Sorry everyone has been having a bloaty/norty time Sad

If it's any consolation I will probably come back from my week away at least half a stone heavier. However, for now - I did it!! I am below 11 stone. Weighed in at 10:13. Naked, first thing, obviously.....

Ideally I would like to be 10:3 as that usually means I can fit into my size 10 clothes (5ft5)

My birthday is at end of September so am aiming to have reached my new goal by then, which I think is realistic.

Have a good week everyone and I will check back in with my tail between my thunder thigh legs next Sunday when I return from Portugal.

Notsoskinnyminny · 11/06/2017 09:19

WTF I've been under 1200 everyday except Friday when I had wine and had just over 1500 cals and this morning I'm 9st feckin 8 I'm starting to look like a soddin lettuce leaf and for what?????

happy have a great time and have a beer or 3 for me

PS the only saving grace is there isn't a slice of bread in the house or I'd be sat with a stack of buttery white toast instead of ranting here Grin

Wenchelda · 11/06/2017 12:59

Gah, Notso, that's so frustrating. Your week sounds similar to mine - good with calories all week but not the loss we were hoping for. What is going on? It just makes you want to reach for the junk food, doesn't it? Angry

Maybe our minimal calorie intake will take sudden and dramatic effect in the next few days resulting in many lbs lost by this time next week?

Notsoskinnyminny · 11/06/2017 16:53

God I hope so wench when I did my weekly measurements even my boobs have grown an inch - all DH could say was phwoar followed by a juvenile ditty about big jugs he got the look Grin

Notsoskinnyminny · 13/06/2017 07:11

So a week of eating salad, not 1 slice of bread, no butter or crisps and only going over 1200 cals on Friday and Sunday when I had wine and I've lost an amazing .25lb Confused

MillieMoodle · 13/06/2017 07:55

Aw Notso it's frustrating but at least the scales are going in the right direction!

Am down to 11st 3lbs this morning so feeling quite motivated. Only 4lbs to go to get back to pre-DS2 weight. I can do this. I also haven't done my 30 day shred for a few days Blush I gave blood yesterday so maybe some of the loss is because of that! Going to get back on the exercise tonight as it is making a difference and I need to keep going with it as I have so much more energy when I've been doing it.

Wenchelda · 13/06/2017 11:38

Ah don't give up Notso .. at least the scales are moving in the right direction and hopefully all your willpower will mean a more noticeable loss next week. I shall be doing my midweek weigh tomorrow so hoping for some movement but not been very motivated since Sunday's measly loss so won't expect too much. 2 weeks until my "deadline" and I don't think I've got a hope in hell of hitting 9st.

Wenchelda · 14/06/2017 09:34

Wtf? Midweek weigh in this morning and I've PUT ON a quarter of a lb Angryok I know I haven't been super strict but didn't think I'd been that bad either. It is totm so hoping some of it is down to that . At this rate I'll be lucky to stay at 9 and a half stone by the end of the month, never mind making it to 9 Confused

Notsoskinnyminny · 15/06/2017 07:11

It's so disheartening isn't it wench I succumbed to toast, wine and biscuits yesterday so need to rein myself back in before total who gives a feck mentality kicks in. Oh and the dress I thought I might be able to swap for a 12 has gone down £65 in the sale and I'm outside the return period Angry

Wenchelda · 15/06/2017 07:46

Oh yes the sod it mentality definitely took hold of me yesterday - was going ok and hand planned homemade burgers for tea - rest of family were having them in a bun with chip shop chips but I was going to be Halo and just have mine plain with salad. Until I smelt the chips. And my tummy was rumbling. So then I not only had a bun and chips, but also a can a cider AND an ice cream Blush Way over my cals yesterday and a lb up thanks to it all today Angry

MillieMoodle · 15/06/2017 14:32

Yesterday was a sod it day for me too. Was doing ok ish then DH suggested McDonald's for tea. Grr. Thought I'd be good and have chicken nuggets and a Coke Zero but actually ordered myself a quarter pounder and a chocolate milkshake. Aargh. Haven't done 30 day shred for days because

Notsoskinnyminny · 16/06/2017 07:37

Pre-weekend weigh in and 9st 6.5 but busy weekend - shopping and dinner with DD tonight, doggy meet up tomorrow and going to see Elton so there will be lots of Cake and beer. At least I'll get my 10k steps in today traipsing round the shops Grin

wench only a saint could turn down chippy chips.

millie my DH doesn't think about me wanting to eat earlier and sulks if I have mine by myself so it's not worth it and I wait until 8pm

MillieMoodle · 16/06/2017 08:56

Notso have a lovely weekend, it sounds like it'll be a good one! My DH is the same about food; gets the hump if I eat without him. He doesn't eat without me, but that's only cos he's waiting for me to get home and cook his dinner! He wasn't back too late last night but neither of us were really hungry so had a sandwich and some crisps for dinner. I ate too many rich tea biscuits mid afternoon though.

Had actimel, tea and cornflakes for breakfast. Have switched to skimmed milk instead of semi-skimmed - every little helps etc. Usually have lunch with DH on a Friday but he's out with work today so will have crackerbread and cottage cheese etc. Dinner will have to be the prawn stir fry we didn't have yesterday as I don't want to waste it and some of the veg is starting to look a bit ropey.

