I am starting a new job in September and I am 2 stone overweight .

Obviously I won't lose all of it in 6 weeks but maybe a stone is possible ?

I was doing so well , I was running 3 times a week and eating like a normal person but this last few weeks have been very busy socially and I have let everything slide ( including the scales in the wrong drection )

My plan is to get out for a run or to the gym 4 times a week.
Knock the booze on the head Mon -thurs
Eat like a slim person would.
Drink more water.

Anyone who has a spare kick is also welcome.

I can kick you, but you'd need to kick me back. I'm with you on needing the running and the eating.

Supposed to be training for the Sydney city to surf on 13th August was training well until I got knocked down by a cold this last couple of weeks. Should be out for a run now, but am hibernating.

If you go for a run today I will too

TheOldestCat · 22/07/2017 07:05

I will join you! I also run 3 times a week usually but when life and work is busy it slides. And a beer or two a night is my downfall.

Am off on pack holiday today (am a Brownie leader) so won't be able to start until Friday but will check in then. Good luck! You can do this.

Howlongtillbedtime · 22/07/2017 07:07

Ok it's a deal we can share a bit arsed kick.

I am going to go to the gym in half hour so you have to as well.

What is the city to surf ? I am guessing some sort of run (genius)

Howlongtillbedtime · 22/07/2017 07:09

Thank you cat

I think a brownie camp is quite enough without having to run as well.

Sorry yes, 14 km from Sydney city centre to Bondi beach, there are some fuck arse hills in there too. So far I've managed 7km on the flat

Before the cold I was losing a couple of cm from my waist but no weight so time to make another push.

Ok I'll get dressed Grin

CalorieTowers · 22/07/2017 07:29

Morning - I'll join in too as I need some serious arse-kicking! Need to lose 3 stone so would love to lose a stone by the end of the summer holidays. Plan is to quit the booze, eat fresh and try and build in some sort of exercise each day no matter how small. DS is away from after breakfast for the weekend so plan to start with a gentle run.

Howlongtillbedtime · 22/07/2017 07:33

Right I am off to get ready and get my fat arse to the gym and get on the dreadmill.

Good luck Grin

I'll join!

We are about to break up for the holidays (am a teacher) and would love to spend these 6 weeks making better habits and shedding some weight.

I'd like to lose about 3 stone, slowly and steadily.

Will up exercise, reduce portions and stop eating chocolate in front of love island the telly every night.

ShintyFartMuscle · 22/07/2017 07:44

Thanks for starting this howlong I am just about to start the run, I'll take a pretty picture as the sun is starting to go down here

waves at cat, calorie and colon

I think I'm about 2 stone to go but have gotten used to working in kgs

ShintyFartMuscle · 22/07/2017 07:45

Oops colonel Freudian slipBlush

Poppiesway1 · 22/07/2017 08:00

theoldestcat I'm a beaver leader. It was my last meeting last week. We had a few enrollements so had to don full uniform (it's been to hot to wear it all) but my shirt was too tight, I didn't dare bend over for fear of. buttons popping!
When I got home I texted me fellow leader (who wasn't able to make last meeting so I had no one to moan to Sad - he's on weight watchers) I told him that's it, I have six weeks to fit into it again... and I really need to loose a couple of stone before remembrance parade!
It's my birthday today so will be starting tomorrow after today's celebrations!

Howlongtillbedtime · 22/07/2017 08:27

Well that proves that letting things slide for a few weeks is a very stupid idea.

I managed 20 mins and left Blush

Operation get my arse into gear starts today!

Nice to see more have arrived and I hope you all have a better run than me .

Happy Birthday poppies

I did it! I wouldn't have got out of my cave if it wasn't for this thread, as cat said you can do it

ShintyFartMuscle · 22/07/2017 08:32

Oh howlong 20 minutes is still more than nothing, and still plenty before 8am.

ShintyFartMuscle · 22/07/2017 08:32

9am!

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 22/07/2017 08:34

I'll join too please. Another teacher. I'm just on the cusp of healthy bmi but really need to lose a stone or so to look and feel better. I used to run regularly but have lost the love Confused. I am doing power Pilates at the moment plus want to do 20 mins of strength training daily and a power walk early each day. No booze unless I'm out until 9th Aug when we go away. Eating sensibly, mostly low carb high protein stuff.

GooodMythicalMorning · 22/07/2017 08:35

I'll join you too. Dsis hen party in Oct so need to be at my best and need to lose about a stone I reckon.

Howlongtillbedtime · 22/07/2017 08:37

I am going to go for a walk as well later.

I don't feel down about it just a bit annoyed I have let things go.

Well done you for getting out , especially in the evening . The temptation to stay in pyjamas at that time of day is strong .

Happy birthday poppies

Off to the shower and get myself organised for the day.

Will meal plan for the week as well to help keep me on track.

isthistoonosy · 22/07/2017 08:53

Can I join too? I've lost about 1.5 stone but have kind of stopped for the past month. I'm start my first teaching placement in six weeks at the same school I am already a TA at.

isthistoonosy · 22/07/2017 08:54

Should have said, I'm three stone overweight, would like to lose another stone before my placement.

CalorieTowers · 22/07/2017 08:56

Am about to tackle the laundry mountain now DS has left - that might burn a few calories! Then a run of sorts!

Just to put it out there and remind myself just what I need to achieve - I'm 11 stone and only 5ft 1 Blush I weighed myself this morning and whilst I'm not going to constantly scale watch it will be good to watch that go down.

Well done to everyone on this thread so far! I think starting on a Saturday is good as it means we have two full days before the end of the week to get us kickstarted. I'm a terrible one for always saying the diet starts Monday!

PurpleDaisies · 22/07/2017 08:59

Another teacher here. I've put on a bit through being too busy at the end of term and want to use the break to lose it again and get back to being fit. I've got a house full of chocolate from pupils though...

Howlongtillbedtime · 22/07/2017 09:16

I have just weighed myself and it is more like 2 1/2 stone that needs to go.

I am 13:5 which is not good. I am happy at 11stone which is a comfy size 14 . My days of being 9 stone something are long gone so I am being realistic.

Good luck everyone.

towers I am off to tackle the ironing pile too. Will get Netflix on to reduce the pain.

OP posts:
TractorTedTed · 22/07/2017 10:26

Can I join you all please?

Another one on the cusp of a healthy bmi but with a good stone to lose to actually feel healthy and more like 'me'. The old, pre-dc me who didn't use biscuits to combat tiredness because I actually got enough sleep

Really need to stop making excuses and just get on with it!

I have also signed up for a half-marathon in Sept and need to start actually running rather than just thinking about it!

The 6 weeks summer holidays seems a great target.

Elland · 22/07/2017 10:37

Can I join please? I'm going to a wedding 6 weeks today and back to work off Maternity in 7! I'm a 14 but would like to get back to a comfortable 12!
