Bloody hell niki! Calm down! Quim was just pointing out that Chard can't go to the gym because it looked like that's what you were suggesting by the timing / position of your post. It wasn't in the slightest bit snippy.

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 06/07/2017 11:58

And don't flounce. That's just not necessary Sad

Just worked out the cals for the lemonade diet

onc glass of the "lemonade" would come to about 125 calories, and they recommend between 6-12 glasses a day so that would be between 726 and 1452 calories a day... so not even that low really

and that you take a multi-vitamin...

Don't go Niki Sad I think there was a misunderstanding X-posts etc Flowers

BitOutOfPractice · 06/07/2017 12:05

125? Blimey that's a lot for pond sludge a drink. Have you actually done it Hairspray?

HairsprayBabe · 06/07/2017 12:12

Yeah back when I was 18, I weight 9st dead and thought I was "podgy" Hmm lost about 1/2st in the week before my 6th form prom, but really didn't need to! only did a week on it though, and my mum though the whole thing ridiculous she was correct

Its the 2 tbsp of maple syrup, they are over 50 cals a piece!

BitOutOfPractice · 06/07/2017 12:25

I remember going over 9st for the first time and thinking I was fat! Oh the folly of youth!

I'm sort of in awe of everyone who can do weird liquid diets.

Which is probably why I'm not losing any weight Hmm

TVHubbyClaire · 06/07/2017 13:42

quim you are right, I have to attack the desserts...i just find it so hard not to have a nice sweet taste after dinner Sad. With 4 weeks until hols and a few social events coming up I need to feel some pain somewhere or there will be no loss....

BitOutOfPractice · 06/07/2017 13:48

I totally get that needing something sweet after dinner thing TV I really do. But it is totally a habit!

QuimReaper · 06/07/2017 13:51

Niki it was just the context and wording of your post that sounded like you were including Chard in it. I wasn't trying to pick a fight, sorry if I've upset you.

So AGAIN I've been to two separate Boots branches only to find the BMI machines out of service, so still have no idea what I weigh! It is definitely a conspiracy!

TV when you were on the Nespresso and dark chocolate, did that start to hit the spot?

I am Shock at the calories in that lemonade thing. I guess it's based on that old bunkum that if you eat all sugar and no fat your body will just blast through it super-quick and then start on your fat reserves? I bet you feel awful on it, your blood sugar would be all over the shop.

QuimReaper · 06/07/2017 13:52

Agree with BOOP - it is just your palate becoming "used to" finishing up on a sweet, once you break it you really won't miss it. Does 'er indoors have puds too? It's difficult to resist if everyone else is having some, would she be willing to go cold turkey with you for a week?

HairsprayBabe · 06/07/2017 14:04

TV have you tried the Hartleys 10 cal jellies? good for a sweet hit, and the cranberry and raspberry one only has 2 calories, pretty decent size too 175g.

I just had one with my lunch!

Squiffy01 · 06/07/2017 15:43

tv I second the jelly or I also have a stash of mini twisters in the freezer which hits the spot.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/07/2017 15:59

Just had my first cherries of the summer. They were so delicious

Chardonnay73 · 06/07/2017 17:10

Went for lunch with a friend. Picked a piri piri chicken breast and green salad from the 'lighter bites' section of the menu 😱
I always used to skip that part and f the menu Blush
In the old days I'd have had a big burger with bacon and cheese, chips and mayo 🙈
It's like I don't know myself....
Been so good all week if I don't hit a new low tomorrow I shall cry. And drink a bottle of wine probably...

Chardonnay73 · 06/07/2017 17:12

And... I did actually google the Master Cleanse.... I haven't entirely ruled it out... desperate times and all that.
And if I do it, I will make Boop do it with me Wink
She doesn't actually know that yet...

BitOutOfPractice · 06/07/2017 17:12

Whoever is holding the real Chard hostage, please release her Wink

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 06/07/2017 17:13

And as for Master Cleanse...not on your nelly!

OP posts:
Chardonnay73 · 06/07/2017 17:46

Tsk, call yourself a friend? Wink
I may do it for 3 days pre holiday. Or the heart foundation diet dh has done before, eggs, grapefruit steak and salad - he lost 10lb in 7 days on January and kept it off, that may be a better way to do it.

TVHubbyClaire · 06/07/2017 17:54

I will look at jellies, they sound as if might work. (sounds like something to take at a festival...).

I do sometimes have the M&S raspberry jelly and that almost works although lets be honest it ain't ice cream, strawberries and meringue with a touch of salted caramel sauce......Sad

The coffee and chocolate thing did almost work but old habits die hard I guess.

DW doesnt have desserts so its just me that needs to break it. We do both eat reasonably healthy dinners I just have a bigger portion and like to finish with sweet...Blush

Stellar67 · 06/07/2017 20:10

Jelly, eggs, lemons and liquids. Sounds erm, summery?

I'm on a carb on carb diet now I've arrived at the in laws. They aren't even here and there's dough and bread everywhere Grin

Howlongtillbedtime · 06/07/2017 20:41

I made it to the gym !

It was horrible, I lasted 30 mins on the treadmill and had to keep walking every 5 mins for a minute Blush

But I went so that's a start I guess.

I am mostly on the trying not to eat too much rubbish diet . I definitely couldn't do a juice thing or a near starvation thing . I need to be in this for the long haul (a bloody long haul of I don't put these crisps down )

lastqueenofscotland · 06/07/2017 20:54

Howlong I find treadmills unbearable so that's good going in my book!

Managed my first good day in ages and ages and ages today. Smile

Howlongtillbedtime · 06/07/2017 21:15

Thanks last I love the heat but not for running .

And when I say running I mean jogging /plodding /trying not to die .