Wenchelda · 16/06/2017 11:26

Oh notso well done - 9st 6.5 is moving in the right direction! Sadly my scales are showing 9st 8.5 BlushAngryShock

if anyone has seen my willpower and motivation, please send it back to me asap.

Wenchelda · 18/06/2017 08:13

Where is everyone??

"Official" weigh in today and I am 9st 7 & 3/4 - so thankfully not the 9st 8.5 from midweek but still a quarter of a lb up from last Sunday Angry I seem to be stuck around this 9 and a half stone mark and really struggling to stay motivated when I'm only 2 weeks from my original deadline with no chance of getting to 9st so I think I sort of feel like what the point? Which I know is ridiculous because if I don't stick at it I will be piling the pounds back on all too easily.

Food today will be weetabix with banana for breakfast but later we are having a BBQ so will try to limit the carbs and jus stick to the meat and salad. So hard actually impossible to not partake in ice creams etc in this gorgeous weather!

SmellTheGlove · 18/06/2017 09:22

I'm here Wench ! I have had 2 weeks of watching the numbers go up on the scale but knowing that I hadn't overeaten, which was really pissy. I had taken Movicol and I'm pretty sure it caused water retention. So I am really proud that I KEPT GOING with sticking to my calories and doing my steps, even though it was doing nothing, and I weighed in today at 11.7 and three quarters. considering last week I was up to 11.11 I am very pleased. But it was very, very hard keeping on with it in the face of not losing. Just makes me want to give up completely. so I completely get the feeling of what's the point??? For me the willpower is completely coming from actually looking slimmer finally, and lots of people commenting on it, and me just REFUSING to gain that weight back. so I hope this will power stays as its pretty much a new thing for me! Out for lunch today for fathers day and even though I booked it I stupidly chose somewhere with no nutritional info and no diet options! and nothing gluten free either!

Wenchelda · 18/06/2017 12:19

Well done smell! That's a good loss and excellent will power to stick to something when you weren't seeing results for a while. I am slimmer but sadly only 2 people have noticed/commented on it which doesn't help - I think i would definitely feel more motivated if lots of people were noticing. Ah well, will keep plodding along with it. I just keep telling myself that losing slowly means it's more likely to stay off, rather than these fad diets that makes you lose loads in a week or 2 but then put it back on at the drop of a hat.

Beautiful day - enjoy the sunshine everyone x

MillieMoodle · 18/06/2017 12:46

I'm here too! Was down to 11st 2lbs yesterday but haven't weighed myself today. I'm sure I've expanded in the heat!

Well done wench and smell! It's satisfying when the scales go in the right direction.

I haven't been too bad, no snacking but my meals are still too big so I need to work on portion size.

Had a hot chocolate and a sausage sandwich for breakfast as we went out. Dinner will be a BBQ so will have lots of salad and hopefully not too much meat, plus a glass of wine. Not too bothered about lunch but might have a bag of crisps or something to keep me going!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and enjoying the beautiful weather.

happypoobum · 18/06/2017 12:57

Hi everyone I am back!!!

Had a fabulous time. Was quite good with food but very norty with the booze Blush

I have put on 3lbs and am now 11:2. It really could have been far worse so am not too upset.

To those who are "stuck" I think this happens to all of us at some point. I think I was stuck for about three weeks despite being mostly very good and then suddenly it started falling off again. It's just your bodies way of trying to hold onto the fat stores because it thinks you may need them.

Keep going!

Notsoskinnyminny · 18/06/2017 14:31

Well done smell

I was 9st 5.75 yesterday and thought woohoo but it was shortlived as I was 9st 7 this morning. millie I think Saturday should be our new official weigh in day as I'm always heavier on Sundays.

Good advice happy, can't believe you're back already.

wench we're not going to make our target but at least we're heading in the right direction Grin

MillieMoodle · 19/06/2017 19:14

Welcome back happy, hope you had a fabulous time.

Yes Notso I always seem to be heavier on a Sunday!

I feel like I'm melting in this heat, it's lovely that's it's warm but I have found it a bit much today! DS2 is struggling with the heat too.

Dominos for tea tonight Blush as I'm helping on DS1's school trip tomorrow and we have to be at school for 07.30!

MillieMoodle · 22/06/2017 06:44

Where is everyone?!

Haven't been too bad this week so far although haven't logged my steps with UP and haven't really logged any meals on mfp either. Hoping the weather cools down a bit as I need to get back to doing the 30 day shred but it's just too hot at the moment.

SmellTheGlove · 22/06/2017 07:28

millie one advantage of this heat is I think it makes me eat slightly less! My office was actually like a sauna yesterday. Maybe I actually sweated off the weight I lost this week? Hope not as I've been trying hard! Down half a pound this week so I'm happy with that.
happy 3 pounds holiday weight is nothing! It's probably already gone!

Wenchelda · 22/06/2017 09:28

The hot weather seems to be having the opposite effect on me and making me expand/weigh more Confused glad it's cooler today but I feel properly stuck in a rut and completely unmotivated to stick at this when scales aren't moving (or going the wrong way)

happypoobum · 22/06/2017 16:38

I'm here! Sorry came back to over 600 emails Angry

I did a weigh in yesterday and was 11:1 so have lost 2lbs of it already. Have been good so far today and will be good tomorrow. Am having lunch out with a friend tomorrow and she does insist on a pud but I will see if she will forsake it on my account!
