Calorie counting starts tomorrow (8th May). Lose a stone with me?

I managed to lose almost a stone due to illness over the new year, but have managed to put on 3 lbs since then. I really, really want to have lost a stone by the end of July (start of school holidays).

So I think that a stone in 11 weeks is definitely doable.

Anyone like to join me? I'm sticking to 1700 cals a day (I'm quite active), logging them on MyFitnessPal. I'm also aiming to do 3 lots of exercise per week (brisk walking/exercise DVD/swimming).

I'd quite like to weigh-in here too, to keep me motivated. So here goes: 11 stone 6lbs. Weigh-in again next Sunday?

Reasonable. Protein shake and half a pack of soup for lunch comes to 400 calls Absolutely starving before Pilates so 30g of nuts and seeds which probably comes to another 150 or so. Will have lime and chilli chicken and salad for tea for 300ish so 850 in total.

Thanks to whoever recommended it. I'm going for the BSD fast 800 during the week and their Mediterranean plan at the weekends.

Good day today - went for a 6k run, porridge with strawberries for lunch and vegetable stir fry for dinner (no noodles or sauce), nakd bars as snacks, so have only used 553 kcal and done 20k steps. Might nibble on a small apple now!

Christ, how on earth do you cope on the 800 cal diet?! I was aiming for 1200 today but had 1500, walked 5 miles and did a dance class with a 26lb baby in the sling so I'm hoping that cancels out the difference! I tried the first ten minutes of Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred on YouTube (until the baby started grabbing my legs so I couldn't carry on). It seems pretty good so I think I'm going to start it properly tomorrow.

Well I started out really well, porridge for breakfast, steamed veggies and chicken for lunch but then I got home from work and it fell apart a bit with biscuits! I think I have my routine for exercise sorted but seriously need to get my snacking under control!! I did well with portion control over dinner though. Managed to get some positives out of the day so that is good.....

I'm combining the low calories with 16:8, although it's probably more 19:5 for me. I find it quite easy not to eat anything until later in the day, and it's harder to stuff your face if you've only got a 5 hour window to do so! Plus, it helps me drink more (at least 2.5l a day).
Had a small apple and 10g of mixed raw nuts so now I'm up to 650kcal, still a good day.

Errrr well Tilly if today is anything to go by then I don't cope well at all on 800 calories. Will try again tomorrow!

I can't say final total because I anticipate I'll end up having tea and biscuits later so probably more like final total 650...

Can I join? I'm trying to get to 10 stone from 13. I'd like to lose a stone before my summer holiday, end of July. And the rest by Xmas. I've just bought the LDNM bikini guide which suggests 2100 calories a day. Im not happy with that so aiming for 16/1800. I'm aiming to run 15/20 miles a week and hit the gym.

Can I join please. Lost two stones on SW three years ago but have put a stone back on. Now at 10 stone exactly and would like to be 9. Started using MFP today and kept to 1200 calories with five miles walked.

Ok so far. Berries and full-fat greek yogurt for breakfast. Mushroom omelette and salad for lunch. Salmon fishcakes and veg for tea. Drinking green tea and one white coffee in the day. Doing a BSD / low carb hybrid, which has shifted the pounds easily in the past. I do weigh myself every day, I find it motivates me. Hope everyone is still on track this week.

First weigh in this morning - 153.4lbs Sad
Had to go to work in the morning so missed gym class but tried to make it up by doing a 5.6 mile run afterwards. Not strong willed enough to avoid all crisps during the pub quiz but didn't eat a whole packet as I usually would. Well done everyone, sounds like you've been giving it your all.

I think the max you can actually lose per week is about 2lbs given as that's 7,000 calories a week which is a lot of calories to kill off/not eat. So far, despite what scales say, I'd guess I'd have lost 0.5 of a pound.

Think ketosis has hit. Not really feeling hungry at the moment at least!

Ketosis is what happens when you low carb. It basically means that your body stops burning carbs for fuel and starts burning fat instead. I find it really helpful as you don't really feel hungry.

So that's 1.5lb down, and to be fair I don't deserve that because I fell off the wagon last night! Back on it today though, I'm making falafel for lunch for the first time as I've heard people rave about them, plus a Hungarian pork dish from Jamie's 15 minutes book for dinner. Leaves me about 250 calories to play with for breakfast so after the school run I'll be having something but not sure what.

I'm down 3lb this morning, so think maybe I overestimated myself on Monday. I've been keeping to my plan quite easily (soup, salad and yoghurt mainly), running on Monday, ballet Tuesday. Back to running tonight.

I find that the less I think about what I'm going to eat the better, as it just makes me hungry. So - I don't tend to count calories etc. Maybe I should?

Is anyone using MFP on the low carb high fat diet, and if so what do your macros look like at the end of the day?

Going ok then...
Today, 16k steps, no exercise though apart from a decent length dog walk. Kcal in: 682 after dinner.

Not great with food today, though could have been a lot worse. Managed to stop a biscuit binge before it properly got started, which I'm really pleased with - don't normally have that level of self control! I think the thought of coming back here with a crappy update is enough to dissuade me from going too crazy with it. No proper exercise, but did manage to hit my 10,000 steps.

I had a much better day today. Spent the morning gardening and went walking in the hills this afternoon. Managed 14k steps even though I forgot to put my fitbit on until after lunch.

Also I've had 3 good meals and no obvious sugar or snacks.

Porridge
Mackarel and salad
Veggie chilli and wrap with cheese and salad.

I'm off work this week. If only I could give up work I'd be slim and healthy in no time!

I keep having very good days and then eat chocolate pieces in the evening.

I do weigh then tho and don't go over1200 calories. Does it matter what those calories are made of? 😂

Yeah my day started really well but then I managed to consume about 500 calories of Oreo Thins :-(
