stick to small amounts of low cal red wine.
