d270r0 · 11/09/2017 11:43

Yes! Feeling all better today and when went on the scales this morning after not eating much yesterday had not only lost all the extra weight I'd put on but lost an extra pound as well! Down to 12st 11. Now just to make sure it stays off. Will update.

d270r0 · 11/09/2017 11:49

Have updated myself and anyone else who put official weigh in since last update.

I'm back up to 66 ... FFS !
Pass me the bread ....

ARichVernacular · 12/09/2017 06:47

OFFICIAL weigh in: 10st 12! I'll take that :) Who knew that eating less and doing more exercise actually results in weight loss? Blush

So my stats are: SW 11st 2 / GW 9st 6 / current loss 4? / total loss 4

I know some of it will be water weight but still, exciting.

TitsalinaBumSqoosh · 12/09/2017 07:08

Hello ladies, I'm still here lurking in the background. Still no weighed yet, I'm still have issues with constipation digestion. I'm still trekking on though. Well done losers!

Sierra259 · 12/09/2017 14:11

OFFICIAL WEIGH IN

11st 8 1/2 so I maintained this week. Am ok with that as I had a few minor lapses last week and just came on my period yesterday so have been feeling quite bloated. Aiming to be stricter again this week, may be tricky as DC1 starts school and I'll probably be a bit over-emotional! Confused

Well done losers this week!

d270r0 · 12/09/2017 22:27

Ok so I have eaten loads today...
but that aside, I feel like I have made good progress. I went through my emtire wardrobe today and tried everything on. It took ages! But now I have finally taken the mountains of clothes that are still too small for me out as they were pre-kids and put into nearby storage, stuff I don't want for charity and am left with lots of decent, wearable stuff inc. quite a few items that were languishing at the bottom of the pile that actually do now fit :)
I plan to go back through the too small stuff when I have lost another half a stone and hopefully will gain a few more wearable items.

pfrench · 13/09/2017 07:18

d270 - I did that in the summer. Only stuff that fits in the wardrobe. Is good really, stops the morning depression feeling!

I lost another 2lbs since last Friday morning. I'm weighing after each fast day as that's the way for me to get a quick benefit. Think that's 8 in total in 2 weeks, so pretty happy with that. I'm never very good at remembering weights, I should write it down.

ARichVernacular · 13/09/2017 10:22

So tired today, and really feeling the hunger now too - I was quite enjoying it last week, today not so much...

Sparrowlegs248 · 13/09/2017 12:41

Hello all, I've been stupidly busy, and tbh after only putting 1lb on when I was away, I've totally failed at eating well. So, I'm checking back in and kicking my arse!!

Today I've eaten
2 mini flapjacks
Branflakes
Several custard creams.
A cheese scone with butter.
Two boiled eggs with two slices granary bread and butter
Two chocolate chip brioche rolls. Ffs.

d270r0 · 13/09/2017 21:08

Don't worry Notta- everyone has bad days- it doesn't matter as long as you can counteract them with good days.
I had a bad day yesterday- massive scone with jam and cream, hot choc with cream, loads of choc, fish and chips!

But today I have had a really looooong day at work and have only eaten what I took with me- grapes, a little graze box thing, a carrot and 2 300kcal john west tuna/salmon meals. So I reckon it will counteract yesterday.

wantawaistagain · 14/09/2017 21:53

I feel like I've stalled this week. I don't think I'm eating enough protein and I'm craving sweet stuff. I'll try and up the exercise before I weigh in on Monday.

HLBug · 15/09/2017 10:18

Hello everyone, I'm just back from a week in the sunshine where I've eaten all manor of shite. Ready to get back on the wagon now though! Not caught up with the thread but hope everyone is doing well and keeping focused on our festive goals!!

ARichVernacular · 15/09/2017 12:57

Snacks found me yesterday Hmm Nothing too terrible, but I need to not fall back in the habit.

On the straight and narrow today...at least until later, when I'm going out drinking and dancing with my friend Grin

pfrench · 15/09/2017 19:33

Another lb down this morning. We've worked out how to do 500 cals on fast days without feeling too rationed. Quite like eating on those days... Asian slaw, homemade soups etc.

9 in total. By Christmas I reckon I can get another stone off. Doing lots more exercise - mile a day at school, 3 miles twice a week, swimming 2k a week, various HIIT things with weights. Fitness needed for skiing, which is more important than weight loss really.

NaughtyElephants · 15/09/2017 23:00

Hi all, not checked in for a while, good to hear of some successes among the gang!

I don't dare step on the scales, it's been that bad. Think I need to adopt a new strategy.

Pfrench your 500 cal fast day food sounds interesting, please can you tell me what foods you're eating for that? Think 5:2 might be the way to go for me. I'm exercising loads but not controlling food very well.

Also I've focussed on cardio and a PT friend has told me that building muscle is more important as it will make my body use fuel more efficiently.

Doseydots · 16/09/2017 07:29

Morning everybody, I have had a busy week so this is my first check in, I have finally lost 2lb. I think the back to school routine is really helping. By the time I sit down in an evening, it's nearly bedtime and I am trying not to eat after tea. I think what was helped this week is ditching my porridge for fruit at breakfast, salad and not sandwiches for lunch and not eating after my tea. Also MFP and doing 10k steps a day. I have even been jogging on the spot before bed to get them last steps in!

I hope I can stay motivated this weekend, I have friends over tonight for wine and snacks. It will be a test for me!

pfrench · 16/09/2017 10:33

My 500 cal day:

B'fast - yogurt and stewed apple or a one egg omelette with ham and cucumber/tomato salad - around 100/110 cals.

Lunch - homemade carrot and coriander soup with 5 croutons and some cooked chicken chopped in to it - 80 cal soup + 60 for chicken and croutons

Dinner - salmon fillet with green veg - 200 for salmon + 40 of green veg.

I'm not being strict about the 500 limit, I figure anything around 400 - 650 is alright.

Have had a couple of ready meals for dinner, but figure salmon is better for me. Feel quite well nourished on that to be honest. I don't drink tea or coffee anyway, so haven't had to count cals for milk.

honeyandginger48 · 16/09/2017 11:53

Hello all. Happy weekend! First OFFICIAL WEIGH IN for two weeks. Was away last weekend watching my other half running in the Great North Run - so I was far too busy eating crap and drinking gin to weigh myself.😀

Back to normal again now.

Have lost 1lb in two weeks which is slow but I'm happy with it... Still managing to keep up 16:8 fast (just!) and mostly sticking to Harcombe way of eating (not mixing fats with carbs)....

Official weigh in. I lost 2lbs this week, now 165lbs. I felt so good, I decided to try on the "ideal weight" jeans which have been hanging in my wardrobe for years. BIG mistake! They're a size 12, but not a normal size 12, more like an 8! The upshot was I nearly gave myself a hernia getting them on, then cut off the blood supply to my legs when I buttoned them up. The resulting THREE sets of muffin tops was a sight to behold!Shock I won't be making THAT error again in a hurry!BlushGrin

WildIrishRose1 · 16/09/2017 12:04

155lbs! Where is my head!!

HLBug · 16/09/2017 13:15

Wild I did something similar yesterday when I was packing away summer clothes (sniff) and taking out all my autumn / winter gear. Tried on a jumper dress that I love love love from pre children weight. I basically looked like an overstuffed sausage. Not good Blush Maybe by Christmas?!

TitsalinaBumSqoosh · 16/09/2017 19:54

Just wanted to let you know that I'm still here, I've had a weekend off for DS's birthday but I'm committed to getting back on it first thing tomorrow.
