10.13 😨😱😵😨😳😨😱😵 fuck fuck fuck
Had a bbq yesterday, that may have been an error!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 29/08/2017 08:33

TV that's brilliant, I definitely wouldn't be able to do 10km on no training! Well done!

I'm STS this morning. I had a day off dieting on Saturday but yesterday I managed a fast day, so I guess it all balanced out. Also this may be TMI but my period came early (post coil unpredictability) so I'm hoping that it's water weight and I'm due a whoosh. Fingers crossed!

BitOutOfPractice · 29/08/2017 11:48

Same Boop September HAS to be better for me, this month has been a disaster.

I only have one weekend of plans in September - and I am going to keep it that way! Hopefully I deflate a bit from this weekends excess before the end of the week, if I have put on 1/2 a st this month I may cry!

I am currently +8 on the start of the month! Blush

BitOutOfPractice · 29/08/2017 12:37

I'm up too Hairspray and feeling pretty glum about it. September is going to be better!

I am hoping for a good September too, I'm +2 for the month as of this morning (12st 9 ) and still have thoughts of getting to 12st 4 this year.

Lowest so far has been 12st 6 which i think I hit one day on the scale and then went back up. I need a new workable strategy as I definitely seem to have hit a plateau which concerns me that it will prove easier to move up rather than down...(hmm)

QuimReaper · 29/08/2017 15:36

Hello all! Sounds like there were lots of indulgent Bank Hol weekends, glad it wasn't just me Grin

Mad props on the 10K without training TV, I couldn't begin to do that, you must have great underlying fitness.

I feel a bit gloomy and anxious today. I'm not sure why. I haven't got a whole lot in the calendar but we're having a big party the Sat after next and I can't even be bothered to start planning for it which is most unlike me Confused

TVHubbyClaire · 29/08/2017 18:31

I think its a reducing more than underlying fitness quim Sad. If I dont get my act together i won't be able to do it many more times...

One thing that I am certain about though is that I was running with almost a stone less weight than this time last year and that made a huge difference, even mentally.

There were a couple of times during the run when I told myself I could get round because I was much lighter than before and it helped a lot Smile

I really want to have another weight loss push in September though.......i have a horrible feeling I could put on heaps by end of year if I don't.

Hope there is room on the wagon for us allGrin

TVHubbyClaire · 29/08/2017 18:34

quim hopefully you are just suffering from a little end of summer blues.

Just think it will be a new season shortly and new autumn clothes, hats and gloves always look fab Smile

End of summer! Sad It's still nice and warm here (a bit oppressive the last couple of days in fact) but today it's been so dark. A few degrees cooler but a bit of sunshine would make such a difference.

I have never been able to run 10K so I think it's incredible that you can lace up your shoes and just do it with no training. I think I've said before that I got up to about 7.5K once, but then got shin splints and couldn't run for ages. When I finally tried again my fitness had evaporated completely. It was very demoralising.

QuimReaper · 29/08/2017 20:37

I'm scheduled for another Golden Stint in September, so I'm hoping if I can at least maintain until then, I'll finally smash my target weight!

poorpaws · 29/08/2017 22:09

Another one here who will be up in weight in August. Just had two consecutive golden days trying to limit the damage but I fear it's too late.

I really need to hop on that wagon in September. I think there are quite a few of us struggling at the moment.

My car is being returned in the morning so I suppose I could make Weight Watchers tomorrow night if I really wanted to .

Chin up everyone, we'll all be amazing in September.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 30/08/2017 06:04

I am "only" 1lb or so up since the start of August, but I am definitely on board for a gloriously golden September! I'm getting an early start and having a fast day today.

Koko I calorie-count. I'm currently doing a sort of adapted Quim-plan. Basically I do two fast days a week at about 500 calories, then other weekdays I try to stick to 1200. According to MFP with no exercise I would need 1500 to maintain (ShockSad) so I just picked a number less than that. Then at the weekend if I go over my calories (which obviously, I do) it should all balance out and I should have a weekly deficit that theoretically should result in weight loss. Or that's the idea Grin

Morning all - had a very golden fast day yesterday, fasted till teatime then had a home made veg curry came in under 500.

I have been justly rewarded with 10.9 so 4lbs - although the scales were very uncertain between 8 and 9.

