Spring is Sprung and the Easter bunny is on his way. Let's dodge the chocolate temptations and power our way to 7lbs off this month

Here's a link to the March thread

Hairspray you really are an oracle! Weird about the wrap v pittas thing, I'd have thought a wrap would be a lighter option.

I've had a bad tum for two days, really big and sore and bloated, and I think it's fiiiinally recovering. Phew.

Needing a good day today because I'm out tomorrow, Friday and Saturday and each time will be very calorific Grin

HairsprayBabe · 05/04/2017 11:50

I think it is the wrap itself that it is so high in sugar, then there is the chilli jam, that the pitta and burger don't have and the yoghurt mayo that is more calorific than the normal mayo.

I love the beanie pittas, I think they put crack in them and I am an addict!

TVHubbyClaire · 05/04/2017 13:09

I am definitely going for pitta and corn. I'm quite looking forward to ordering something based on calorie contentSmile.

Whilst I usually try to be sensible when eating out I have never made a decision based on 350 v 550 calories before......

QuimReaper · 05/04/2017 13:21

Again, it's funny, yoghurt mayo "sounds" lighter than normal mayo. Sneaky Nando's. They do print the calorie content on the menus though, don't they?

I must say I'm very impressed - I have never managed to control my ordering in restaurants! I see it as a real treat, and it feels like wasting it to order something sensible Grin

Where on earth's BOOP got to? D'you reckon Chard has kidnapped her for another beach break?

TVHubbyClaire · 05/04/2017 13:36

I agree Quim I would definitely have gone for yogurt mayo thinking lighter....

Like you, I would normally not think of calories when out for dinner but I am looking at Nandos tonight as a bit more "mid week functional" really going because DS likes it and we are taking him to a show afterwards so a bit of a treat for him rather than me

My new snack - wasabi-coated beans and peas from Tesco. Too too nice, and only 132cals for a third of a packet. Nibbletastic.

tries to ignore all the Nando's talk as I am in pre-period eat everything in sight mode and about to gnaw an arm off

Softpebbles · 05/04/2017 13:46

See Nando's isn't my thing - Handmade Burger Company - is my favourite fasty food type place.

I tend to go for the peri chicken pitta there - along with the chips unfortunately!!

Afternoon ladies... sorry I haven't posted recently, had ILs visiting (not good for the diet, which included a Chinese takeaway, fish and chips and a few beers!) and been having a tough 24 hours.

Will try and weigh tomorrow (be a week since I last did so) and update you! Hope you're all having great losses this week Smile

Yes if you want to check the full calorie content of Nando's they have everything listed on the website.

I am now desperately craving a Nando's!

We are having a recipe of my own invention "Mexican Peppers"
1/2 a red or yellow pepper stuffed with 70g of tinned refried beans, topped with a 30g of Mexicana cheese baked for 20 mins at 180 - 221 Calories, DP has 2.
I have it with 1/2 an Avocado 112cals 2 tbsp of sour cream 50cals and a 1/4 pot of tesco salsa 27cals.

Plus a load of salad that I don't really count the cals for, unless I put things like nuts/mango/dressing etc.
Probably lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pepper, spring onions, celery, won't be more than 50 cals.

Hello everyone! Wow I've got loads to catch up on. Busy slenderistas

I've been away at a work conference staying at a splendid hotel. Food not been too bad but there has been much much wine consumed. I am definitely hanging today. Travelling home now and need to get back on track pronto

Off to read back now

My dog walking trousers have adjustable waist strips and today I was able to take them in - yay I am so delighted.

I also did a quick mid week weigh in and it's looking good so far!

I've done so well this week I almost wish I wasn't going out for this meal tonight. Hairspray I wish you were an expert in the restaurant I am going to 😀.

My damage limitation will be no starter, no alcohol and black coffee. Unfortunately the mains look quite calorific and if I don't have a dessert the birthday girl I am going out with will be very upset and won't have one herself. It's a very big birthday so I don't want to spoil it for her. -the desserts look amazing- . If I cut everything down too much I will feel deprived and I don't go out to such a nice place very often (it's 10 years almost to the day since I've been here). I think I would rather work harder next week and have a good meal tonight.

I'm going to try and find something to wear now. I had not thought that one through well enough really.

Day two of shred felt good! I am concerned my weights are too small, what size is anyone else doing it using?

I have pink Davina weights. Not very heavy!

I used tins of grapefruit as weights! Never heard of anybody feeling good on day 2 of shred although I do remember feeling better after doing it. My legs were like jelly & lowering myself onto the loo was agony!
Hope you enjoyed your pud paws
boop I need to join you getting back on track, yesterday was terrible, I felt unwell & went on a massive carb festSad I haven't done my weekly weigh in as I don't want to depress myself, but I expect I'm back where I started, grr

11.2 again here but I seem to have developed cysitis (sp?) and I know that can lead to water retention
Lots of water for me today, plus those gross sachets.

Feeling very sorry for myself Sad

Well, I lost 2 miserable (literally!) pounds in March, and now weigh in at 10st 12lbs, and am 5'3". Tomorrow we're going for a curry with friends so am confident that I will have re-gained the 2lbs by Saturday, and that the weight will bring a few more with it.

BTW - what is this unit of measurement called a "Linda"?
