With 15 weeks untill the beginning of December I'm aiming to lose 1 pound a week. First weigh in tomorrow - anyone want to join me?

OP posts:
Toblernone · 04/09/2017 07:40

Can I join too? Currently 13st, managed to lose 2lbs so far just cutting down on chocolate and Coke but would like to lose 2.5st eventually. Would love to lose enough to be able to get into my long boots in a few weeks, my calves are far too large at the moment!

Wishfulmakeupping · 04/09/2017 08:48

Sparrowlegs248 · 04/09/2017 09:11

Wishful, it's hard going, I'm pretty sure I had a scale mishap to start but even so, only 1.5 lb down in the whole time and I'm off fir a week away now..... Keep at it!

Hulashaker · 04/09/2017 09:25

I just put a post on about losing 10kgs. I weigh twice daily, but get quite obsessive when dieting which is why I do it in kgs as I don't know what the means in stones.

I am cutting our carbs entirely this week and having cereal for two of my three meals with no snacks in between - or at least that's the plan

TwinkleTwinkleLittleEtoile · 04/09/2017 09:40

Can I join you? My weight has crept up a little recently. It's not a major problem, I just want to be easily getting size 12 clothes on, rather than having to breathe in and hope for the best! I don't measure my weight, just go on how I feel and how my clothes fit.

Things I'm doing are as follows. Sugar really affects my weight (had to go sugar free when pregnant and I've never been thinner) so I'm cutting out fruit juice, sugary cereals and all biscuit snacks at work. I've upped my exercise classes from one to two a week. I'm attempting to make lunches at home a bit healthier. More veg based soups instead of baguette and pate. I've cut out beer and cider, which I love in the summer. Now it's getting into autumn that last one should be easy to stick to.

Good luck everybody!

OFFICIAL WEIGH IN

11st 2 so no change, frankly I'm shocked I haven't gained but I'm annoyed with myself that I've wasted a week.

Just noticed that on the list my goal weight is 9st, much as I'd love that I think it's a bit ambitious! Could it be changed to 9st 8 please? Not sure how to do it myself on my phone. Thanks.

Down 1.5lb..mainly due to not eating before 12pm or after 8pm and running out of my secret chocolate supply Grin

OP posts:
pfrench · 04/09/2017 11:02

Well I had my first weekend of being able to eat 'anything and anytime', and sort of didn't. Just stuck to my three main meals. I had a cream tea for one of those 'meals' though, so I guess I still had a massive cake! Am sort of liking feeling hungry before I eat, which hasn't been a feature of the last few months.

I'm going to weigh on Friday mornings - makes me less likely to stuff my face over the weekend, and will be after my two fast days for the week. Second fast day tomorrow, yay for Waitrose 109 cal soups!

starlight36 · 04/09/2017 12:33

Sorry - late again!
No change - still 11st 2 so maintained the 1lb loss. Not bad as had a bad last week of school hols with lots of treats.
Currently sipping homemade watercress soup in attempt to lose a bit more this week.

TitsalinaBumSqoosh · 04/09/2017 18:30

Gone way over my calories today, I've had a long, tiring day wrangling four children on a hospital ward whilst trying to fight for my son to receive the right treatment. By the time I've got home I've cooked 4 fat meatballs on pasta sauce but the mince was 20% fat so it's coming out at 800kcal per portion. I can't be bothered to make anything else though so I've eaten it. I'll do better tomorrow.

HLBug · 04/09/2017 19:23

Too cold and rainy to do anything good today Sad Need to invest in some cosy jumpers!! I'm always hungrier when I'm cold.

AIMGA · 04/09/2017 19:33

Ah tits that sounds really tough. Well done you Flowers. Don't beat yourself up Smile.

Feeling pretty disheartened - doing everything right and only 1.6kg down so far ... ran 23km last week and did boot camp. Being strict on eating and have cut out wheat. Grrr ... this is hard. I'm updated ladies, well done everyone !

OFFICIAL WEIGH IN

Have lost 3lb so chuffed, especially as I had a couple of minor wobbles over the weekend. Have been forcing myself to get on the exercise bike for 30 minutes most evenings and trying to fit in as many low/no carb meals as I can in a week, plus being strict about the chocolate! Hopefully this will keep me motivated now! Welcome to all newbies, well done to those with loses and keep going to those who feel progress is slow Smile

TitsalinaBumSqoosh · 05/09/2017 07:44

Thanks for the kind words, another difficult day on the ward looms, in going to go in better prepared food wise today and attempt to eat much less carbs and I WONT graze on the kids food Blush

I'm coming for that 149 number on the scales and I hope to be there in the next 2 weeks!

TitsalinaBumSqoosh · 05/09/2017 08:25

I have packed a chicken salad and fruit and a bottle of water. The kids have picky bits for lunch and then mash, chicken and veggies with gravy for ward dinner. I'll have fish and veggies for a quick dinner when I get in.

Back to school tomorrow so hopefully a routine will emerge. Only another 2 weeks on the ward

AIMGA · 05/09/2017 09:42

You are super woman tits, great planning ahead! You will feel much better equipped to deal with all that today throws up at you, when not in a carb roller coaster too Flowers

OP posts:
NaughtyElephants · 05/09/2017 11:15

I didn't get chance to weigh Monday and now on hols with no scales. So will weigh sat when I'm back. Dreading it, had almond croissant for brek but have already covered 10k in a combination of 6k run and the rest walking while the kids had a bike ride. So maybe if I'm sensible I can enjoy my food and still lose a lb. fingers crossed. Keep going everyone!

ARichVernacular · 05/09/2017 13:19

I am breaking my self-imposed MN posting ban in order to join thus thread, because I really need to sort myself out. A summer of beer, crisps and sloth has left me as fat as I've ever been - so cross with myself as was working with a personal trainer and getting quite fit at the start of the year.

Not sure of exact weight yet as need to set up new scales, but I need to lose at least 2st. I'm only 5'4" and look best somewhere in the 9st bracket.

I'm back at work now so routine should help, plus I have to walk 20 brisk minutes each way between the office and my car. Plan is to stop snacking and randomly boozing, be more mindful and do more exercise (difficult to fit in around DH's work atm).

Going well so far...

Doseydots · 05/09/2017 17:56

Very disheartened this morning, I stepped on the scales and I have put on half a stone in the school holidays. i was determined to have a good day until I found out there was a cake sale at work. So today has been another fail. I will be good tomorrow. I need to shift this half a stone before it creeps.
