lots well done, hope you had a good week. You have come such a long way! Must feel amazing!
I managed to put weight on (boo again!!!), don't think it's food I eat, really. This happens to me every single time I am trying to lose weight, sadly. The Clever Gut diet explains it, actually. Body fights weight loss and some hunger hormones (? I think) increase around 6mnths into a diet and some people even put some weight on, temporarily. Advice is to KOKO and if the weight is kept of for a longer time (like 1 year) than it's most likely it will stay on....
So my weight today is 108.5
Staring weight 138.5kg (13 March)
Week 1 -2.5kg
Week 2 -1.2kg
Week 3 - 3.7kg
Week 4 +0.1kg
Week 5 -1.8kg
Week 6 -2.5kg
Week 7 -2.8kg
Week 8 -0.3kg
Week 9 -0.5kg
Week 10 -2.2kg
Week 11 - 3.5kg
Week 12 -0.4kg
Week 13 and 14 -2.3kg
Week 15 -1.3kg
Week 16 -1.4kg
Week 17 -1.1kg
Week 18 -0.7kg
Week 19 -1kg
Week 20 -1.7kg
Week 21 +0.2kg
Week 22 +0.6kg
So in 5mnths I lost exactly 30kgs (66lbs or 4.7 stone) very happy with that Grin BMI went down from around 43 to around 33
Will just KOKO and hope the scales will start moving the right direction again soon
Have a great week, everyone

Morning everyone- sorry was Missing in Action this week, can't believe it is Thursday already Shock.

SWLondon You should be so proud of how far you have come, it is an amazing achievement and I totally understand how hard it is, to keep the focus every day, and have a steady loss like you have you are a Star. Think what you have done this year, at Christmas did you think you would be nearly 5 stone lighter! Keep KOKOing, and you will start seeing results again.

notapizzaeater Great big welcome to you, we have all been in your shoes and you will smash it! Have you got a plan, or a programme you are going to follow?

Weighed in on Friday rather than Monday this week and lost 2.5lbs, so total loss 106lbs current weight 14st 4lbs, BMI 32.2. (was AF last week, which messes everything up!)

Didn't do so well over the weekend was a bit carb heavy (social do's)- so I have done an extra gym session this week, and a fast day to try to pull it back. This week is not looking hopeful Grin

I do well for a couple of weeks then we will have a party or meal out and I end up drinking and eating too much, this is worrying me for when I get to maintenance weight, one glass of wine and diet is out of the window!

Afternoon,

I'm doing Isagenix, which is 2 shakes a day, snacks and a 500/600 calorie low carb meal at night. And 2 supported fast days a week. Have signed up to a boot camp personal training class which nearly bloody killed me on Monday and back off there tonight - eek !

Literally woke up this morning with fresh determination but no real plan other than cutting out junk.

Morning everyone, Hope you have all had a good weekend.

0.5lbs off for me this week after another not so great weekend, can hold it together all week then if we do anything social..... everything out of the window Blush Chocolate peanut fudge brownies are not a dieters friend it appears!

Aims for ta kick ass week - 3 gym cardio gym sessions & a night walking. I have planned all meals for this week as well, in the next 2 weeks would like to be sneaking into the 13 stone bracket. Determined to have lost 10 stone by Christmas!

notapizzaeater Hope your first week goes really well for you- fingers crossed for a good loss this week! I had a quick look at the Isagenix, it looks good & well structured. Boot Camp sounds fab - no pain no gain Smile

Kaleidoscope101 A big welcome to you! I am doing Low Cal & counting everything and as I have lost started to up the exercise. The Hairy Dieters books have been good for me too & and they have loads of good low cal recipes. What has helped me is planning meals and setting lots of small achievable targets along the way. Baby steps and then they mount up, don't focus on the big target. Good luck to you!

Swlondon hope you have had a good weekend.

Kaleidoscop welcome, hope this thread will be lucky for you. I do low carb high fat diet which seem to work ok for me so far. How is cutting out junk going?
Lots hope your week went well Smile. It must be so hard to lose any weight after all that weight you lost. And when out socialising it is sometimes very difficult to eat right food. I am 100% sure you will lose your 10st by Christmas.
AFM I am going through a bit of a difficult time. Exhausted all the time. Weight going up and down the same kg (for quite a while now). Am hungry quite a lot and have no energy for my walks... have migraines 3-4x a week. My hair is falling out like crazy. My periods changed about 3mnths ago + have random bleeds in between. Saw the GP, had tests done + scan and nothing serious found but got a referral to gynecologist (for mid October) .
Went to see my acupuncturist (after 3 years!) and he wasn't pleased but the 2 sessions I had seemed to improve things a bit. Will see him tomorrow again, can't wait to see what he's going to say.
I still keep to my low carb high fat but there was quite a lot of dairy consumed which clearly doesn't agree with my weight loss so will cut it out again soon. Off to Spain with work on Friday for a week so will start with no dairy when I am back.

Morning all, hope everyone had a nice BH weekend.

Welcome mrsdarcy78 I'm late 30's & started off at the end of last year at nearly 22 stone, so in that boat with you Smile. More than happy to offer support and positive vibes. My mantra is Keep on Keeping on, keep chipping away a bit at a time. Good Luck.

swlondon Flowers Sorry to hear you are having a difficult time, makes sticking to plan so so hard. You have done so well to get a loss this week with everything going on, and good to hear the acupuncturist has helped. Fingers crossed that they can get to the bottom of it for you. Was going to say have a nice relaxing time in Spain, then I saw it was work related- but hope you get some down time and sunshine. Weight loss is never a straight path, it is a long long meandering winding path with potholes, diversions and jams! Smile

Not so great from me this week, 1lb off. So total loss 107.5lbs, current Weight 14st 2.5lbs, BMI 32.0.

