swlondonnanny · 18/06/2017 12:38

10stone so sorry to hear about your dad, hope he is getting better. You did extremely well to STS, hospital food is not low carb friendly at all...

swlondonnanny · 18/06/2017 12:44

Fairfax well done to get into the 17s, that's nearly 3stone loss!!! Well done for getting back to it after a little blip....
Desert that's a great loss
Lots how are you doing?

swlondonnanny · 18/06/2017 12:54

I've been away for nearly 2 weeks, first visiting my sister, than to Greece so missed my weigh in last week and did one today (one day early instead of tomorrow)
I kind off carried on with my walking + diet even though I think I ate more than I would at home (and definitely had more fruit...)
Managed to get myself to gym today after a long long long time and it was fine (didn't push myself too much though)
My weight this morning 114.9kg
Staring weight 138.5kg (13 March)
Week 1 -2.5kg
Week 2 -1.2kg
Week 3 - 3.7kg
Week 4 +0.1kg
Week 5 -1.8kg
Week 6 -2.5kg
Week 7 -2.8kg
Week 8 -0.3kg
Week 9 -0.5kg
Week 10 -2.2kg
Week 11 - 3.5kg
Week 12 -0.4kg
Week 13 and 14 -2.3kg
Another 2kg to lose for my BMI to be under 35. Hopefully soon...

Lotsawobblybits · 19/06/2017 13:17

Swlondonnanny Congratulations on the loss- hope you had a good holiday, sounds like all of the walking paid off.

Fairfax That is a fantastic loss, well done.

DesertIslandPenguin Wow, 1 stone 7 off is brilliant well done.

Had a strange old week, been monster busy- Away for a long weekend, weighed in on Friday and had lost 3 lbs, but this morning had stayed the same- which is not too bad considering!

We walked miles, got 33,000 steps in on Saturday (most ever in one day!) which hopefully counters the Burgers and Chips, Ice Cream & Pain Au Chocolate Blush.

I must say dealing with the heat has been much easier than this time last year, and I absolutely would not have been able to walk that distance before either. Don't get me wrong I'm still a sticky, knackered mess- but not half as bad as before Grin.

swlondonnanny · 19/06/2017 14:06

Lots you did how many steps on Sat!?!?! Wow! The most I did in one day was 16000.
Have to say I am dealing better with the weather as well, actually enjoyed sitting in the sun by the pool last week.... that is unheard of for me, actually. Have bought a massive sun hat couple of weeks ago and that is helping to keep headaches away from me as well....

Itmustbemyage · 21/06/2017 19:13

It's a bit quiet on here, everyone out enjoying the sunshine? not jealous up here in cold rainy Scotland at all

Lotsawobblybits · 26/06/2017 12:11

Morning all,

Sorry been a bit quiet as had exiting week welcoming a gorgeous baby nephew. It is an amazing milestone as he was one of my motivations to lose weight.

I had a bet with my fabulous sister that I would lose the weight that she put on during pregnancy- well I did it! Grin. Total loss since the bet at the end of December 2016 is 85.5lbs. (she has gained less than I lost). I've gone from a size 24 to 18. BMI from 49.3 to 34.9 (Yay - no longer morbidly obese!)

I have weighed in with a further 4lb loss this week, after being super good all week and exercising (AF as well). Still a further 4 Stone to be a healthy weight- but 6 months ago I had 10 stones to go!

Sorry for my self-indulgent ramble but feeling in a good place today! Today makes every time I felt like giving up worth it- and thank you to all of you on this thread who have been so supportive, coming here and logging it has made me really accountable!

Lotsawobblybits · 26/06/2017 12:14

swlondonnanny well done on your loss, you are really motoring now! I thought my legs were going to drop off with all the walking don't think ill match it in a hurry. Hope you are having a good week.

Itmustbemyage Fabulous loss- a good 2lbs. KOKO is the key I think.

Hope everyone is having a good week- one day at a time will get us there!

swlondonnanny · 26/06/2017 13:06

Lots you are a Star
Well done on all that weight loss, you've done amazingly well and what a bet Grin
Congratulations on your baby nephew as well
Inspired by you I did around 24000 steps on Saturday... was quite tired sat night (hehehe, as expected)
I am nearly the same BMI as you (35.06) can't wait till I am under 35.... started at 43 mid march
What are people around you saying - it must be very noticeable, your weight loss...

