So it would still work in place of breakfast then? Rest of day doesn't necessarily have to be lo carb does it?

HairsprayBabe · 23/05/2017 14:43

I suppose not, I think it is also supposed to get you fat adapted and into ketosis faster, would have to look into it, not seen it advocated for other types of healthy eating plans.

QuimReaper · 23/05/2017 15:51

ready it's pretty good for filling you up so it is a pretty good meal replacement on any diet I guess, but the original idea is to up your fat intake on a LCHF. I want to get more good fats into my diet anyway, for the sake of skin and hair and nails and all that, so I'm pleased with the discovery as a breakfast. As Hairspray says it probably wouldn't work iced unfortunately.

Almost 13K steps today, feeling very pleased and quite zonked! I'm definitely all full of cold, so it was quite an effort.

WOW koko, 2 Lindas overnight! Great progress! I'm not weighing in until Thursday morning.

I'm eating very little too, I'm going to go and make some cheesy scrambles in a bit I think.

If I have some incredible loss from this (I'd count a kilo as incredible) I'd consider doing it again, although the lack of veg means it really isn't very versatile. I do wonder whether the results would really differ much if I tossed some spinach in there...

HairsprayBabe · 23/05/2017 18:58

I have just got back from a run and eaten a 4 egg omlette with mozzerella and basil oil, am totally stuffed and not feeling deprived at all! Hopefully I will see a really good loss this week and keep it off over the weekend!!!

lastqueenofscotland · 23/05/2017 19:21

I live and work within spitting distance of Manchester arena so I've had an unintentially golden few days from being so bloody upset Sad

leesmum · 23/05/2017 19:29

lastqueen same here, not ate much today because I've felt upset and sickly all day Sad

BitOutOfPractice · 23/05/2017 19:40

It's incredibly upsetting and scary isn't it? Sad

leesmum · 23/05/2017 20:07

Yes BOOP We heard all the sirens last night and knew something bad had happened, it's been a very sad day in Manchester x

QuimReaper · 23/05/2017 20:18

Sorry it's so close to home for some of you Flowers

BitOutOfPractice · 23/05/2017 20:28

I went to university in Manchester many years ago and the city has s very special place in my heart. My thoughts are with you all, especially those who have lost friends and family Flowers

Lees you can't be too far from me Sad

BeyondStrongAndStable · 23/05/2017 20:55

:( Flowers

My mum made me a special diet appropriate meal just for me this evening, veggie sausages, salad, egg and cheese. My calories were on track til my dad produced a cake he had made (not a baker). I had a smidge of it... Blush

poorpaws · 23/05/2017 21:41

My thoughts are with everyone in Manchester.

Thanks Quim I needed that.

Was doing well yesterday until I got sunstroke! I'm in sunny Devon and it was unbearably hot yesterday so what did Paws stupidly do? Had very little to eat, went on a three hour walk at the honest time of the day and then carried 23 large concrete blocks up steps (really heavy buggers) and then wondered why I felt so ill. Back on the diet today though thanks to Quims wise words.

Watching the egg fest with great interest and wonder if I could manage it.

poorpaws · 23/05/2017 21:42

Hottest time of day for goodness sake

QuimReaper · 23/05/2017 22:06

Concrete blocks?! Shock Crikey, that's bootcamp stuff paws, serious respect! I doubt I could do that after a 12oz steak, let alone an empty stomach! Are you feeling a bit better today? Well done for getting back on that wagon.

50 mins of hula hooping this evening, and three scrambled eggs with Parmesan. Very yummy! Hoping I didn't get the cheese / butter ratio wrong. I used a fair bit of butter but not enough I suspect, but I hgad some leftover grated Parmesan in a little Tupperware and without thinking I dumped all of it in - I don't think it was loads but I'd already had 2 BabyBels so I'm anxious about it...

I am feeling rotten now with this lurg Sad DH installed me on the sofa with a cup of tea and a blanket and tried to give me my birthday chocolate haul! Shock I was momentarily very tempted, that would have been disastrous!

BitOutOfPractice · 23/05/2017 22:11

Oh no. Get well soon you two Flowers

Golden day 2 of my hopefully angel week completed.

OP posts:
poorpaws · 23/05/2017 23:30

Oh poor Quim I hope you feel better very soon.

Boop hope you make it to the Angel Week, you've made a very good start.

Yes thanks Quim much better today and it was cooler here but we are set for a very hot few days starting tomorrow. I've been wheelbarrowing soil today so still at boot camp. Long story but my garden is very steep (loads of steps) and a family member is supposed to be redesigning it, (building walls etc hence the concrete blocks) but typically he keeps letting me down so I am having to do loads myself (carrying sand, cement, soil, blocks etc up steps not actually building walls). I keep telling myself it's good for my weight loss (and when I chop tree branches down I imagine it's his neck - unreliable bugger). I didn't sign up for this when he took on the job (Two years ago and it's not even a quarter done 😡).

Marmalade85 · 24/05/2017 06:22

Oh god, trust tried the bpc blended with ice and I nearly vomited. Thought it would work if I blended some of the oil and butter with a bit of hot coffee and then added ice and the rest of the coffee. The foam goes solid anyway and it was utterly vile.

readyforsunshine · 24/05/2017 07:22

Thanks for guinea pigging for me marmalade Grin
I liked the idea of iced coconut coffee but I'll give it a go hot today & see how I get on. I often have a smoothie so it may work as a replacement.
koko well done on your 2 lbs! Perhaps it works by making you so bored you don't bother to eat for 3 days! At least it's worked for you👍
quim as paws said you are indeed full of kind, wise words ❤️
So sorry for all those in Manchester, it's just so terribly sad & shocking. I can't imagine the how agonising it must be to wait to hear from your children, just awful.

Stellar67 · 24/05/2017 07:34

Eggeristas I have a confession to make, last night I ate fruit! And then a glass of wine and a packet of crisps

But I got up and I was 2lbs down. So I'm back in the egg nest today. Although I have to admit the thought of an egg is not pleasing me.

And because I've been bad I will try and and push another egg day through tomorrow, perhaps add some ham though.

Hope you are feeling better today quim.

Let's keep this week going slenderistas!

HairsprayBabe · 24/05/2017 08:10

You can buy blended coconut oil that stays liquid at room temp but i don't know if it would stay liquid at 0C

10.11 for me this morning, so another "standard" loss for me. Very achy from picking up the exercise again so I am hoping there has been more of a loss but my muscles are holding onto a bit of water perhaps? I am thinking I might need to buy some heavier weights because atm I only have 2 teeny tiny 500g dumbells and I know for some moves I should be going much much heavier and I am barely feeling it.

Bulletproof coffee for breakfast, cream cheese egg muffin for lunch and scrambled eggs for dinner. I might forgo the cheese in my dinner tonight and see if that makes a difference in losses.

BitOutOfPractice · 24/05/2017 08:34

I'm having eggs for breakfast in solidarity with the Eggeristas. Then again, I do almost every morning
