I am starting a new job in September and I am 2 stone overweight .

Obviously I won't lose all of it in 6 weeks but maybe a stone is possible ?

I was doing so well , I was running 3 times a week and eating like a normal person but this last few weeks have been very busy socially and I have let everything slide ( including the scales in the wrong drection )

My plan is to get out for a run or to the gym 4 times a week.
Knock the booze on the head Mon -thurs
Eat like a slim person would.
Drink more water.

Anyone who has a spare kick is also welcome.

Welcome!

I've done the laundry but am girding my loins for the ironing mountain, it's at serious risk of landslides!

Off for my "run" now - will use Map my Run to try and gee myself on!

Good morning all.

I am going to get out for a run/jog/plod this morning. Sadly I forgot we were at a friends last night for dinner so all ideas of eating healthily went out the window but today is a new day and I am determined to have a loss this week so the exercise is hopefully going to save me.

Anyone need a kick ?

Kick me! I went to sleep yesterday afternoon instead of Pilates and we had McDonald's for tea...

Today's plan is scrambled egg on wholemeal toast followed by quorn chilli with homemade guacamole and sweet potato wedges for lunch, spicy sweetcorn soup for dinner. Plus some sort of exercise.

TractorTedTed · 23/07/2017 09:28

I need a kick too!

Purple your lunch sounds lovely.

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 23/07/2017 10:12

Had a good day yesterday food and exercise wise. Today we may go out for Sunday lunch but will have a good walk first; that will probably be my only real meal.

Going to have a good tidy up and clean the house today as it has got grubby/untidy in the last weeks of term.

isthistoonosy · 23/07/2017 10:19

Just did five min on the treadmill - 10 bloody calories Shock

This is going to be difficult.

Howlongtillbedtime · 23/07/2017 12:18

I am a sweaty red mess and the run was a bit shite and I probably walked half of it but I got out there and did 5.6 km

Kicks all round .........

Everyone sounds very productive today I'm impressed.

I would ignore treadmill calories they know nothing !

Have you all run away ?

If so then well-done on the running I guess. Better than my nonsense today.

Hi can I join please ? I will read through the thread as soon as iv posted and committed Grin

kkkkaty123 · 23/07/2017 21:04

Posted too soon. I wanted to add that I have lost 20 lbs in the last few months. But really not been dedicated. I could have lost a lot more as I'm very over weight. Ok I'm gonna share it. I started off at 18.13 Sad this morning I was 17.6. I want to see the 15's by time the dc go back to school. So want to start seriously no messing about tomorrow. I simply want to eat less and move more. I'm not going to follow a plan. Not saying at all that they don't work just don't really get the chance to attend classes and if I did dd aged 3 would be bored stiff and play me up.
So I'm feeling better having lost the 20 but now it's time to crack on. Wink

kkkkaty123 · 23/07/2017 21:10

Oh god. Think I win the prize for being the biggest Confused oh well onwards and downwards

Peaceandl0ve · 23/07/2017 21:19

Hello all, I am keen to join in, I need all the help I can get too. Started dieting in May and have lost just over 1 stone so far but at 5 ft 3 and starting at nearly 13 stone still got plenty to go!
I would like to loose another stone in six weeks and am hoping you lot will help me along....

CalorieTowers · 23/07/2017 21:19

Hi Katy

I'm still here, limping gamely on! Did okay with yesterday's run, just over 5k but was too sore today to try again. I'm hoping that several hours of serious housework will have burned some calories! No wine yesterday or today which given the weekend was an achievement! Slept really well last night as a result and as I type this I'm in my pj's in bed ready to read. Haven't been too bad on the food front but not great but have drunk about 2l of water each day so far.

All in all not a bad weekend and I'd rather take baby steps to making the changes needed than trying to change everything at once and crashing and burning.

Have a great night everyone and here's to a great week next week!

BlessYourCottonSocks · 23/07/2017 21:22

I'll join too, please. Was doing well on healthy lifestyle and lost a couple of stone last year. Have now put 1 and a half back on. Sad

Another teacher - so would like to go back in Sept a bit healthier and fitter (and thinner).

