Thanks everyone. We took DS (2.5) out round the shops this morning and back now for his nap. Brought him an ice cream and took him on a couple of rides - maybe spoiling him but just wanted to appreciate having him if that makes sense?

How do people have sex and just then have babies, it seems so alien to me.

I'm having a naked noodle pot (low syns on slimming world) and a nap afterwards.

Vodka tonight - I don't think anyone could blame me for that Grin

Wenchelda · 25/03/2017 15:29

Sorry Bibs - I have no experience of ivf but it must be very disheartening. You definitely deserve the vodka tonight.

Bibs2014 · 25/03/2017 17:06

It's a pain in the bloody backside that's what it is Grin. And £12k down the drainConfused. Haven't even cried properly yet, what's the point?

MillieMoodle · 25/03/2017 22:12

Aw Bibs I'm so sorry to hear that. Flowers and Wineand some un-mumsnetty hugs too xx

Lapinlapin · 25/03/2017 22:14

SmellTheGlove · 26/03/2017 17:21

3lbs on in 2 days!!!! Shock

Bibs2014 · 26/03/2017 22:33

I was 10st 13 this morning so that's my start weight. Doubt I'll lose a stone for Easter but a few lbs would be good Smile

Notsoskinnyminny · 27/03/2017 06:50

DH has got manflu need I say more Grin I might be sympathetic if he stopped sniffing and took himself to bed like the rest of us do but no 'I'm not giving in to it' well bloody well shut up about it Grin

SmellTheGlove · 27/03/2017 07:21

Another pound on this morning and I ate UNDER my calories yesterday. WTAF??????

Bibs2014 · 27/03/2017 13:51

Smell - it might be the weight of the food the day before yesterday, keep going!

My menu today -

shredded wheat with ss milk, apple, 2 x satsumas
salad with tandoori chicken wings, mugshot, yoghurt
lamb with rice/potatoes, veg/salad - haven't decided yet!

I am resisting cake in the work kitchen!

happypoobum · 27/03/2017 14:31

You deserve the Prosecco Bibs Flowers

I didn't lose this week - but I haven't been terribly good.

Will be super good this week and see what happens.............

Flashinthepan · 27/03/2017 16:19

Still 10 st 5 here. Park run pb of 28.58 on Saturday though and maintaining is better than gaining, which is what's been happening for the last few months! Bibs I'm so sorry to hear of your if difficulties. Not quite the same but I lost a tube last year due to an ectopic pregnancy and haven't managed to conceive since. For me that's one of the reasons I got really back into exercise, something I can control when everything else seems screwed up. I hope that it helps you too.

Flashinthepan · 27/03/2017 16:19

IVF not if.

Bibs2014 · 27/03/2017 16:28

Flash - thank you for your message, that's really nice of you.
When my first cycle failed back in 2013, I threw myself into healthy eating and exercise. I was glowing and slim and felt good – as good as you can feel I suppose when your heart is broken. I hope you manage to conceive soon. Flowers

Bibs2014 · 27/03/2017 16:29

And well done on your Parkrun PB.

Wenchelda · 28/03/2017 17:31

Evening all Smile

Not been adding much to the thread recently but still be logging everything on MFP and have been under my cals every day since Friday so fingers crossed for some downwards movement on the scales when I do my midweek weigh in tomorrow morning.

Today I had a late breakfast of bacon bap and hazelnut latte in the cafe at Dunelm (absolutely scrumptious ... I'll be going back there again!), only had a snack of lentil crisps and a sneaky price of rocky road at lunchtime as breakfast was so late, homemade pizza for tea with ham, cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms, onion & spinach. Yummy Smile

MillieMoodle · 28/03/2017 19:21

I'm still hanging in there at 11st 3lbs. Trying to be good as well, although the weekend was a bit of a disaster and I ate far too much!

Yesterday had 2 farleys' rusks for breakfast, a toasted bagel with butter for lunch and lasagna and broccoli for dinner. Followed by a small sweet popcorn at the cinema. Today I've had a banana, sausage and onion baguette at lunch time and a dinner (made by DH) of sausages, chips, sweetcorn, bacon, onions and mushrooms. 'Twas unusual but tasty. I think if I can be good all week then I can relax a bit at the weekends, and it gives me something to look forward to.

Flowers for you both Bibs and Flash. Hoping you are both able to conceive soon.

Flashinthepan · 29/03/2017 11:00

Thanks Bibs and Millie. Here's hoping I'll be slimmer and toned when it finally happens!

Millie I had a way too much, too indulgent food weekend too. Back on the bandwagon yesterday though:

B: Banana with greek yoghurt
L: Homemade quesadilla with sweet potato, coriander and feta.
D: Kale and mushroom lasagne.
S: king prawns with thousand island dip; grapes.

Today will be the same but with homemade feta and caramelized onion burger, potato wedges and veg for dinner. Started using my fitness pal again too. It wants me to have 1800 cals, for a 1lb a week weight loss, but I struggle to achieve that, or else I underestimate cals, which is probably more likely!

Lapinlapin · 29/03/2017 11:13

Hope you're doing OK Bibs Flowers
Keeping fingers crossed for both you and Flash

11.3 sounds good to me Millie
Weighed in this morning and still 11.6 for me

I'm being really good with the no sugar thing, so it's depressing when the scales don't reflect it. Fingers crossed for a better weigh-in next week!

On a more positive note I did day 1 of the 30 day shred yesterday. It didn't seem too bad at the time, but I certainly ache this morning. Feels good though - a step in the right direction. I have decided I try to do the full 30 days and see if it helps with toning, and hopeful also weight loss.
