Sounds like every has been enjoying their hols which is a good thing! Welcome back bibs good to see you and congrats on losing another half stone!

We're away at the moment, in UK. The weather has been awful, we've all been ill with a mixture of upset stomachs and colds and I've eaten far too much crap! Can't see that I will have lost any weight at all as feel bloated and full all the time, even though we've walked miles. Meh.

Home on Wednesday then got just over two weeks to lose at least 2 stone a bit of weight before we go abroad. Although frankly as long as the weather is good and none of us get ill, I'm past caring what I look like in a bikini. I'll just be grateful not to get soaking wet every time we step outside the door and not to have to deal with unnatural amounts of snot and shit all day every day. Think we'll give the Great British Holiday a miss next year Grin

SmellTheGlove · 07/08/2017 09:46

notso most of that 10lbs will be water. I put on the same in New York in April and it was mostly gone after a couple of weeks of being reasonably controlled. Wench hope your weight in wasn't too upsetting! I'm in Cannes at the mo and been feeling not too bad in my bikini. I think that's mostly because I'm a stone less than I was last year when I was on holiday so I'm pleased I look better than that at least. I haven't been massively over eating - it's too bloody expensive for a start! But the extra ice creams and croissants will have pushed my calories up. Mostly eating in/picnics on the beach so not too bad really. It's funny, I find the thought of putting weight on so stressful that I'm worried it spoils my enjoyment of things sometimes. I think I am just too aware of how easily I can spiral out of control and binge. Definitely thinking about food too much - but then I've spent my life obsessed so unlikely to change now!

happypoobum · 07/08/2017 10:52

It's so hard isn't it, to find that happy medium between thinking, yay, it's the holidays, icecream and chips for everyone, and having a great old time, only to despise yourself when you get back on the scales. Then at the other end, what's the point of a holiday where you can't have a croissant or a glass of pinot?

Smell it sounds like you have it pitched about right, Cannes is great! Are you going to get the train round to Monte Carlo?

I weighed myself again today and am 11:5 Angry The problem is with all the family staying I am either eating out, or cooking "proper" meals so either way the calories are piling on. I don't feel like I can cook for them and do myself a stinky low calorie ready meal in the microwave.

Notsoskinnyminny · 09/08/2017 08:30

I hope you're right smell. I love the south of France, we've stayed in Antibes in the past and would see which train was coming first and decide then where to go but Cannes was so expensive.

Back to work tomorow so off out for final lunching and shopping day. Really should clean the house but it'll be dark when I'm going to and from work in a few weeks so I won't notice how grubby the windows are inside will I??

MillieMoodle · 10/08/2017 08:43

Notso I am having a house cleaning frenzy at the moment, I've got two weeks at home before we go away again and then as soon as we're back from our holiday, my mat leave ends and I'm back to work, so want to get the house sorted before I go back or it'll never get done! Fortunately DH is being helpful too.

Have got to cut down on the junk now, two weeks til we go away and I really could do with losing a few hundred pounds if possible.

SmellTheGlove · 11/08/2017 08:25

Back from Cannes and the sun is out! Not quite 32° as I'm used to but at least no rain (yet). I bravely weighed myself this morning and put on 3lbs which isn't too bad. We walked A LOT though (didn't hire a car to save money), I swear I know every bloody bus stop in the South of France now. Back logging on MFP today. DH bloody LOST 4lbs would you believe? I'm hoping that will encourage him to keep on losing a bit more though as he is quite chunky Grin. Can't believe there are still 3 more weeks of school holidays to fill up. I've run out of ideas and money..

Notsoskinnyminny · 12/08/2017 11:45

Well done smell. I've lost 1.5lb but haven't been trying and had lunch with friends a couple of times and have got a wedding tonight so will restart on Monday - I did buy salads and stuff on Tuesday but they're still in the bottom drawer of the fridge Blush

MillieMoodle · 13/08/2017 22:25

I'm still hanging around at the 11st 1lb mark which I'm happy with for now as have been eating far too much rubbish, although have been moving a lot too!

Am back to work at the start of September (boo Sad) so if I can at least maintain my current weight until then, my next goal is to be down to 10st 7lbs by October half term. That would then be a stone and a half lost in a year!

Wenchelda · 14/08/2017 19:34

Hello everyone ... can I come back please? My 7 weeks of hosting overseas visitors and complete overindulgence has come to an end and I really need to get back on the bandwagon. I was hovering around 9st 7-8ish at the end of June and today weighed myself at 9st 11.5. So although I'm not thrilled to have gained, I am not at all surprised and actually quite grateful that it's not more.

It's going to be very hard to get back in to the MFP habit and controlling calorie intake Confused

Notsoskinnyminny · 15/08/2017 19:18

Welcome back weight-twin, maybe this time we'll reach the elusive 9st. I've been back on salads for 2 days although we did have wine last night watching GoT and my regrading was confirmed today so DH says we should celebrate tonight because I'm having prep work for 2 crowns tomorrow and mightn't be able to eat/drink much until the proper ones are fitted next week.