Lotsawobblybits · 26/06/2017 16:47

Thankyou swlondonnanny have had some lovely comments & a few "you look well's", (even the security guard at work Blush) which makes me think that I must of looked awful before!

I have been saying "thank you that's very kind" - It can be quite awkward, people have some funny ideas about weight loss. One friend even said "oh- are you going to be all boring now?".

Well done on the 24000 steps- it's hard work, I ended up putting my feet under the cold tap at the hotel last week! I have my eye on BMI 30 ... so I am just overweight so 2st 2lbs to go! Life is easier lighter.

People must have noticed your loss too- you have done great.

swlondonnanny · 27/06/2017 14:37

Lots looks like my whoosh fairy has been, 112.4 kg for me this morning. BMI of 34.69 Grin Grin Grin
Next goal to get my BMI under 30. That's 15.4kg to go (just over 2stone I think) I don't mind being 'overweight'. Don't even remember how old I was when I was 'normal' weight (BMI

Lotsawobblybits · 27/06/2017 14:56

YAY swlondonnanny Grin Fabulous- Bet you are chuffed to bits, well done!

I genuinely don't think I have ever been a normal weight TBH Blush, I was the chubby kid, the smallest I have ever been is a size 14, which would have been 18yrs ago (very briefly).

My worry is the skin on my tummy & bingo wings- which is already not looking good- I have bought some Soap & Glory firming cream, but not sure it's actually doing any good. Do you have any recommendations?
DSis has said to try Bio-Oil.......so that may be the next port of call!

Itmustbemyage · 27/06/2017 16:30

swlondonnanny and Lotsawobblybits amazing progress Flowers to you both.
I'm too embarrassed to tell people I am losing weight having lost some in the past and then put it back on again. So am still wearing the same clothes, maybe when I pluck up the courage I'll start wearing more fitted clothes and have a ta-dah moment.

My starting weight 16 stone 0lbs

Week 1 - 3lb loss - 15 stone 11lbs
Week 2 - 5lb loss - 15 stone 6lbs
Week 3 - 4lb loss - 15 stone 2lbs
Week 4 - 2lb loss - 15 stone 0lb
Week 5 - 4lb loss - 14 stone 10lbs
Week 6 - 2lb loss - 14 stone 8lbs
Week 7 - 3lb loss - 14 stone 5lbs

My initial targets

  1. Lose 10 percent of the total weight I need to lose. - 9lbs - Achieved 30th May Smile
  2. Lose 1 stone an important milestone for me - 14lbs - Achieved 6th June Smile
  3. Lose 20 percent of the total weight I need to lose - 17lbs -Achieved 12th June Smile
  4. Lose 10 percent of my current weight - 23lbs - Achieved 26th June Smile
  5. Keep on going til I go on holiday at the end of July, one week at a time - 3 weeks to go now, so last big effort is required
swlondonnanny · 03/07/2017 07:20

Morning ladies,
Weigh in today at 112.2kg
Staring weight 138.5kg (13 March)
Week 1 -2.5kg
Week 2 -1.2kg
Week 3 - 3.7kg
Week 4 +0.1kg
Week 5 -1.8kg
Week 6 -2.5kg
Week 7 -2.8kg
Week 8 -0.3kg
Week 9 -0.5kg
Week 10 -2.2kg
Week 11 - 3.5kg
Week 12 -0.4kg
Week 13 and 14 -2.3kg
Week 15 -1.3kg
Week 16 -1.4kg
BMI 34.62...
Next goal is to get under 30 and be 'just' overweight... another 15 kgs to go...

swlondonnanny · 03/07/2017 07:25

Itmustbe great progress, only 2more weeks till your holidays now, you can wear your smaller clothes there and enjoy Smile
I couldn't get any one piece swimming costume for my holidays (I am quite tall and big boobs) so I ended up getting bikini... felt weird fo maybe 10mins and was fine afterwards

