12 weeks to shape up and slim down..anyone with me?

So after another disastrous week on the diet front I am feeling pretty low. I hate the way I look, I feel so self conscious and generally feel pretty miserable. Despite this I just seem to be putting on more and more weight. I bought a new diet and exercise journal and it's a 12 week one so I was sitting here looking at the calendar and 12 weeks would basically take me to the start of the Summer and a few weeks before my birthday so I'm trying to convince myself that if I can stick to it once and for all I could make a big difference by then, ideally I'd like to lose 2 stone in that time.

So anyone else aiming to get slim for summer? What's the plan? Any tips, ideas, inspiration welcome...

By the way Harcombe really works for me and I used it v successfully after babies BUT it's hard! I could just about stick to it while off on Mat leave but day to day it's v hard

I had a terrible day yesterday. . I drank 1 shot of vodka and ate a small piece of fruit cake and a piece of chocolate.

Back on track today hopefully.

Hi everyone, just hopping on this thread as Im so desperate to loose weight and lack motivation. Before my pregnancy I was a petite size 8. Not sure of how heavy I was because it never bothered me, now 18 months down the line I weigh 11 stone 3 and yes it bothers me lots. I did the usual of buying sn exercise bike, getting the gillian Michaels dvd and I even went retro and mixed it up with a bit of rosemary conley. After two weeks of giving up sugar and counting those calories I have lost a massive one pound..... I just feel so big and lethargic. I have a total of zero motivation and to top it all off I got called fatty in the street last week. I have never had to diet before but that seems the easy part as the exercise is the bit thats killing me.... I desperately need to address it but don't know why I'm not loosing the weight.... sad times....

Right I'm joining you guys even though I'm a bit behind. Lost 1.5 stone last year with slimming workd quite quickly. Been faffing about since then staying the same and putting a pound on and off.

I going to do mfp but with slimming world as well if that makes sense so lots of speed food and will be aiming for lots of protein to keep me full.

I'm breastfeeding twins so that gives me some extra calories. Aiming to walk the school run more regularly, do park run once a week (mainly walk at at the moment) and shred dvd once a week. Have a holiday booked in august so will try and focus on that and the fact that I feel so uncomfortable.

Weighed in today at 12 st 6 and will weigh weekly.

Looking forward to staying motivated on this thread!

And harcombe really works but I find I put weight on v easily when I go awol from it. Trying to eat as much real food as I can and prefer to have proper butter and full fat yoghurt rather than all the low fat ones from slimming world.

I just need to stick to something I think. Will weigh every week at boots to keep me focused! Have a good monday everyone.

R3ally I have the merina coil and I am on another steroid drug for a health condition. I'm afraid it's one of those things as we get older Confused

Hi everyone... I've started the abs diet today which I used before. More gentle than Harcombe as it allows smoothies and fruit. Not weighing myself till Thursday as I have a bad habit of weighing myself every day and getting disillusioned. Good luck all!!!

MedusaMomma · 20/03/2017 20:53

I have just ordered the slimming world starter pack off ebay as I just don't have the time to go to my local group. I weigh myself every Tuesday but I don't think ive lost much. hopefully I can try and squeeze in more exercise this week. Hard to believe I used to go to the gym 3 times a week..... good luck to everyone

Hi everyone how are you all doing? I've had a bad week since I last reported in, take away Thursday, mac Donald's Saturday KFC on Monday and some cake and biscuits in between :-/ have weighed and not put any on so I am pleased about that just not lost any either! Getting so frustrated with myself now because even my own wedding is not enough to give me the willpower to stop eating rubbish!!! I really wanted to lose another 2 stone by June, that's a stone a month now I just can't really see that happening unless I can pull my willpower together! Tips anyone? I am still low carbing although I think I'm finding little cheats now which is not good :-/ need to go back to basics I think.
Those doing the harcombe diet can you remind me the basics please? I'm pretty sure there is an intestine first week period and then after that you can introduce more but not done it for quite some years so can't remember too much.

Hi to those who have joined and well done to those who have lost! Nice to hear some of you are struggling. Not because I want you too just because it's nice to know we are not alone struggling xx

Notts in the first week of Harcombe you can only eat meat and veg, eggs, no potatoes, bread, nothing with sugar, some probiotic yoghurt but no other dairy except butter.
