Welcome to a brand new shiny thread to help us all onwards and downwards through March.

Here's a link to the last February thread

Thank you, sausage and stellar! The green one is not done up the whole way at the back - it's about an inch from fastening. I am liking the green one best - it is Coast, silk chiffon and it is so nice and mermaidy. I have green high heeled espadrilles that go perfectly. It's also boned so I won't need a strapless bra. Wedding is not until 19th May so I reckon I can lose a stone by then and not look so squished. I'll need it taking up a bit though - am actually wearing the high heels in the pic and it's still trailing on the floor! Then I can wear the flowery one to DH's cousin's wedding in July. The May wedding will be quite bohemian so I think the maxi dress is more appropriate for that.

Parkrun this morning. Aiming to be semi golden today...

FreeNiki · 04/03/2017 21:41

I love the green mermaidy dress cheddar.

Can't keep up with the thread, it moves so fast.

I feel a bit shell shocked after yesterday. I went to a new circuit class yesterday that was for 55 minutes. The teacher was very enthusiastic and had us running on treadmills to warm up before class and then kept the class going for 1hr and a quarter and it was very heavy.

I had a body pump class booked an hour after that and I went thinking Id be ok. I was at the time but feeling the effects now....as if a bus has hit me.

I just sat in the jacuzzi at the gym today and chilled out. Have been bad and eaten some chocolate today.

Will have a weigh in on Monday or Tuesday.

Blimey Nikki that sounds hardcore. We're you fit to start with? Or has your fitness just increased by 1000%?

It's "Mad March" where I live, we have a huge Arts Festival, a fringe festival, a car race around the city streets, a book festival, film festival, blah blah blah all going on at the same time. So last night we, the family Archduke, all ventured forth and went to take a look around. It was great! The city which is usually a bit quiet and boring staid comes alive in March and is heaps of fun. We then went and had dinner at a country pub, on the way there we passed an outdoor wedding, so pretty, all white lights strung between towering gum trees on a warm summers evening, people drifting around in smart clothes and a band playing. It's so nice here sometimes.

At the pub I had a goats cheese tart, salad and 2 beers. DH and kids shovelled piles of chips and schnitzels in as fast as they possible could. Greedy sods.

No Ive never really been hugely fit. I could keep up in an aerobics class, ride a bike longish distance.

I was extremely unfit when I joined the gym last November but just kept chipping away at it slowly. I noticed an increase in fitness around end January.

In that class believe me I was not able to go full throttle for all of it.

I feel as if Ive been hit by a bus today. Sad

ArseyTussle · 05/03/2017 08:11

Morning all. Had a terrible day grub-wise yesterday. I can't speak of it. So today will have to be better!

Chardonnay73 · 05/03/2017 08:51

Morning! Maintaining over the weekend, then another push to lose 4lb to atone for the sins of Tenerife before I go!
Vile weather here today. Just waved my parents off at the airy where they are going on a Caribbean cruise and then onto Mephis to visit Graceland! So jealous, am a massive Elvis fan like my dad. So pleased he's going, he's wanted to go all his life.
Then got mil round for roast beef and repetitive conversation 🙄 Happy Sunday everyone!

Chardonnay73 · 05/03/2017 08:52

Airport and Memphis - ffs preview before you post Chard!! Blush

BitOutOfPractice · 05/03/2017 09:43

Morning. I seem to have got away with the excesses of Friday night and managed a golden day yesterday thanks in part to Chard talking me away from the booze.

Food all planned today and s longer run on the cards at the gym. Really want to get this last 2lbs off to be at goal before** I am lead astray on holiday

Morning - wow, some amazing stuff has been going on here. Hairspray, that is bloody fantastic about the size 12. Squiffy how lovely to see that green on the chart. And Cheddar those dresses are both gorgeous on. I have the same issue in that dresses often don't fit my large enormous knockers while fitting everywhere else.

I have been bouncing around my sub-11 stone mark. Yesterday I did a massive walk and skipped dinner (didn't intend to, just ran out of time and decided at 10pm that maybe a small snack instead of a big meal would be best). This morning I am only one precious Linda away from my initial goal. But I won't believe it till I see it for a few days, my scales are fickle little feckers.

Got today's food planned out - celery soup for lunch, dinner at my parents'. Should be a reasonably low-cal day, even with some extras in there.

ponygirlcurtis · 05/03/2017 10:19

Oh, and look at you, Miss Svelte BOOP! What a great feeling. Halo

FreeNiki · 05/03/2017 10:44

I tried on all my clothes that had got too tight. They fit nicely again.

BitOutOfPractice · 05/03/2017 10:46

Ooo pony it's looking good. But I know what you mean about the pickle scales.

Svelte is a great word isn't it. Apart from svengali I can't think of another word that starts with sv and svengali started out as a name

Morning all, I had some amazing food last night and some great gin. Now I'm sat in a spa, then having a cream tea at 1pm Blush

Dreading the scales in the morning!

BitOutOfPractice · 05/03/2017 11:50

Hello KOKO. I'm calorie counting and stick to 1200 calories a day. I walk 10,000 steps a day and run on the treadmill 4 times a week. Occasional spin class.

ponygirlcurtis · 05/03/2017 13:35

Fantastic Niki, all your hard work is paying off. Star

Fecking that all sounds amazing, you need to live it up sometimes.

keepon I have my MFP set for around 1,300 calories, I find that gives me more than enough to feel satisfied. It's psychological, as 1,200 felt too restricted, yet I usually come well under the 1.3k mark! I don't have much opportunity to exercise at all but try and get in 7k steps a day, most of which is achieved through my normal day at work/with the kids.

lastqueenofscotland · 05/03/2017 15:12

I have done my longest run for marathon training. I am dead.

lastqueenofscotland · 05/03/2017 15:13

Though too exhausted to go and buy more food so...

BitOutOfPractice · 05/03/2017 16:04

Oh well done Lasty. When is your marathon? Are you doing London?

OP posts:
FeckinCrutches · 05/03/2017 16:24

I start my half marathon training this week, can't wait!
Which one are you doing Last?

HairsprayBabe · 05/03/2017 17:23

Evening all, was too hungover to post this morning but I weighed in and I am 11.3 but I imagine that is mainly dehydration! What ever I am going to take it!
Still have not got a dress for Friday yet though 😱

lastqueenofscotland · 05/03/2017 18:27

I'm doing Manchester.... It's in four weeks Shock

ArseyTussle · 05/03/2017 19:19

NSV!!!!!! Bumped into a friend who said I was looking great and really skinny. And she didn't know I'd been dieting so it was totally genuine! Hoorah!

Obviously I'm not really skinny but it's SOOOOOOOO brill that someone has noticed I've lost weight. Smile

I'd love to do a marathon one day, good on you, the long distance hoofers.
