With 15 weeks untill the beginning of December I'm aiming to lose 1 pound a week. First weigh in tomorrow - anyone want to join me?

I'm struggling a bit with hunger as well. I had my breakfast at 4AM one morning this week because I ate my last meal around five and didn't eat afterwards and the hunger woke me up. I went back to bed though. Are you low-carbing?

TitsalinaBumSqoosh · 08/09/2017 13:05

No I'm following MFP, I have quite a low cal allowance every day, my TDEE is low.
I might make a big pan of veggie soup or something that's really low cal that I can snack on once or twice a day.

wantawaistagain · 08/09/2017 14:13

I find bagels extremely filling but they're probably not the most nutritious. If I had two slice of toast I'd be hungry again very soon but a bagel keeps me going for hours. I've made a big pot of soup for myself the last two weeks. I even have a special cup for microwaving it which minimises the mess. I'm another pound down this week so soup does do something.

Sierra259 · 08/09/2017 16:32

I've taken to nibbling on Ryvita if I get peckish. That or a whole carrot.

TitsalinaBumSqoosh · 08/09/2017 19:57

I had a pork stir fry for dinner, it seems to have filled me up so that's something. 👍🏻

pfrench · 08/09/2017 20:53

Well I'm now 6lbs for 10 days, which is pretty good. Feeling better, although still a few lbs off my heaviest last summer, so no idea why I'm feeling alright. At this weight I was feeling awful last year!

Doseydots · 09/09/2017 06:07

I have been so much better behaved this week but the scales just are not moving. I have really changed my habits and just not eating as much, I am biking to work and taking the stairs and walking my 10k steps. I think it's an age thing, I am 44 and it the fat sticks like glue.

I am even listening to Michael Sealey hypnotic sessions on youtube. I plug him in every night and listen to his weight loss program, welll iPad least I get a good night sleep and I wake up full of energy.

I shall keep trying. I will log on MFP today and see how I go.

Doseydots · 09/09/2017 06:08

at, not iPad

TitsalinaBumSqoosh · 09/09/2017 07:53

I'm not sure I'll be weighing in this week ladies because embarrassingly, its been 3 days that I've not been able to go to the loo. Blush that's got to weigh something! Wink

oneleftinthenest · 09/09/2017 08:25

Would love to lose some weight by December . I will be doing dry October & November , joining the gym to do weights and buying a Fitbit to reach 10,000 steps , good luck everyone

AIMGA · 09/09/2017 08:29

Eeeeeeek. Just did a sneaky weigh in and I am HEAVIER than when I started,
Confused i am absolutely baffled!!

Not sure whether it is a blip, but need to be super mindful as I have a meal out tonight and tomorrow lunch.

Will fast till 12 today, then have soup for lunch and then nothing till tea. Tomorrow, will fast till lunch, then soup for tea. Wish me luck Grin

Official weigh in. Nothing off this week. I did ok food-wise, but I feel bloated. Poor you, tits! I hate that feeling - hopefully you'll have some refilled soon (and drop a few pounds in the process - silver linings, eh?Grin) Enjoy the weekend, everyone!

WildIrishRose1 · 09/09/2017 08:31

This happens to me a lot, AIMGA, I don't know why. I used to keep checking the scales, but I now know it's usually a blip.

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/09/2017 08:44

Morning all, back from holiday, 1lb heavier this morning. I'll take that!!

AIMGA · 09/09/2017 09:23

That's not bad notta!

It's a good kick up the bum wild, I need to focus...so sick of my flabby love handles hanging over my too tight jeans Sad

Ugh what a pain! i know it sounds weird, but make sure you are eating enough - sometimes bodies seem to switch into hoarding if they aren't getting enough, and upping your intake actually makes it easier to lose weight. (Obviously this doesn't work in actual cases of starvation! But in our western 'hmm not as many nutrients today' I know a lot of people who find it hard if they cut down calories too much. I'm sure there's a pseudo-scientific rationale somewhere...

theancientmarinader · 10/09/2017 02:25

Dosey, I'm 46 and I feel your pain. Grin should probably have done this ten years ago when the dcs were 3, 5, and 7.
I have my 24 HR BP monitor Mon/ tues and am not supposed to work out until they figure out what's going on. So hopefully I can start moving a bit more in the middle of the week. I'm just restless and antsy, which makes me wander into the pantry... am trying to exercise willpower!

hugomcwooferton · 10/09/2017 03:39

Joining! Starting the 30 day shred again tomorrow !

ARichVernacular · 10/09/2017 08:07

Still doing well on the no snacking thing :) I'm usually terrible for hoofing down bread or cream crackers with butter when I get home from work, but haven't felt the need at all so far. Also no booze apart from Friday night (watching telly with DH) and last night (at a party).

Having a slightly more relaxed Sunday, foodwise, but won't go mad.

Have also walked lots this week.

Onwards and upwards!

NaughtyElephants · 10/09/2017 09:04

Just did a random weigh in as I'm back from hols and wanted to check. Unofficial weigh of 12.5. So 1lb gain from 2 weeks ago. I did enjoy nice food on hols, but I also averaged 15k steps every day in the last week plus ran 4 times so I was hoping to have maintained. Hey ho. Back on it again and aiming to reduce sugar this week. Will do an official weigh on Friday.

Also whoever upthread said weight is harder to lose as you age, that's scientific fact unfortunately. I'm late 30s and think I should still be able to shift it relatively easily but just not managing v well Confused

Oh and I have a new motivation- DH installed cctv cameras after an attempted break in and seeing myself going in and out, hanging washing etc...well the width of my hips and chunk of my thighs from behind are not pretty viewing!

starlight36 · 10/09/2017 09:15

Weigh-in this morning and lost 1lbs this week so am down to 11st 1.

Slightly better eating this week and lots of walking. Need to do more exercise this week.

wantawaistagain · 10/09/2017 09:47

OFFICIAL Weigh in: SW 144, GW 133, Loss this week 1lb, Total loss 3lb.

I did a lot of walking and I've been good about not eating after 6 so I was hoping for 2lb but 1 is OK. Almost down to 10 stone now and intend to get going with exercise DVDs this week and hopefully be in the 9stone somethings next week.

jd88123 · 10/09/2017 12:48

OFFICIAL weigh in: 2lbs down and 3 inches off this week. I agree with the not eating enough as ive only been having on average 900 cals a day with low carbs. Is it not Christmas yet? Dreaming of roasties. Well done everyone

wantawaistagain · 10/09/2017 16:11

I don't talk about dieting or weight loss around my children but they are inadvertently very helpful with the whole process. I just opened a cake 15 minutes ago and had a tiny slice and now the rest of said cake has magically disappeared and can't tempt me back for seconds. Smile

d270r0 · 10/09/2017 18:32

I wasn't very good on Friday and Saturday, then when I weighed myself this morning my weight had shot up :( But have been feeling dodgy all day today and eaten very little as a result so secretly hoping that will help it go down again.
