Hairspray I like kg.

Because losing only one is a huge amount!

This raised my eyebrows. Running off to get chocolate milk.

FreeNiki · 05/05/2017 11:04

I've lost 6kg or 13lbs in old money.

HairsprayBabe · 05/05/2017 11:10

I am on a 4st3 so 59lbs or 26.7kg loss, the more I think about the weight I gained in london the more annoyed I get about it Angry

I was on a loss of 4st8 or 64lbs or 29kg,

Started dieting in September last year, so have done well, but peed off right now!

BeyondStrongAndStable · 05/05/2017 11:14

I use old money Grin
I'm down 14.2lbs on my (back in the autumn) starting weight. Was very glad to discover that when I started this week I wasn't actually back up to starting weight. I was expecting to be more, tbh!!

I've packed an apple and a pack of cashews for later, so I can leave them if we eat out. Lunch will be broccoli cheese, pre going out meal will be red lentil soup :)

runningtogetskinny · 05/05/2017 12:07

Wow!!! Some really impressive weight losses there! I'm inspired Smile

Archduke · 05/05/2017 13:04

Astounding weigh losses. You absolute champions!

lastqueenofscotland · 05/05/2017 13:07

Hairspray you are incredible!

Totally stuck on 9'11 ATM and need to avoid a bad weekend which has always been a downfall of mine.

HairsprayBabe · 05/05/2017 13:42

Thanks Lasty I always knew this part would be the hardest and I was feeling rather grumpy about my capital setback.

I have just been to the farmer's market down the road from my work and bought so much food!

Asparagus, swiss chard, jerusalem artichokes, duck eggs and two punnets of huge strawberries. I also bought bee pollen for some unknown reason... apparently it boosts energy and suppresses the appetite. do you think they saw me coming

Ate a whole 400g punnet of strawbs for lunch, that is only 132 cals and I am stuffed!

TVHubbyClaire · 05/05/2017 14:15

Some aMAYzing slendirista success stories this month Smile

I'm just pleased to have weighed in again this morning at below 12st 10...ok it was 12st 9 but thats a big Linda for my mental motivation....

Fairly quiet weekend in terms of food/alcohol so hopefully not too much damage will be done and who knows I might start thinking about 12st 7...Halo

Stellar67 · 05/05/2017 16:18

Well done everyone! I'm still a newbie really. Finding my feet, literally...

It's a beautiful day here. No work today, so went for a long walk and now sitting. May be having an afternoon Wine

Look at it! It's splendid. My view never tires.

Archie in my head you are a younger version of Twiggy, she's 60 odd now, so a much younger version and you twirl! The only Twirl I do is the chocolate one. I could never be as strict with myself as you have been, you are awesome.

Quim and all the others who asked after my dog - she is okay thanks, has a weepy eye (the Staffie grabbed the side of her face, her ear and her eye) and I've been bathing it. It could have been so much worse but was terrible enough, luckily she's a feisty little thing for a 10 year old. My worry was that one of my other bigger dogs would fight it off, she's leader of the pack and is not a real fighter but has had a go at dogs before. I think the Staffie would have killed her but the little one didn't fight. I cannot believe you've been through this TWICE with your dog, it's horrendous. All the other dog walkers were so supportive.

Looks like I should be weighing first thing in the morning then as you all seem to be, that means I'm about 5 lbs down without even trying.

BOOP I see an angel week, as just that, a week when you've been an angel with food and exercise. I'm sure 5 Golden days (or 6) equals an angel week. I'm on my 5th Golden day today so I'm well pleased (so long as the scales reflect that).

Niki when I read your post about your friend and It Works, all I could see was the man in the Full Monty wrapping himself in cling film in his shed - made me laugh, love that film.

Hairspray don't be peed off, you've done brilliantly, cut yourself some slack.

Stellar that's a beautiful photo. I too live in a very beautiful place (that's why I do so many steps per day).

mmmmmm think I'm rambling, I'll shut up now. Keep up the good work everyone, you are all incredible.

FreeNiki · 05/05/2017 21:50

poorpaws you're on the same wave length as me. That is the first thing I thought of! In the full monty the cling film thing is so funny in the way it is portrayed as no one in their right mind would think that would work.