swlondonnanny · 03/07/2017 07:48

Lots I think I went from newborn size directly to size 16 Grin
Re the skin - I am not happy with mine, mainly on my arms (as everywhere else I can hide with clothes)
I have bio oil but can't say if it is working or not (as no idea what my skin would be like if I wasn't using it.
I also have body brush for dry body brushing which I try to use every morning (that one is definitely helping, my skin is not dry anymore and my swollen ankles and not as swollen as they used to be)
I am also trying to get as much collagen into me as possible from food (bone broth, slowroasted brisket etc) and also use collagen powder for my smoothie (gut healing smoothie from the Clever gut diet book - basically 200mls coconut or almond milk, 50g frozen berries, 50g frozen spinach, one scoop collagen powder + I add one scoop of Neal's Yadr cocoa balance powder) my DH drinks it as well and finds it nice
Last time I popped into Neal's yard I saw some body firming cream will give it a go I think. I think Soap and Glory might be good as well, their products generally do what they say they would.
Can't decide between starting the gym now or buying MBT shoes. I used to have them and they were brilliant for toning up legs, bum and even my stomach!!! They are just so pricey hence me hesitating. But as they are really good shoes and I walk a lot I might get them for my birthday next month. And just do some exercise video at home in the evenings...

Lotsawobblybits · 05/07/2017 10:50

Fantastic swlondonnanny good steady losses.

We had another weekend away, so I haven't been overly strict this weekend (Well you have to have an ice cream at the seaside Grin).

Weighed in yesterday and put 4lbs on, so had a minor melt down, then weighed myself this morning & I am the same as Friday- so I think I have scales problem! Current weight 15st 6.5lbs, Total loss 89.5 lbs

Not thought about taking in extra collagen, but it makes sense- I am going to investigate that further. Thank you for the tip!

I have started to really enjoy going to the gym- it really clears my head. My friend swears by the MBT shoes for her bad back as well as they alter her posture.

On a weight loss mission this week- next aim is the next stone bracket! keep KOKOing everyone.

FatGirlWithChocolate · 06/07/2017 12:45

Koko, but the scales ain't budging at the moment. Started going to the gym as well as swimming. Don't do too much there, but hoping it might firm up my bingo wings etc (they are really bad, and bizarrely one is much bigger/droopier than the other).

Itmustbemyage · 07/07/2017 14:51

Late posting in as my phone has been playing up.
swlondonnanny your continued weight loss is inspirational, I am sure that you are rocking that bikini
Lotsawobblybits great maintain after a weekend away I’m sure that this week you will have a great loss
fatgirl sometimes we don’t get the result we want on the scales but it sounds like you are really toning up, KOKO will pay off in the end

Bought some new shorts (long ones my knees are not my best feature) for my holidays but so confused by sizes one was an 18 and one was a 16 but measured up as exactly the same size.

My starting weight 16 stone 0lbs

Week 1 - 3lb loss - 15 stone 11lbs
Week 2 - 5lb loss - 15 stone 6lbs
Week 3 - 4lb loss - 15 stone 2lbs
Week 4 - 2lb loss - 15 stone 0lb
Week 5 - 4lb loss - 14 stone 10lbs
Week 6 - 2lb loss - 14 stone 8lbs
Week 7 - 3lb loss - 14 stone 5lbs
Week 8 – 3lb loss -14 stone 2lbs

My initial targets

  1. Lose 10 percent of the total weight I need to lose. - 9lbs - Achieved 30th May Smile

WorshipTheGourd · 07/07/2017 15:07

Can I join pls?
My starting weight was 19st12.
My goal is 9st12.
I am currently 17.9 so a looooonnnnngggg way to go.
I have problems with my legs and feet so exercise is hard.
But there is a gym around the corner which is £10 per month (!) which I want to join but not sure what exercise I can safely do. It's a community gym so no one to advise me.
Also want to buy a wristband that helps track my sleep / exercise.
I do have an iPhone (se) but am broke so not sure what best to buy?

I;ve been stalled for a while but desperately want to get going again.

FatGirlWithChocolate · 08/07/2017 08:48

Can you swim Worship? It's such good exercise, but doesn't strain your joints etc..it really helped me lose a lot of weight, and it's very calming too.

Itmustbemyage · 08/07/2017 11:26

Welcome Worship I've managed to lose weight without doing any exercise. I have problems with my feet and by the time I have worked at my full-time job (mostly sitting) I am not able to do any more. I think they say weight loss is 80 percent what you eat and 20 percent exercise.
Do you know anyone who goes to a gym who may be able to give you advice about the machines to use at the community gym?
Have a look on the internet for advice?
Can your GP offer any help?
Does a local "normal" gym offer any taster sessions?
Are you a member of helpful peeps ( online scheme where you can ask for free help from people who have signed up) maybe someone local would be willing to help?
Sorry can't help with any techie questions as have no idea about stuff like that.
