May I join you please? I'm currently on week three of the Blood Sugar Diet 800. I do post on those forums but they are a bit quiet. I work in a school so in theory August should be a bit easier as I have time to prepare food and thoroughly plan every mouthful. And I've joined a gym.

Have a fabulous time hairspray

Hello where! How are you finding the BSD? Have you lost much? Or are you doing it for health reasons?

Have a fab time Hairspray! Enjoy every minute. 😊 Madeline you are the holiday poster girl, that's a brilliant result!

poorpaws that feeling of just 'ah feck it, I have ruined it now, might as well carry on' is so familiar. I would bet we have all had that experience. Hope you are feeling better today. Fill yourself up with nutritious lovely food so you don't feel hungry or unsatisfied and know that you can do this.

Niki do you have any access to cooking facilities at all that you could batch cook stuff in advance?

Morning all! I'm still hovering about 3lbs above my lowest weight so far. Going out for drinks with colleagues tonight so I'm unlikely to be golden today. Also yesterday my bodypump class was full, so I couldn't get in. So so far this week I have done no exercise and no fast days Confused

Woohoo bon voyage Hairspray, have an amazing time!

Welcome where! 3 weeks of the BSD, you're doing brilliantly - that's halfway through the 800 stage isn't it? You've just missed Hairspray who is the only one I know of on this thread who did the BSD (and she's lost seventy Lindas), but we're a friendly bunch and I'm no stranger to low-caling - do make yourself comfortable in the Best Thread on Mumsnetâ„¢

Come to think of it, I basically have been doing the BSD for the past 10 days, calorie-wise at least.

I'm rather enjoying it! I've lost 10lb in 17 days. I had 28 hours off when camping last weekend which led to a 2lb gain but have lost that plus more since.

I'm hoping that the reaction of my colleagues when I go back to work at the beginning of week 8 will spur me on! Starting weight 15 stone 2 (although was 16st 5 last September Shock), hoping to get as low as possible over the 8 weeks and then review things.

Had cauliflower rice for the first time yesterday - pilau version with mushrooms. Gorgeous stuff!

I want to try out cauli rice Wheres but I don't have a food processor, do I need one?

That 2lb will have just been water and bloat by the sounds of it

Niki I was going to suggest the same - couple of huge tubs of stew or something cooked up in advance should "keep" for a week in big tupperwares, and you could decant each morning, if you have access to a microwave?

And possibly a big frittata, which is fine cold as well as hot?

QuimReaper · 03/08/2017 09:41

You could also roast a chicken, and make a big pasta salad, to combine for lunches?

No not really any access to cooking facilities.

Good news is i am 64kg or 10.1

Lowest weight for years.

What about buying a cooked chicken from the deli counter, bag of salad and a french loaf? Should be several days' worth there.

Have a lovely time hairspray. Remember it's just 10 days, you're allowed to let your hair down

paws please dont let a small setback at the start of the month bug you too much. Plenty of time for a happy ending to August Smile

I finally did it...my scales showed me at 12st 6 something (ok 3/4) but still it was a 7...quite pleased given its holidays in two days. I would love to come back with a result like Dr and still be close to 12st 7 and I certainly hope to walk and swim plenty with hopefully a few morning runs or power walks thrown in. Hoping to try water aerobics for first time too.....Hmm

Quim - (excellent user name but feels offensive to call you that) you can just grate it. I just used the grater attachment on the food processor. The lid is broken and I now have cauliflower rice all over my kitchen... manual grating may be safer!

Lush cooked breakfast just now. Leftovers from yesterday's low carb Indian extravaganza for supper. I tend to eat between 10 and 6 so guess I am doing 16:8 too!

Niki lowest weight you say? Thats brill!

I'm 4 down since my hols. Still an embarrassing 5 above my lowest Blush

Out for pizza, drinks and football with my niece. Is anyone else following the Women's Euros? Those girls are fabulous role models. Fit, strong, skillful, dedicated and playing with such joy. Smashing stuff.

Quim you can buy it ready made in the pre-prepped veg section. That way you can try i before you bother grating. We eat it a lot here

Bit - we took DD to an England ladies rugby match a couple of years ago. It was a joy to behold her looking at the pitch then looking down at her muscly thighs and having an "oh, that's ok then" moment! She's played nearly every week since. I always try to talk about bodies in terms of health and fitness and strength rather than fat or thin. I'm terrified she'll end up a long term yoyo dieter like me.

Would it be weird to take my bathroom scales camping next week? It would, wouldn't it. I'm just scared of going off plan and undoing all the good work. I feel so much better and healthier at the moment.

I'm new to MN and really need to join this thread!! Unfortunately the batteries in my bathroom scales have died so unsure of my current weight. Thanks to Amazon Prime, they'll be back in working order tomorrow, although I'm not sure that's a good thing!
At my 8 week check 2 weeks ago, I was half a stone up on my booking in weight of 12 stone. In reality though, I was feeling fat when I fell pregnant so need to lose a good 1.5 / 2 stone to feel comfortable. I'm 5'8" so can carry a bit of weight, but would rather not.
Biscuits and cakes are my downfall at the moment, along with a cheeky glass or two of wine. I'm not sure I'd want to give the wine up though tbh! Grin

mum i dont think there are many....actually any of us.... on this thread who have given up wine Smile

After a day of cleaning up poonamis and having milk puked down your back several times, a glass of wine often feels like a necessity! Grin
