I am starting a new job in September and I am 2 stone overweight .

Obviously I won't lose all of it in 6 weeks but maybe a stone is possible ?

I was doing so well , I was running 3 times a week and eating like a normal person but this last few weeks have been very busy socially and I have let everything slide ( including the scales in the wrong drection )

My plan is to get out for a run or to the gym 4 times a week.
Knock the booze on the head Mon -thurs
Eat like a slim person would.
Drink more water.

Anyone who has a spare kick is also welcome.

That sounds completely reasonable to me Grin

Ok the shred later it is then. I am slightly worried it might actually kill me.

Am going to get out for a walk first . Have already downgraded it from run as my post shred legs are bloody ouchy.

What are you detoxing from ninja? When I stopped caffeine (migraines) it took about four or five days for the headache to go. I don't know about sugar because I've never done it. Just hang to the fact it'll be worth it and drink loads of water, plus paracetamol.

PurpleDaisies · 25/07/2017 08:41

My good start yesterday ended in Wagamama with a (delicious) pad Thai so today needs to be better. I'm wandering out for breakfast now and hoping to find some eggs on toast. I'll be in a hotel with a pool and gym later so I'm planning on at least one of those plus some time in a sauna/steam room. Dinner will be a hotel picnic. I'd normally go for crusty bread, cheese, crisps and a mini bottle of wine but thinking that won't really fit with trying to be sensible... suggestions welcome. Smile

Howlongtillbedtime · 25/07/2017 08:52

Sorry not many ideas for a healthy picnic but you're does sound yummy. Are you near lots of takeaways ? Anywhere you can get a jkt pot from ? Or a tandoori chicken with salad isn't too bad . Soup in a local pub but ask for half the amount of bread they normally give you?

Very jealous of the pool/sauna later. Sounds a lot more relaxing than the evil shred Grin

Detox headache worst on day 3 ime, then tails off so gone by day 5. Shred pain lasts longer...Grin

I'm feeling positive but not losing any weight despite eating carefully. So it's time to cut carbs I think. On holiday a fortnight from today and I'd like to be 5lbs down.

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 25/07/2017 09:04

Healthy picnic - my go-to work lunch is a pot of prepared fruit with cubes of feta cheese chopped in. You can buy hard boiled eggs in pots with spinach and mustard to dip. Or sushi trays also available in supermarket.

kkkkaty123 · 25/07/2017 09:58

Good morning. Well .5 off which brings me back to pre last supper weight kicks myself hard today I will be keeping busy no seeing as it's meant to be the best day of the week where I live will be out all afternoon walking somewhere. We are kind off in the sticks so it's good to get out. Will have a good read through posts later as love seeing how your all doing .... so I have 45 days to loose 22 lbs. have a good day everyone.

PurpleDaisies · 25/07/2017 10:02

Oooh, sushi, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for all the good ideas.

Ninjakittysmells · 25/07/2017 13:43

I am really struggling today. My foods been okay, but the idea of doing a work out now just makes me want to cry!

PurpleDaisies · 25/07/2017 18:25

I'm the opposite today ninja, I've walked for two hours and am about to go swim but my food has definitely left a lot to be desired. I had a cream tea for lunch... only one scone and I went easy on the cream but still. Not diet food! I'm sort of on holiday though so I'm not going to feel too bad.

My hotel picnic consists of smoked salmon, olives, a crusty tiger bread roll, rocket, feta and an apple.

kkkkaty123 · 25/07/2017 22:38

Well day two nearly done and dusted. Was more active today. Food spot on. Even said no to a very lovely looking crispy margarita pizza dripping with pesto oil. Even had to throw a third in the bin. Wonder if the scales will be kind tomorrow. Weather meant to be horrid tomorrow but I'm determined to get out. Hope your all ok ??

Comingoutoftheshadows · 25/07/2017 22:51

Day 1 done here. It was a reasonable day - my food was pretty good but I could improve on the exercise side. I weighed myself this evening so I know where I stand.

