Hello if anyone is still here! How are you all?

I've managed to drop a couple of pounds but still not happy with my current weight of 10st 7. I'm struggling with my anxiety at the moment though and finding it difficult to be watching what I eat excuses excuses

I think I've got to really make an effort to do a bit on my exercise bike each day - more for my mental health than anything. Going to be a struggle though. I got on it today for the first time in about a year and only managed 2k/less than 10minutes Blush
Will really have to force myself on to it every morning and hopefully get into a habit of 5k each day.

That has to be my priority right now, but I hope that doing that will make me want to eat better at the same time as making me mentally fitter.

Easier said than done though.

Wenchelda · 24/04/2018 19:08

Not sure what has come over me but I've just done another 15mins on the bike which takes me to about 6k for today. Hope I can keep it up.

Also discovered my bike can tell me what my body fat is. 34% apparently. Is that good or bad? No idea what it's meant to be (nor how on earth the bike can work it out?!) Confused

@MillieMoodle @Notsoskinnyminny @SmellTheGlove

Are any of you still around?

MillieMoodle · 26/04/2018 22:15

Hello Wench yes I'm still here! Have been crazy busy at work so haven't had time to do anything except work for the last three weeks. Which means my good eating had gone completely to pot. Am hovering at around 11st 9lbs which I'm not at all happy with. Hope your anxiety isn't too bad at the moment? Thanks

SmellTheGlove · 27/04/2018 08:58

I'm here! Still not a lot of progress though! What with Easter and my birthday a few days ago there has been quite a lot of overeating! I haven't gone too crazy though so although the scales are fluctuating wildly I think I can get back on track. It's just going to be hard losing those last few pounds..

Notsoskinnyminny · 27/04/2018 17:58

I'm here as well, been trying to reduce my time spent on MN!

Easter hols undid most of my good work and then we had an event last weekend where I knew it'd be pub food/breakfasts all washed down with booze or milky lattes so had another fuckit week. Not weighed since Monday when I was back to 9st10.

Just paid the balance of our holiday and got 90 days to get in shape. My hairdresser swears by planking - front and back - so going to try and start with 2 mins on each side and try and build up from there. I've started logging everything on MFP properly - ie weighing instead of guessing - last night's 100g baked potato was nearly 300g - 100g spuds are blummin tidgy - yes I weighed half the bag until I found one!!
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

PS I'm still having Wine tonight

MillieMoodle · 06/05/2018 08:33

Is anyone still about?

I've started back up with my fitness tracker and logging food again on mfp from this morning. Am trying to move more as well as want to reach 10,000 steps or more a day. Am going for a run tomorrow morning for the first time in about 15 years so that should be interesting! 25 days til we go on holiday and I need to lose at least half a stone, preferably a stone! Panic stations!

SmellTheGlove · 07/05/2018 08:13

Hi Millie . Moving more is the key I think. I use a pedometer on my phone rather than a Fitbit so it doesn't count my pottering around the house steps just actual out and about walking, which I feel is a more accurate assessment of how much I am moving. I average about 6000 steps a day on that, which is about 40/50 mins actual walking. When I'm not at work I do about 10,000 a day but less on work days as although I'm rushing around a lot I don't do the school run which is about 7000 in total. I think it has really helped with my weight, and although I'm extremely frustrated at plateauing at the moment at least I haven't gained any weight back I suppose! Good luck with the run!

MillieMoodle · 07/05/2018 21:21

Thanks Smell.

Went for a run this evening as didn't get up and about early enough this morning and it was too hot! Have started the couch to 5k thing and have a running buddy who needs to get fit too so am feeling motivated. First run went well and we did an extra walk so have done over 13,000 steps today. I usually average about 3-4K as I'm sitting in an office all week. First time I've beaten my steps target for well over a year. Have also drunk loads of water today! Fingers crossed I can keep this up!

I'm still here but failing miserably at both exercise and dieting so I've been too ashamed to post BlushSad

Notsoskinnyminny · 08/05/2018 18:37

I'm still chomping on the salads and had a good 2 weeks but it's all been undone over the weekend thanks to a couple of barbies washed down with too much beer and wine but I did manage 18k steps on Saturday - we got lost on a walk!

Back to work so not as much temptation but need to find a good balance instead of gorging at the weekend.

MillieMoodle · 14/05/2018 21:26

I'm still here! Have started the Couch to 5k thing with a friend, we are into week 2 now, so have done 4 runs and it's going well so far. Have given up sugar in coffee. Haven't had chocolate or sweet stuff since last week. Also haven't lost a pound! Am trying to be patient and think that surely some weight loss will happen soon! How is everyone else doing?

Notsoskinnyminny · 17/05/2018 06:47

Well done millie keep going, my colleague started 2 years ago and now regularly competes in 10k races and is talking of doing a marathon.

I'm still on track mainly because I'm logging and weighing everything but still having treats at the weekend. 10 wks until we go away and would to be below 9st.

MillieMoodle · 17/05/2018 21:33

Have made it back down to 11st 7lbs, so 3lbs off but all seemed to have dropped in the last day or so! Still keeping up with the couch to 5k. Going on holiday in 2 weeks time and would love to be down to 11st. Think that's a bit optimistic so would be happy with 11st 3lbs I think.

Well done for staying on track Notso!

FireflyGirl · 18/05/2018 06:33

Hey ladies!

I dropped off last year after a family bereavement when I completely lost motivation. I managed to stay mostly the same despite my eating habits deteriorating, which turned out to be due to a medical condition which should have been causing me to lose weight Blush

So they've sorted that, and I've put 12lb on since January Shock Shock

I've been waiting until I got my motivation back to look for a support group, and stumbled on you! Will you have me back? Grin Pretty please?

Notsoskinnyminny · 18/05/2018 07:11

Of course we will but we're a bit quiet and still rubbish at keeping off what we lose but we'll try and post more to keep each other motivated in the run up to cossy season 😂

SmellTheGlove · 18/05/2018 18:44

Firefly welcome back! Happy to support - we are nothing if not persistent! I'm still doing ok although lots of plateuing. I'm not sure I have the inclination to do what it probably takes to shift those last few pounds....

MillieMoodle · 22/05/2018 22:04

Firefly, welcome back! I'm so sorry for your family bereavement.

I haven't been very good or motivated for ages, but started the couch to 5k a couple of weeks ago and have been sticking to it. But had a bad day today - started off well with a run at 6.30am but then have come down with a cold and all I've wanted to do is eat. Had McDonald for lunch and dominos for dinner. Oops. Tomorrow I'll be back on it!

Notsoskinnyminny · 30/05/2018 14:13

how's everyone doing? hot weather's meant we've been having bbqs but I've avoided the bread so hoping they've not been too bad but it's hard to say no to the beer and wine!

MillieMoodle · 09/06/2018 09:47

Not great but not too bad, have just come back from a week's holiday, all inclusive. Have put on 3lbs so not the end of the world! Have got loads on this weekend so the diet starts again on Monday when it's back to work.