Really reached a plateau now, but clutching at the hope that as I have upped exercise a lot that I am building muscle. I have been fighting the disordered eating demons this weekend, so nearly a binge. The food obsession is so difficult to overcome, it takes over my every waking thought and makes me so twitchy. I thought i'd cracked it after 8 months. Got a meal plan for this week, and going to the gym - I can jog for 12 mins non stop now.

Morning folks, welcome to mrsdarcey78 and Kaleidoscope101 Sorry I’ve been missing in action for the last couple of weeks, work has been crazy busy, but I have been KOKO.
I’m in my fifties, and it’s definitely true to say it gets harder to lose the excess weight the older you get. I’m doing Slimming World ish plan i.e low carb and piling my plate with fruit and vegetables, combined with overnight fasting , so nothing after 8pm and nothing before 10 / 11 am, it seems to work for me as late night snacking was my downfall in the past. I’m still managing to have a weekly meal out or fish and chips etc.
I have a mobility problem which makes exercise difficult so just dieting but not exercising.

Sorry Lotsawobblybits and swlondonnanny that you are both having difficulties at the moment, it can be so hard at times when there seems to be no end in sight and it feels like you have been on a diet forever. I know that in the past I have gone so far and then just given up which is why this thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose is so valuable. I sometimes dig out an old pair of trousers that I used to wear and realise that I have come a long way even if it sometimes doesn’t feel like it. I can’t look back on photo’s because I was so self-conscious that I never let anyone take my photo. I kind of feel that this is my last chance to lose the weight so I have to succeed.

My starting weight 16 stone 0lbs

Week 1 - 3lb loss - 15 stone 11lbs
Week 2 - 5lb loss - 15 stone 6lbs
Week 3 - 4lb loss - 15 stone 2lbs
Week 4 - 2lb loss - 15 stone 0lb
Week 5 - 4lb loss - 14 stone 10lbs
Week 6 - 2lb loss - 14 stone 8lbs
Week 7 - 3lb loss - 14 stone 5lbs
Week 8 - 3lb loss - 14 stone 2lbs
Week 9 - 2lb loss - 14 stone 0lbs
Week 10 - 3lb loss - 13 stone 11lbs
Week 11/12/13 - 1lb loss - 13 stone 10lbs (on holiday)
Week 14 - 3lb loss - 13 stone 7lbs
Week 15 - 2lb loss - 13 stone 5lbs
Week 16 - 2lb loss - 13 stone 3lbs

My new targets

  1. Lose 50 percent of the total weight I need to lose. - 42lbs
  2. Lose 20% of my starting weight – 45lbs
  3. Get my BMI under 30 – 49lbs

Well done itmustbe fantastic going & a really good steady loss, you must be chuffed!

I was a bit of a moaning Myrtle earlier in the week Blush, felt a bit disheartened & all I could think about was food.

Some of it was to do with having a few sugary/carby things, it seems to reawaken the food devil in me and second was a strange AF, which sneaked up on me. Had a better couple of days and feeling much more positive, looked back on my measurements and I have lost 1 inch from my waist and can now run for 15 mins. That is positive even though it is not a loss on the scales.

(Sorry for my ramblings and verbal dumping) My lesson learnt this week is not all success is reflected in the scales, this is a change of lifestyle not just diet and it's good to look back and see where you have traveled from.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Flowers

You have had a good loss- well done! it won't be long before you are in the 30's BMI Smile . I have had some lovely comments- people asking how I have done it and a few excuses for a nice dress. I've actually started to enjoy the gym and miss not going.

itmustbe hope you have had a good week too.

Well odd week and I am not sure if my scales are not broken, weighed in yesterday and I had lost 5.5lbs, so calibrated and weighed again this morning and it says the same. I think i need to get a known weight to double check.

So preliminary stats Loss: 5.5lbs, Total loss: 114.5lbs, BMI 30.8

Also finally got into the 13 Stone Category Grin & fit in a shirt and jeans in a size 14 (Next so sizing always generous) can't remember ever fitting in 14's - whoop whoop!

Morning all- Sorry for absence have been away on a last minute holiday.

Hope you have all had a good week.

SWLondon Yay -1.1kg ace work, you have had a really good consistent loss the last few weeks. I've gone from a Size 24 to a 14/16, which I would never have believed 12 months ago. You must look so different as well now too- you have come such a long way, well done!

Welcome Bored hope you have a good first week, that first weigh in is so daunting but once it's done you can smash it!

Well holiday caught up with me so I have gained +3lbs. To be honest I thought it would be worse & I did try to exercise and not over eat but got led astray. Thursday's steak Pie with a side of sausage roll deffo didn't help Blush

I hate having to lose the same weight again, so cross with myself! Current stats: Gain: +3lbs, Weight 13st 12.5lbs.

On a positive I went to Surf School, which I would never ever have done before, being in public in a wet suit is certainly a first. Really enjoyed it, though I hurt in places I didn't know it was possible Grin.

So even though gutted about a gain, I am celebrating just how far I have come & focusing on positives. Confident I can shift that, and if you can't relax on holiday when can you?

swlondonnanny · 25/09/2017 11:51

Exactly Lots Holidays are for relaxing and enjoying Smile
And well done for Surf School (I would never attempt anything so adventurous) . You must look so different, going from 24 to 14/16.
I started at 22 (very tight winter coat), currently mostly is 16 (some 18 trousers which I bought ages ago so started to wear them recently). Can't imagine wearing 14 though. Noticed over the weekend that my face changed shape a bit. Managed to buy waterproof jacket and finally sorted out my shoes and managed to get MBT boots. They will be instead of gym (which I never started btw) as they should tone up my legs, bum and stomach as well (I walk a lot so they will be used a lot)....