I'm really looking forward to my trousers feeling more comfortable - the waistband was really digging in today and I had period pains so I felt pretty miserable all day. I'm very proud of myself for avoiding chocolate all day!

Well done to everyone so far Star

kkkkaty123 · 26/07/2017 08:54

Comingout well done you. I find it more challenging when it's totm ( time of the month ).
Ok just doing my morning checking
1.5 off
21.5 off in total
20.5 left of the summer challenge

Have a good day everyone. My plan today is again for food to be spot on. And to get out with dc.

bettybyebye · 26/07/2017 09:07

Can I join please?! I am being a bridesmaid on the 2nd Sept and currently 11lbs over where I would like to be. Had been doing quite well in May and June, then went on holiday for 2 weeks at the beginning of July and put 5lbs on 😬

Really want to look as good as I can in the wedding pics so need to get my arse into gear! I will be counting ww smart points, but can't get to a meeting for another couple of weeks so need to keep on the straight and narrow. Did a 30 minute run on Monday, 30mins Pilates yesterday and planning another run today if the rain stops!

Weighing every day at the mo but may stop as I'' getting annoyed that I have only lost 1/2 lb since Monday am!

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 26/07/2017 09:29

Miserable day here today so may not make it out for a walk. Still no real loss but keeping on and I am wearing size 10 jeans today (snug, but still...).

Doing the low carb thing properly now. Hoping for a loss soon!!

kkkkaty123 · 26/07/2017 10:14

Welcome Betty Smile hi Keira yes when you haven't got as much to loose a daily weigh in isn't really going to be helpful to your motivation I think.

kkkkaty123 · 26/07/2017 10:15

Ww watchers healthy guidelines will be from .5 to 2 lbs a week.

Ninjakittysmells · 26/07/2017 10:26

Morning everyone! purpledaisies you are on holiday - your food isn't meant to be perfect! I ate a quarter of a mini meatball off ds plate. I would have done that without even remembering last time, so I'm proud that I am a) noticing b) regretting it!

I've just done bootcamp but need to focus on my food today - I'm at the theatre later so there will be temptations!

user4627462187468 · 26/07/2017 18:03

Hi is it to late for me to join?
I have 1 stone 9lb to lose. First day today I have started. I have never really done exercise Blush but am dieting now. I am aiming for 2lb a week and am having 1200 calories a day, with one cheat meal a week- such as a takeaway and wine. I have joined a gym but it is new and doesn't open until the end of Aug so will start then but hoping to have lost a little bit of weight before then. I have never done running and am scared to be honest.

kkkkaty123 · 26/07/2017 19:47

Hi user. I'm the last person to advise on running. But iv read there are some brilliant apps to train you. Walking is also extremely beneficial to weight loss. And maintaining

kkkkaty123 · 26/07/2017 19:48

Whilst I'm on the thread day three has gone well. Food spot on. Kept busy. Will checkin in the morning. How's everyone else doing ?

PurpleDaisies · 26/07/2017 19:56

My food hasn't been awful today and I've eaten some really nice things. I had a main meal at lunch so did hotel picnic again with a really nice hot smoked salmon and potato salad plus chimichurri olives and a couple of babybel cheeses. I've treated myself to a G and T in a can for a bargain 75cals.

I've been swimming today which was nice, although the hotel pool was pretty mini so it was tricky to do proper laps. Sitting in the steam room afterwards was great.

I'm hopeful that when I get home on Saturday that I'll be the same ish as when I left. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

kkkkaty123 · 26/07/2017 20:07

Purpledaisies. Your day sounds lovely. It rained here so we went to the library then baked cakes ( which I didn't touch )

kkkkaty123 · 27/07/2017 07:15

Put half on. Absolutely no fault of my own. Period turned up yesterday morning. Grrrr. Still focused

bettybyebye · 27/07/2017 09:14

Good day for me yesterday. Stayed within points, over 10,000 steps and went for a swim last night. Need to repeat today and tomorrow. Conscious that we are out for dinner with friends on Saturday night - weekends are my downfall so I really need to work on that.

Have a good day all, just finishing my breakfast of whole meal toast with marmite, - banana and a babybel