Fairybella · 23/07/2017 21:23

Can I join. I need to lose five more pounds in five weeks. I cba! Help

kkkkaty123 · 23/07/2017 21:43

Hi calorietower 🤗 and everyone else. How often are you all going to weigh yourselves ? Or should I ask when.

Howlongtillbedtime · 23/07/2017 22:04

Hi Katy in all honesty I will probably weigh most days which is probably not healthy but I am hoping it will keep me motivated.

OP posts:
kkkkaty123 · 23/07/2017 22:14

Hmmmm I'll probably do the same to begin with then maybe every few days. I'm expecting a gain in the morning because iv had the last supper Hmm honestly I'm my own worst enemy. But I find it easier to loose weight in the summer break not sure why. So I'll report in in the morning.

Doilooklikeatourist · 23/07/2017 22:57

Am joining in
Going on holiday on 8th October
Will face the scales in the morning
Don't do running
And work in a cafe and I love homemade bread
No problems there then

PurpleDaisies · 23/07/2017 23:09

I only weigh once a week or I get a bit obsessed. It's been an ok ish day for me. No exercise and my lovely chilli didn't happen due to a total lack of chopped tomatoes. It was replaced by oven chips and quorn chicken nuggets and beans so not the worst, not the best.

I'm away for the next few days which will be tricky. I know a friend will have lots of cake etc so I'm just going to enjoy without guilt then work hard when I'm back. There's a gym at my hotel so af least I can work out.

Ninjakittysmells · 23/07/2017 23:14

Please can I join too?

I've joined a 6 week 20lb transformation programme my gym run every summer. I am terrified! 3 bootcamps a week, 2 independent work outs along side that and a super strict diet plan (healthy but every single nutrient is accounted for so very fixed)

My first session is tomorrow morning and I've got those night before nerves. I'm scared in going to be sick - it's been years since I exercised and I'm about 3 stone over weight now. Gulp!

RubySlippers77 · 23/07/2017 23:54

I'm with you all and need a kick too... I lost most of my baby weight (DCs are nearly 2) last year but put most of it back on Blush I am just so flipping TIRED most of the time and end up reaching for chocolate, biscuits, cake etc. Last night I was shattered and then up at 6am today - fell asleep for an hour in the car whilst DCs were at soft play and felt much better!

I loved going to the gym pre-children but don't get the opportunity any more as OH works nights (and isn't particularly helpful with childcare anyway!). I try to do a 10 minute HIIT workout every day but that's about it, although I do average 13K steps per day too.

Joined WW 3 weeks ago and have lost a pound - rubbish! It didn't help having a tummy bug for a week but I need to stop the excuses now...

Ninja your course sounds very good but scary!!

ShintyFartMuscle · 24/07/2017 00:08

Hello there arse kickers

Well I didn't have a great weekend, hit the wine after the run Blush

Had a brief bush walk on Sunday, but then on to a family party where I ate maltesers and jelly babies non stop.

Had a not great breakfast sausage roll is not a breakfast food but will go off soon for the 7km run

Impressed with everyone else here, I only weigh in once a week, and it is always disappointing, so I also measure my waist and thigh too, so far 7cm from my waist and 3cm from my thigh, which makes me feel better, I had to get new running trews because the others were falling down as I ran Grin

Howlongtillbedtime · 24/07/2017 05:55

Morning all , I have been looking at the 30 day shred which looks slightly evil and might make me puke ? But I need something to kickstart my fitness/weight loss.

Has anyone done it ? Any tips ?

I am off work today and then 3 nights on so it should be an ok week food wise and the bonus of nights is no temptation of wine.

Arse kicks for all who need one .......

OP posts:
titsbumfannythelot · 24/07/2017 06:05

Thanks for the arse kicks. Definitely need one here too. I start a new job soon too and that should be motivation. I'm good for a few days and then usually self sabotage with sugar after a sleepless night with the little one. It's a vicious circle.

What about the 7 minute daily workout challenge?
