Spring is Sprung and the Easter bunny is on his way. Let's dodge the chocolate temptations and power our way to 7lbs off this month

Here's a link to the March thread

You all seem so happy and have such exciting globetrotting / fabulous dresses lives! (I know that's not good grammar 😀).

Me - I've got a serious water leak that a team of experts have to fix BUT it's Bank Holiday (they couldn't come out at the beginning of the week). From what they are saying they have to demolish a wall and pretty much all my front garden. Apparently this is going to cost many £s, thousands from the sound of it. I think (but hasn't been confirmed yet) that I am insured for up to £3,000 but it could cost more. So I have no water and have to pee into a bucket (tmi). This has sent my diet into chaos. I have no idea where my wagon is but i bet it's got no water in it. Have a lovely Bank Holiday everyone, I'll just drink wine instead of water 😉

FreeNiki · 28/04/2017 22:05

Very pretty dress squiffy.

Stellar67 · 28/04/2017 22:20

Gads poor paws, that sounds like a character building weekend. (Trying to be positive)

BOOP no idea why we all panicked that there would be no internet in Spain. Grin Is it warm? I have my stove on in not so sunny Scotland.

Squiffy you look beautiful. I wish I could pull off that dress. Wonderful.

I'm at that stage where I'm exhausted but can't sleep. Taking the dcs to Zoo tomorrow. Tickets were a gift. Not a huge fan of the Zoo. They've wasted all their money getting the pandas and we've been left with not much else.

Archduke · 29/04/2017 00:59

Ha, love the panic when it seemed like BOOP would be away for the May thread Grin Grin Grin.

Squiffy that dress is lovely and you look great in it. IMO it needs some nice bright heels to razz it up. I love these, am in love with green at the moment or these in blue.

I have been looking for new rugs (too many puppy accidents to deal with on the old ones) and there is literally nothing I like in the whole of Australia. Am considering buying in the UK in July and bringing back with me. Australia SUCKS for shopping for nice things.

Anyway on the food front, all ok. I went to a friends after work last night and ate triple cream brie but didn't have any dinner.

Am really nervous about my race tomorrow. I feel like I'm coming down with the flu (but it's probably my imagination). I'm just hoping to finish under 1hr 15mins Grin. DD1 is doing the 5km run and dh and dd2 will watch.

Paws your plumbing issues sound awful. When are you hoping it will be fixed?

Have a good weekend everyone - enjoy the holiday.

HairsprayBabe · 29/04/2017 06:49

10.9 and that is as good as it will get for me this month I think! -4 lindas still it is a damn sight better then ending on a gain!

Have a lovely bank holiday all CakeWineGin and I'll see you on the new thread.

Squiffy01 · 29/04/2017 10:56

Thanks all. Still think it doesn't look great but I think that about everything Confused

arch I also thought I needed some coloured shoes but have not yet found any will have one last look today but it might just have to be silver wedges.

BitOutOfPractice · 29/04/2017 14:20

Holiday wardrobe crisis. All the jeans I've brought are too big Grin

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 29/04/2017 17:55

BOOP, that's a great problem to have!

FreeNiki · 29/04/2017 18:31

Many of my summer dresses are too big now.

poorpaws · 29/04/2017 22:00

Quick post don't want to bore people to death about my water leak BUT ITS FIXED! An engineer came this morning to survey the work which was to be done next week. He said I had been told a load of rubbish by the previous man (same company, Homeserve). In five hours he mended it and my walls is still standing, only one large shrub was descimated and all is back to normal (I did have insurance to cover it too, Phew).

So now back to the wagon tomorrow for me and no more excuses.

Love the green shoes but hot water is my very favourite thing at the moment (I so took it or granted before).

poorpaws · 29/04/2017 22:01

All my jeans are too small ☹️

Archduke · 29/04/2017 22:21

Yay Paws that's great news.

BOOP Shop shop shop shop shop. It's the only way forward in this kind of crisis.

Hairspray a 4 lb loss is excellent. You may wear the April crown unless we have anyone who can beat you?

I'm sitting nervously drinking tea before heading out to my race. God, I'm a bore about it. Was just chatting on fb to someone doing the half marathon, she was very kind and didn't laugh at my first-time-racer nervous ramblings. Queenie do you get nervous before a race? I feel like I'm about to attend a job interview.

Archduke · 30/04/2017 02:57

I RAN 10KM IN 1 HR 3 SECONDS

I am beyond stoked Grin Grin Grin.

Could have got sub 1 hr if I'd tried a bit harder, grrr.

FreeNiki · 30/04/2017 03:33

duke Grin 🤗👍🍾🏅🏆

BitOutOfPractice · 30/04/2017 05:41

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 30/04/2017 08:28

Glad it got sorted Paws!

Well done Archie, that is an amazing time! Star

BitOutOfPractice · 30/04/2017 08:47

Paws thank goodness for that!

So, last day of April. Want to check in with losses / weights? I've lost 4lbs. I'm now 11 stone 1lb.

In may I'd like to lose 5lbs. Very very unlikely but let's put it out there.

OP posts:
SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 30/04/2017 09:16

I have lost a grand total of 2lbs this month. I am ever-hopeful though that when AF has buggered off I might have a whoosh and lose another 2 ish lbs, which would put me back at the weight I was at the start of March. So I guess that is my goal for May! Get back to my March weight Grin

Balonder · 30/04/2017 10:00

I lost 4 lbs. 14.2 to 13.12

Stellar67 · 30/04/2017 10:05

Great news paws!

Well done Archy! That is a brilliant time. StarStarStarStarStar

Well done losers of the Linda's.

I am so upset I am still the same as I was before. It's not going up. But I'm in no way ready to maintain.

Have printed off some LCHF stuff to look at. Any tips there?

FreeNiki · 30/04/2017 12:11

I appear to have dipped beneath 10.7 on the bathroom scale.

i could verify on the boditrax but now ive eaten toast so it will skew it. I normally weigh before eating in the morning.

Would like to lose 2-3lbs next month and be closer to 10st.

BeyondStrongAndStable · 30/04/2017 12:16

I'm (I assume!) gonna have water loss too. So I'm gonna be going for a stone in may. I'm cutting coffee, alcohol and meat out completely and doing the BSD. Reckon that sounds possible? 😬

ponygirlcurtis · 30/04/2017 13:13

Brilliant Arch! Star Well done, now you have a goal to aim for next time. Wink

After the Easter foodfest I went up - the highest I saw was 11st 2.5lbs. I now seem to be back down to 10st 13.5lbs - so although I am back where I started I have technically lost 3lbs! Grin I have cleared out a few more pairs of size 16 trousers that are now far too big.

Stellar the low-carb threads in the dedicated section are a good place to start. Lots of water, a bit of movement and don't be afraid of the fat. Smile

FreeNiki · 30/04/2017 16:45

I started month at 67kg. Went down to 66.5kg.

Back up to 67.5kg and now back down yo 66.8kg and fat percentage has shot up.

Bollocks. Oh well a 200g loss nonetheless.

hit gym hard tomorrow.
