Oops, I crossposted. Well done Hairspray!

BeyondStrongAndStable · 18/05/2017 08:39

Egg fast isn't literally just eggs, it's
"Basically on an egg fast you are consuming eggs, butter (or other pure and healthy fat like olive oil or coconut oil), and cheese, with a few exceptions for low carb condiments like hot sauce, mustard, etc. The egg fast ratio is to eat 1 Tbsp fat for each egg consumed and up to 1 oz cheese for each egg consumed."

I could live on cheese omelettes for three days Grin

Down 0.2 lbs today and as such reach my lowest weight from November!! :)

BeyondStrongAndStable · 18/05/2017 08:41

Well done hairspray!!! 🎉🎉

TVHubbyClaire · 18/05/2017 08:43

Well done you hairspray fab to look in the mirror and like what you see

niki I think that's a great NSV, I am looking forward to moving my belt fastener back another hole to the one I used 15 years ago and will hopefully have to change other pieces of clothing soonSmile

QuimReaper · 18/05/2017 10:31

Wowzer, well done everyone - brilliant loss for the month Hairspray and congrats on the losses Beyond and ready, and Niki for the NSV!

Yes, the egg fast involves eating fat with your eggs but no fruit, veg, meat etc. The Dukan Attack phase also involves no fruit or veg, but also little to no fat, so it's slightly more varied but generally more hardcore. Varied in the sense that you get to vary your meat Confused

Stellar67 · 18/05/2017 10:34

Sounds good, and simple.

BitOutOfPractice · 18/05/2017 11:05

I'm beginning to think you might work for the Egg Marketing Board quim Wink

BOOP I'm angling for the top spot Grin

I seriously do credit the humble egg with being my best weight loss tool. Funnily enough it was "Tech" (as in the MNHQ user) who first put it in my head on a 5:2 thread...

QuimReaper · 18/05/2017 12:15

I know I've said this before, but I am resuming my daily hula hooping in an attempt to build some core muscle strength. I did about 15 minutes last night and have put reminders in my calendar for the next few days when i consider I'll have a likely juncture.

I really must do something to get some muscle going. I'm smaller, but more depressingly jiggly than ever Sad

Archduke · 18/05/2017 12:28

Well done TV and Hairspray brilliant work.

Today I have eaten a banana, a weird eggy veg muffin, sushi, nuts and sweet corn.

I had 3/4 of a bottle of revolting chardonnay last night and have felt grim all day. Thank sweet baby Jesus it's now bed time and I can write the day off.

Quim my physio said the best abs exercise was lying on the floor (hooray) and lifting your legs off the ground and then kind of pulling the knee up towards your chest in turn, without arching your back. Apparently that will tighten you up in no time.

runningtogetskinny · 18/05/2017 13:44

Weighed in today, STILL 10st 0.2 pounds 😡ran a 7 mile race (some of it on sand!) been to gym twice and ran before work one day - all since Sunday! No alcohol and under my 1200 on mfp. However, it's a 3.6 pound loss for the month so not all bad I guess

readyforsunshine · 18/05/2017 14:34

Well done beyond & hairspray
Been back to the gym today & I was a little concerned I'd struggle but I actually left feeling better than when I went in! Have ridden Dds horse & that was another good workout. I was show jumping which I haven't done in about 30 yearsShock I loved it but I was really puffing!
I've still got to get my steps in for the day so hoping I won't run out of steam.
running you will get your loss, have you taken measurements?

TVHubbyClaire · 18/05/2017 15:35

running - thats a fab effort in 4 days, I'm sure you will see another loss soon Smile

This morning's breakfast was a few strawberries, raspberries and blueberries rather than toast, hope it continuesHmm

ArseyTussle · 18/05/2017 16:34

Anyone fancy an egg now? I love eggs. I've been trying to migrate towards poached to be healthier but mine always look like ectoplasm and get my toast all watery. Envy < vom face

BitOutOfPractice · 18/05/2017 17:49

They need draining on some kitchen paper Arsey

Mmmm I could definitely live off cheese omelettes for three days Grin

Well done Beyond! That is brilliant

Running honestly you are doing really well, please don't be disheartened because you are not seeing the results as quickly as you would like. Keep doing what you are doing and you will see them in time!

FreeNiki · 18/05/2017 19:12

I have put on weight this month and have been to the gym once this week. I guess I am losing my grip on this.

QuimReaper · 18/05/2017 20:53

running truly incredible effort, well done!

I've had a super-platinum day Smile Almost 19K steps to make up for yesterday, about 25 mins hula hooping, and all on a hard boiled egg, two Babybels, a carrot, kale and apple smoothie and a slice of this awesome three-cheese vege frittata I made. I feel very virtuous!

Fingers crossed for a good weigh-in tomorrow. I have at least managed a lot of water this week, which I think might have been the missing link last week.

Stellar67 · 18/05/2017 20:55

I have a hula hoop! Is yours a weighted one quim?

Now I have visions of us all hula hopping juggling eggs and wearing golden outfits with Linda embroidered on the back....

QuimReaper · 18/05/2017 20:56

Niki can you remind me what sort of diet you're following? I hate that ridiculous old "muscle weighs more than fat" chestnut that people roll out, but since you really do do so much exercise and a lot of it resistance (correct me if I'm wrong on that) it might actually be the case with you. Have you kept a track of your measurements?

QuimReaper · 18/05/2017 21:02

Yes it is Stellar, it's fab! I don't get especially sweaty or out of breath or achey with it so I'm not sure it does loads, but I'm pretty sure it must be engaging my core which can be no bad thing, so I'm cautiously optimistic it might make a bit of difference if I keep it up. And I can do it in front of Netflix Wink

I LOVE the stage act! We could call ourselves the Pink Lindas Grin