I still have today and tomorrow to lose 3 more lbs to call it even for the month - I am hoping it is glycogen and bloat from all the trash I ate this weekend and will fall off if I remain good.

Focus ladies (and TV) we got this!

September I am coming for you!

TVHubbyClaire · 30/08/2017 08:35

I was 12st 7 3/4 this morning so thats a little better. Only up one Linda from best weight.

I did quite well yesterday by eating nothing until a late lunch, then 100cal cocolate rice cakes in the afternoon and chicken and veg for dinner. Oh and maybe some ice cream and raspberries.....Blush

We are doing a Steptember thing at work so hopefully more walking will help burn some calories.

Am I the only to be thinking there are only 3 more threads until the December one..... Really want to be a steady 12st 4 by the time BOOP launches our christmas thread

BitOutOfPractice · 30/08/2017 09:25

I'm st the gym in an effort to focus me god the day.

Well done on clawing it back so successfully tv and hairspray

Good morning everybody! I have read all of your threads over the months and they have made me chuckle and kept me motivated:) I just wanted to say that my fingers are crossed for you all in September too and it's nice to see that we are all human and enjoyed August too much- as we should! Here's to many more Lindas!

QuimReaper · 30/08/2017 10:17

TV!!!! Grin at the ice-cream, you're incorrigible! Is it really only 3 more threads until the Christmas one? That's so insane, it feels like no time at all since the Christmas Bugger. Woah.

Well done on almost seeing the low weight again, and well done on the loss Hairspray! It's just occurred to me that don't know why we've all been surprised to be struggling in August when it's the middle of summer - for the December thread we always seem to all agree that it's a question of mitigating the damage and not gaining if possible, rather than expecting stellar losses. Something to bear in mind for next year maybe.

koko I think about that a lot. Even when I compare the way my parents ate when I was growing up to the way I do I think there was just a lot of relative parsimony, probably from my mum in particular growing up in an Air Force family with rationing still front of mind. Our meal-eating wasn't all that different but it's just little things like when they had people over there'd be a tiny bowl of peanuts and a tiny bowl of Pringles passed around (i.e. the nibbles were actually to nibble on, not gorge on like they are when I host Blush Grin ); and I remember we ordered pizzas in for my Dad's birthday a few years ago and he was staggered that we ordered five for everyone to pick at, he thought we'd get one and all have a slice, which quite honestly hadn't even occurred to me to feed 7 adults!

QuimReaper · 30/08/2017 10:20

Also when we were on a cottage holiday recently my mum went on about how she was making bacon and eggs on our last morning, and did so on one box of eggs and one packet of bacon. For five of us. Basically one rasher and a spoonful of eggs each. Wouldn't cross my mind.

HairsprayBabe · 30/08/2017 10:21

You got thinking on a September thread title yet Boop?

Hi Why do join in the chat Grin we don't bite, all on diets you see Grin

HairsprayBabe · 30/08/2017 10:32

That is a really good point Quim

We hosted a BBQ on Monday, for 4 people, we had burgers, sausages wings, kebabs, falafel a huge salad, coleslaw, bread, nachos, salsa, guacamole, hummus, various other dips, cheese, halloumi, carrot and celery sticks, bacon plus fresh fruit, scones and jam and clotted cream for dessert.

That is a crazy amount of food for 4 people. Burgers, salad and guac or salsa with carrot sticks would have been plenty!

Whyareusernamessotricky · 30/08/2017 10:51

Thank you Hairspray! I started off at 10:12 on 4th June and now 9:12 after s lot of hard work! Mainly 1200 calories a day, circuit training avoiding too many carbs. My downfall is social events when I decide to go off plan and then seem to eat three times as much as I used too! I'm really enjoying these threads though!

Softpebbles · 30/08/2017 10:53

We did a BBQ on Sunday and I now have a freezer with sausages and burgers in! I got way to much food in!

Really weird 11 5 today - 5 up from my lowest. I don't believe it will stay I weighed after exercising and quite a bit of water.

Yesterday was my best day for a while. Banana and a nuts and seeds pouch, egg salad, yoghurt and some strawberries. Had a plum mid afternoon.

Tea was cooked pork made into a curry with wild rice. I had a handful of midget gems. So still bad but loads better than I have been. 🙈

Today have done boxercise class and had two slices of gluten free toast with butter and marmite. Going to make a coffee and have a banana.

Tea is chicken fajita. I won't have a wraps 😏
