I expect I'm not going to get many in today either because... it's going to rain Blush

TVHubbyClaire · 02/08/2017 11:22

stellar not on babybel train yet but will be fully onboard after holidays I hope Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 02/08/2017 11:25

Hello Zeus! Being bit small if brain, I don't understand your question Blush Whst do you mean, how do I prep?

TVHubbyClaire · 02/08/2017 11:26

hairspray I dont find you preachy at all, you tell me all the things I dont read up on myself. All of your hints, tips and suggestions are gratefully received and even changed my Nandos order for ever Smile

My concern is I will need more preaching if I'm going to get below the 12st 7 mark. I am almost a stone down since joining in January and I'm 2 or 3 Lindas away from healthy BMI which is something else I didnt know about until you ladies enlightened me.

Ultimate would be to see an 11st 13 reading but I think I will have to assess my Christmas goal once I get back from holiday and check the damage....Hmm

HairsprayBabe · 02/08/2017 11:53

Hey Zeus, I don't have kids, so just make DP eat what I am having for dinner Grin

You could use courgetti or boodles, or cauliflower rice but if we are having chilli or curry I just have it in a bowl like a stew and dont bother replacing the carbs, would work with bolagnase, burgers I just have with salad no bun no chips etc.

SoapyChoc · 02/08/2017 12:13

Hi all just caught up on the thread and am feeling inspired to add in some fast days which I have never considered before. My July loss was 5.5 Lindas. Haven't been so focussed since my appointment so would be good to try the odd fast day to try and speed things up a bit. All tips welcome. Thanks.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/08/2017 12:19

I've just had egg on toast. In my mind it was breakfast but I see it's actually lunchtime. Might try and power through to dinner now.

I may actually catch up with your step count then Quim, as I have been for a run. But only for the briefest of moments I am sure!

Hey Zeus (just wanted to say that! 😆), I sometimes have courgetti (done in butter and cream cheese mmmmm) as a carb 'replacement' but generally I find there is enough food on my plate with all the veg, protein and fats. So don't focus on the absence of carbs, focus on the veg, protein and good fats that you are having that will fill you up no problem.

QuimReaper · 02/08/2017 14:42

Zeus I tend to just have the protein and veg element and add carbs in for DH: for example, I have a salmon fillet on a pile of sliced peppers, courgette and salad, and I do a small amount of mashed potato or Orzo with pesto on the side for him. There isn't an easy way of adapting carb-dominant meals like pasta - you'd have to make the sauce and make yourself courgetti or something on the side separately - so I tend to save those meals for when I can enjoy them too, and stick to protein and veg which can have a carb element added.

Like Hairspray I also tend to be happy with stew without mash/bread, stir fry without rice etc., so just make a small amount of that for DH.

(Personally I think burgers without the bun ruins the fun though - rhymes so it must be true Grin - so that's another thing I save for a treat meal.)

QuimReaper · 02/08/2017 14:43

Oooooh pony I see you sneaking up to my tail. If it ever bloody stops raining I'm off!

lastqueenofscotland · 02/08/2017 15:28

Done 19000 steps and some yoga already and feeling good. Making the most of a day off! Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 02/08/2017 19:25

This abs challenge is killing me and I'm only on day two Blush Tell me it gets better

Twas but a brief dalliance Quim, you are streets ahead again! 😆 Ah well, it's all about the chase. 😊

Wow last, that's an active day off! BOOP it must do, surely.

I have been known to order a burger in a restaurant but either leave the bun or only have half. Or there are some places that will wrap the burger in lettuce leaves, that actually works well. let's ignore the fact that I might pass on the bun but still get stuck into the chips

Softpebbles · 02/08/2017 21:01

BOOP I started in day 10 and have been doing for 5 days. I'm finding it ok to be honest.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 02/08/2017 21:09

Helloooo.....I have been on my hols and am back! Hopefully with renewed focus.

We were half board and I ate (many) pastries for lunch with hot choc and cappuchinos.

Lunches were mostly skipped if still stuffed from lunch, or snacks of fruit and crisps.
Dinners were all you can eat on the buffet, but due to getting a bit bored with the choices, I ate lighter and lighter choices through the week - meat and salad for the last 2 days.

Desserts were scoffed, but again I'm fussy and a lot were not to my taste so I had ice cream or fruit.

We walked 10-20k steps a day. Swam. And I did aqua fit at the hotel pool 3 times as it was such fun.

I managed to put on 0.8 of a lb. Result!

Back to it tomorrow. I've booked my zumba class for tomorrow and clubbercise for Fri night. And we've shopped to fill the fridge with healthy stuff for the week ahead.

Meal planning is next step. :) :)

QuimReaper · 02/08/2017 21:33

WOW Madeline that's an absolute stunner of a result, bloody well done!

Buggers are my downfall. Even if I don't want something I end up eating it because it's there Confused

Ah pony see I'm chasing BOOP but I still can't quite catch her! Tomorrow will be my day I think Grin

PlumFairy2014 · 02/08/2017 21:37

That's such a good point Quim! I am crap at 500 days, crap at WW, slimming world, but I rarely want to eat before 3pm. To be honest my weight always stayed down when I just ate when I really wanted prior to having a baby now a toddler.

Dr that's great! I put more on than that during a week at home! Not now I'm an official slenderista of course....

poorpaws · 02/08/2017 22:29

Squiffy snap, I haven't been to WW either. I was doing so well and within half a pound of my target and now I've ruined it all. I wouldn't even dare admit how many chocolate bars I've eaten in the last three days plus crisps and even glasses of wine and I don't drink! I'm so sick of myself.

I blame the weather! I know thats sad but it's very true. It's rained the whole day today and I got absolutely soaked for 2 1/2 hours and I came back home and I've been eating constantly for about eight hours. If it were fine I'd be busy and wouldn't be eating so much. I'll never learn I'm so unhappy tonight.

Well done to those of you who are keeping on losing. I admire you all so much.

NikiBabe · 02/08/2017 22:48

How does one fill up calories healthily amd cheaply during the day when you may have to miss dinner for a while?

I dont think I have anywhere to cook and eat for at least a week and I cant afford dinner out every day.

lastqueenofscotland · 02/08/2017 22:51

Madeline I put on a stone every time I go home!! That's seriously well done.

NikiBabe · 02/08/2017 22:53

Poorpaws the weather does have an effect on mood and things you want to eat. Dont beat yourself up too much about it.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/08/2017 22:54

Oh paws I hate to think of you feeling sad. Try and draw a line under today. Tomorrow is a new day. When you open the naughty cupboard tomorrow, try and imagine I'm lurking inside to deter you! You know you can do this. You've done it before. You know the drill. It's so so tough to find your mojo again I know Flowers

BitOutOfPractice · 02/08/2017 22:56

Plum it'd be great if there were a Slenderista badge wouldn't it? And a secret handshake

DrMM that is indeed a terrific result. Well done!

QuimReaper · 02/08/2017 23:52

paws please be kind to yourself, as I said upthread there was a point last month where almost everyone admitted to having seriously backslid from their lowest weight: not a single one of us has just plugged successfully away at it without any setbacks, we're all just muddling along trying to keep sight of that wagon. Let's make tomorrow a good'un, eh? Flowers

HairsprayBabe · 03/08/2017 06:05