Wenchelda · 15/08/2017 19:54

hi notso ... well done for sticking to salads for 2 days. Just the thought of it fills me with dread after so many weeks of treats! I've lost track of the thread ... what weight are you on now? I think you were beating me by a couple of pounds last time I checked in but I'm back up to 9st 11.5 now.

Notsoskinnyminny · 16/08/2017 18:58

I got to 9st 2 before we went away but came back 9st 13 thanks to Lucifer making it too hot to do anything other than sit and watch boats and drink beer Grin. I lost 1.5lbs but a couple of boozy lunches and 2 weddings pushed me back to 9st 12.5. Maybe if we get our act together we'll reach the elusive 9st before this Christmas. I'm better when I'm in work as there's less temptation and I have to plan what we're having for tea so fingers crossed.

Wenchelda · 16/08/2017 21:36

Oh so we're still more or less the same. I think I'm going to struggle to get back into it properly whilst the children are still off school so may have to make do with just maintaining current weight until the holidays are over and we can all get back into a proper routine!

MillieMoodle · 16/08/2017 22:29

That's my plan too wench!

Although haven't been that hungry this week really so haven't eaten much. Also haven't weighed myself either!

happypoobum · 19/08/2017 12:10

Hi everyone - checking in! Got back from Paris and am 11:6. One more week of overseas family visitors and then I will be back to my normal life.

I can't allow this to go on another week though so will try to rein it back in and lose maybe a pound this week. Then when everything is back to "normal" I would like to be 11:0 by end September which should be doable. Then 10 stone by Christmas yikes!!

MillieMoodle · 19/08/2017 13:16

Happy that sounds like a plan - I was doing ok but back up to 11st 5lbs yesterday, so I too shall aim for 11st by end of Sept, then I think 10st 7lbs by Halloween and 10st by Christmas. I haven't been 10st since before DS1 and he's 6 and a half! But we can do this. Definitely.

SmellTheGlove · 19/08/2017 18:27

It's much harder to avoid temptation in the holidays - too much hanging around at home or going places where there is cake! I have managed to lose 2 of the 3 holiday pounds so I'm pleased with that. I'm walking so much I'm surprised my legs haven't fallen off. DH is trying to lose weight now as well which helps as it's hard to resist yummy food if he's tucking in. It's quite funny trying to train him up on nutrition/calories etc - he hasn't got a bloody clue! The most annoying thing is that MFP allows him 500cals a day more than me Angry.

SmellTheGlove · 23/08/2017 07:51

Where is everyone?! Have we all given up utterly Grin. I've spent the past 2 weeks since I got back losing and gaining the same pound. Which is annoying. I just want to break this bloody stone (again). And for it to stay off!

MillieMoodle · 23/08/2017 08:07

I'm still here Smell. Just not watching what I eat until back from holiday next week (we go tomorrow...squeeee!). But will be back with a vengeance from the start of September! Grin

Notsoskinnyminny · 23/08/2017 10:41

I'm like you smell - 2lb off on Friday but back on Monday! It's DSs birthday at the weekend and then a last few lunches planned before the inset bingefest but I'll be back properly on 6th or maybe 11th Sept Grin

Have a great holiday millie

happypoobum · 23/08/2017 15:23

It's not going well......11:8 Angry

I have been shopping today and bought all healthy stuff, no biscuits or cake. I am really frustrated with myself and feel really bloated.

MillieMoodle · 23/08/2017 15:44

I'll be back around 1st Sept. Am also feeling big and bloated. But focusing on enjoying the next week or so. My mat leave finishes a week on Monday too Sad but at least when I'm at work I'll be too busy to snack.

Notsoskinnyminny · 26/08/2017 13:52

Can someone tell me how to socialise without involving food - just bumped into an old colleague and rather than clog up the pavement we went into a cafe and shared a toastie then a gigantic piece of cake washed down with 2 lattes Grin At this rate I'll start the new school year exactly where I was last year!

Wenchelda · 27/08/2017 09:10

Gah! Help me! 9st 13 this morning. I haven't been that heavy since February. Summer holidays and lack of restraint have seriously taken their toll Confused we are out for a family celebration meal today but as of tomorrow I am starting MFP again. It's going to be hard calorie counting and logging again but jeez I need to pull myself back in line. Aiming for 9st by Xmas which will give me a 2st loss since we started this.

Right, off to find something reasonably low cal for breakfast .....

MillieMoodle · 27/08/2017 11:45

Just checking in so the thread doesn't disappear from my 'threads I'm on' list.

Still on holiday and wishing I was about 2 stone lighter but enjoying the food and drink too much at the moment, and as it's all inclusive it's even harder to say no. Maybe my wobbly bits will look slightly better with a tan