But these women are distributing and buying herbal wraps thinking they will firm and tone their body and at $99 for 4 it is a very expensive thing to do when all.of us have proven diet and exercise is all you need.

Squiffy01 · 05/05/2017 22:27

poorpaws sorry to hear about your stressful day but glad your dog didn't come off to badly, sounds like he was very lucky.

I'm a morning weigh in person too.
Going to WW tomorrow, even though I've been so good this week I really don't feel like I have lost. And that is where I always fail I have been really good and don't lose a decent amount then I think sod it, but I know this thread will get me through this time. All I have to do is stick to it.

MountainDweller · 06/05/2017 00:18

Just popping in to say thanks so much to all who sent me kind thoughts after my Dad died.

I am struggling a bit and allowing myself to lapse somewhat food-wise but am still tracking everything on mfp and coming in under my target. It is automatic to track now, which is a good thing I'm sure. But more of my calories than usual are coming from chocolate and ice cream 😊 I barely ate for the first couple of days as the anxiety and stress made me nauseous so I'm making up for it! Was away for a week and lost a kilo! Very stressful as I'm abroad so had to do a mad dash to hospital including a very last-minute flight. Luckily I made it in time, although he wasn't conscious. He was only 71.

Quim I remember reading about your Dad... the suddenness is really hard, isn't it?

Funeral is on 15 May. Such a long wait in UK these days. I've come home for a week or so as there wasn't much I could do.

Sorry I have a lot to catch up on on but I did notice Archduke's victory post - congrats to you!

Sunshineandlaughter · 06/05/2017 07:08

So sorry to hear your news mountain.

HairsprayBabe · 06/05/2017 07:21

Morning all, 11.1

Had a minor lapse last night that involved cocktails and Nandos Blush oh well! No huge plans for the weekend so I should be able to recify the damage pretty quickly!

BitOutOfPractice · 06/05/2017 07:36

Oh mountain I'm so so sorry for your loss. Yes the suddenness can make it all very hard to come to terms with. Have a squeeze from me anyway Flowers

Just waking up in the west midlands ready to start the prep for my mom's surprise party tonight. So excited and a bit nervous.

OP posts:
Sunshineandlaughter · 06/05/2017 07:55

Hope the party goes well boop.

I'm 11,11 still. This is the weight I find it hard to drop under -going for a major push over the weekend!

ponygirlcurtis · 06/05/2017 09:43

Look after yourself Mountain. It's going to be a difficult time I am sure and it's important to be kind to yourself. Flowers

Today is all about the wedding I am going to. Off to get my hair did in a mo then attempt my make-up myself. Pleased with my dress, even if I did need to go a size up to get my giant knockers it it. Ah well. Will be bringing the hankies as DS1 is doing a reading at it. And the weather (which last week was still needing scarf and gloves here in Scotland) is sunny-sunny-sunny, hurrah!

Have a successful day everyone.

blowawayblonde · 06/05/2017 09:53

Could I join? I am 144 lbs, want to lose 14 of those. I have so many amazing clothes, all too small for me. I really want to feel lithe and toned again.

walruswhiskers · 06/05/2017 09:59

Well since 1st may I've yoyoed UP 4lbs (bank hol binge) which has all now come off so still 11st6. I have started proper exercise which will help keep me motivated and have banging headache today which I suspect is due to reducing carbs/sugar. The worst bit of reducing carbs! Hoping for a loss by Monday morning.

Well done to those many doing well and many condolences on your loss, mountain. Look after yourself.

Squiffy01 · 06/05/2017 10:09

So sorry about your dad mountain look after yourself.

boop hope the party goes well! Just off to get weighed.

Squiffy01 · 06/05/2017 11:52
  • 2.5lbs for this week Grin
BeyondStrongAndStable · 06/05/2017 14:51

Flowers mountain, sorry I missed the post about your dad

Didn't weigh this morning as I stayed at my friend's house, went out last night and only went a little squewiff - had an interval ice cream and some pringles Blush - but still only drank water and took muesli for my breakfast, then had an apple and some cashews on the drive home. Then my leftover broccoli cheese for late lunch

BeyondStrongAndStable · 06/05/2017 19:22

Had red lentil soup again for dinner, now having some diet bitter cranberry while I watch tv. Step goal met - whoop!!
