hairspray I struggle with relaxing and nibbling too! I do a lot of mindless eating when I'm out with friends/at people's houses that I really need to work on too.
I just can't seem to stop or say no and I don't know how to change that.

lastqueenofscotland · 02/07/2017 16:18

Massive NSV this weekend, two races running wise and 23:25 for 5k yesterday and 49:04 for 10k. Nearly getting back to my old fast times from a few years ago! Chuffed.
My last day of foody engagements is tomorrow so stepping on the scale on Tuesday and facing the music and we'll go from there Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 02/07/2017 18:03

Amazing work there Lasty!

10.9 so stayed the same from yesterday, not at work today, need to get back in the zone!

BitOutOfPractice · 03/07/2017 07:06

I have survived on a diet of booze and fried food all weekend. Daren't weigh myself today

OP posts:
Softpebbles · 03/07/2017 07:20

Wow lasty that's excellent. And I was pleased with my 10.10sec miles the other day 🙈

Give it a few days BOOP - you may surprise yourself. More importantly did you have fun and enjoy it!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 03/07/2017 12:34

Last that's brilliant! Well done

Climbing firmly back onto the wagon today. Hoping to stick to about 1500 calories and get all my steps in.

lastqueenofscotland · 03/07/2017 13:13

Soft I was nearly sick after that 10k Confused

I have old uni PBs which I will never run again (44minute 10k?!?) and what I now call fat PBs Grin

NikiBabe · 03/07/2017 14:45

Wow lasty that's amazing.

I have cycled to town, swam for half an hour and doing circuit training later.

BitOutOfPractice · 03/07/2017 17:24

I had a wonderful time Pebbles. Mr BOOP won a posh convertible car for the weekend so we made the most of it and drove along the coast in the sunshine and ate fish and chips on the beach. It was wonderful!

KOKO I've got a Scottish complexion Confused I don't think I've ever been tanned
Go for one with a green base so you don't look to tangoed, or treat yourself to a salon

EarlyWelcome · 04/07/2017 07:49

Hello everyone - please may I join? I'd like to lose 5 stone in total but 7lb in July would be amazing. I'm currently 17st 2 Blush

I'm off to the gym at lunchtime and am determined that I will feel better by the time I go away on holiday in October.

I could do with some support though! Good luck everyone and I hope you don't mind me posting on your thread.

lastqueenofscotland · 04/07/2017 07:52

After a month of not really having my head in the game and the last 10 days of basically eating like a right fat sort it was time to face the music and it wasn't prettty....

147.8 lbs Shock I'm really really cross with myself but at least super determined now to get back on the wagon and sort myself out.

HairsprayBabe · 04/07/2017 08:01

Morning all, Hello there Early you are more than welcome to join us! - See what I did there Grin

10.7 good day yesterday, have discovered Hartleys 10 Calorie jellies, one after lunch really makes me feel fuller for the whole afternoon, must be the gelatine. I am a rubbish vegetarian, it is probably just easier to say I don't eat meat.

Did a load of batch cooking yesterday to see us through the week, will be eating at PILs on one day, probably Friday, out for a curry with my family on Saturday, and I have an interview Thursday.... busy busy!

NikiBabe · 04/07/2017 11:00

Hello Early and welcome.

QuimReaper · 04/07/2017 11:56

Early it's not our thread, it's everyone's - the more the merrier!

Crikey, I don't know what's happening with me lately. I'm still managing two fast days a week but random social commitments mean the other 5 keep being booze and food-tastic. It's been ages since I had a Proper Golden Week, and my local Boots stores all seem to be conspiring to have their BMI machines out of service when I want to use them, so I haven't the faintest idea how much I weigh Confused

This week and next week is going to be 2 fast days, the week after that I'll have 3 golden days, but the week after that - OH THE WEEK AFTER THAT I will be so golden you won't be able to look directly at me, and I will will will end the month on a new low!

EarlyWelcome · 04/07/2017 11:57

Thanks for the welcome(!) everyone.

I'm just about to go into the gym for the first time in ages so I'm feeIing a bit intimidated.

BitOutOfPractice · 04/07/2017 12:09

Early you'll be grand. Like riding a bike. Hope you enjoy it.

Hello quimmy I'd been missing you! I'm in exactly the same boat. I even ate a random bag of peanut butter M&Ms last night. Most unlike me as I really don't eat much sweet stuff, especially in the evenings. I had been having a golden day as well - so annoyed with myself

SoapyChoc · 04/07/2017 12:13

Hi everyone,

I'd like to join too. 2st weight loss so far very slowly. 4st more to go. Need to get another 6.7lb off by 27th for fertility clinic appointment to start Clomid. Currently calorie counting and using my Fitbit app. Good luck at the gym Early it's hard when you haven't been for a while.

QuimReaper · 04/07/2017 12:19

Hey Soapy, wow, 2st already is mega! Well done!

I had been hiding a bit BOOP Wink Last week was always going to be a write-off, I'm not sure why I even bothered joining the FitBit Challenge: we had Dad's memorial on Thurs which meant I spent all of Weds making food for it, and then had a friend over to distract me in the evening, so steps were negligible on both days, which put me out of the running somewhat. Then on Fri I felt pretty floppy and down, although I did determinedly manage to hit my step goal. I'm back on it this week!

BitOutOfPractice · 04/07/2017 12:26

Oh I hope the memorial went well Thanks I think you're allowed a week off. I've been appalling at the challenges (currently bottom of the leader board) although I managed to pull a third place unexpectedly out of the bag after a lot of drunken festival dancing on Friday! Grin

Come on Slenderistas, let's not lose our way now

Hello Soapy. Nice to meet you. Tremendous weight loss so far. Good luck with getting to your target on 27th (and with the appointment too obv).

Excellent work with your first 2st soapy welcome to the best thread on mumsnet, we are working on getting a trademark....

I am having an unexpected fast day, have been mega busy at work and only managed a few cups of tea and a pot of jelly!

We are having "Lentil Loaf" with cabbage, carrots and leeks for tea! What is on the menu for you lovely lot?

BitOutOfPractice · 04/07/2017 15:12

We are having pork steaks in BBQ sauce (homemade Smile). Kids having potato wedges, I'm having squaffles.

OP posts:
Squiffy01 · 04/07/2017 15:59

hairspray what exactly is involved in a lentil loaf?
Just chicken breast and veg for me tonight, trying to undo some of the damage from the weekend.

Welcome soapy! How did the gym go early? I haven't been since Easter Blush

quim I hope the memorial went well Flowers

I have been nibbling on the chocolate buttons in the cupboard at work. Trying to stop!

I can actually keep up with the thread when it isn't moving so fast Grin
