Hello all! It's been a while!

I've had a very naughty March which is why I haven't shown my face round these parts. But by some miracle I am down 3 Linda's. 8 to go.

I am going to be sooo good in April.

And Niki, nooooo! Doesn't matter if you were last, you still lap everyone on the couch!

Stellar67 · 30/03/2017 22:05

Sorry I'm waaay behind again.

Welcome new slenderistas.

Please please slendereasters! Thanks
BOOP!

Where is arsey?

Niki you are NOT a piece of garbage. You are amazing.

I did spin and yoga tonight. I've done yoga nearly every day this week. DH is home so I've been out at every opportunity.

I've also been golden.

Stellar67 · 30/03/2017 22:07

How are you quim? When is your dads funeral? BrewWineFlowerspick one, pick all.

BitOutOfPractice · 30/03/2017 22:13

niki nooo! Your gym efforts have been amazing. It doesn't matter if people are faster as long as you are doing it.

1.5 gain for me this week! I'm not as down about it as I normally would be. It's totally deserved and it's a new week and straight into a fast day. Going to do 5:2 for April and see how I go. Quite a social month but I guess with the 5:2 I won't be breaking will I it just won't be a fast day.

March -0.6lbs Hmm better than nothing I guess haha

BitOutOfPractice · 31/03/2017 07:09

Nikki when I was last but two in a race last year one of the organisers said to me that I should get a trophy because I'd been running far longer than the Ines who won! That's how I look st it now Grin

10st flat this morning. I've basically wiped out Februarys losses this month haha.
Head back in the game next month.

HairsprayBabe · 31/03/2017 08:04

Thank God! I thought I would have been banished once I was no longer losing... I too am deeply concerned about maintaining Quim another journey for me to embark on I guess...

11.1 for me again this morning, deeply annoying as I am only 1lb away from my 7lbs for the month, and some of you were convinced I would be in the 10s come April! Perhaps I will have a mighty woosh this evening and wake up 10.12.... I can dream!

TVHubbyClaire · 31/03/2017 09:43

My 16;8 has definitely worked but now the rest of my life seems to be getting in way of losing the next 3-5 lindas

Any suggestions on what to do for SlenderEaster month to give me a boost?

Seem to be at a plateau between 12st 11 and 12 st 13 , I do have a sweet tooth and I guess the 2 profiteroles with ice cream I had for dessert last night doesn't help........what's a nice sweet dessert to have after dinner which won't cancel out my efforts during the day?

HairsprayBabe · 31/03/2017 09:52

Cut out the sugar full stop TV the more you have it the more you will crave it!

Try an apple cored and baked with a pinch of cinnamon and a few raisins if you are desperate but I really think you need to break your sugar addiction!

Softpebbles · 31/03/2017 10:46

TV I'm another one with a terrible sweet tooth. Muller toffee yog or lemon satisfies me. I get they aren't good for you though!

So march loss 2.5lbs. I add th 0.5 as it flicked between the two weights for ages before resting on one! Rubbish but better than nothing. So 15lbs to go. I am aiming for 10st 4 which is a weight I've been happy at before.

April has challenges starting with a day and night away. Birthday and easter meaning time off of work.

Onwards and downwards.....

FreeNiki · 31/03/2017 11:23

It matters to me. The PT videod some of it and I look like a twat. Running last at the back.

HairsprayBabe · 31/03/2017 11:29

Niki You are so hard on yourself! Brew

Be kind to yourself it is very hard to be happy when someone is mean to you all the time! Flowers

You are doing amazing, don't give up!

BitOutOfPractice · 31/03/2017 11:30

You are always so incredibly hard on yourself Nikki. It makes me sad Sad

I have finally lost the holiday weight. Still 0.6llbs above lowest ever but I'll have to take that before a big weekend of boozing and drinking

Thanks hairspray i have never looked at what i thought was a sweet tooth as being a sugar addiction...a really good way to think about it and might make me more keen to do something.

I need to try and not look for something sweet after every meal.....

pebbles I will keep you updated as to how I get on Sad. It might be easier than we think Smile

HairsprayBabe · 31/03/2017 13:23

If you want to self diagnose TV

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 31/03/2017 13:36

2lbs down this month. Better than nothing! And tbh I am amazed because I fasted until dinner time yesterday and then ate crisps, dip and a Gu cheesecake pot. And a large ham sarnie.

Next month is going to be my month! Off on a hen weekend now, so will start afresh on Monday.

TVHubbyClaire · 31/03/2017 13:49

Hairspray ...thank you...this is what it says......"Sugar is a player in your life and so keep aware of what you eat. Remember, addictions start as small habits that spiral out of control. It never hurts to reduce sweets."

I can't argue with that

QuimReaper · 31/03/2017 14:03

Niki as the others have said, it's awfully sad that you give yourself such a hard time. I think it's amazing that you hammer away at the exercise so much when you're such a perfectionist, I'd have given up if I felt like you do about it.

Well, I have given up - would it make you feel better to race me? It'd better be a 100 yard dash, I'll collapse if I try anything more Grin

Have you ever, seriously, looked at a person exercising and thought they looked twattish? That's what I always ask myself when I feel self-conscious exercising. I'm full of admiration for you, as is everyone on this thread, it's only you who isn't Star

FreeNiki · 31/03/2017 14:04

I literally cant move today. My hips hurt. I have a massive bruise on my hip where the 5kg ball bounced back off the rebounder and hit me before I caught it.

I think maybe all this exercise is too much for me.

QuimReaper · 31/03/2017 14:06

Thank you Stellar, I'll take all three please Smile Dad has donated his body to medical research so we're just having a memorial on his birthday in the summer. I'm so pleased we don't have a funeral to contend with right away.

They're clearing out his stuff this weekend. I'm sending DH in my stead, I just can't face it. I feel totally pathetic for leaving all of the hard stuff to my mum and sister, I know it needs to be done and it probably isn't easy for them either. I'm such a coward.

FreeNiki · 31/03/2017 14:06

Thanks quimreaper. Cross post.

You are right Ive never looked at anyone and thought what a twat. Although the blokes outside the pub laughed at all of us! Grin

QuimReaper · 31/03/2017 14:10

Tv looking for sweet stuff after a meal is definitely a habit worth ditching, I know it's very hard when it's programmed in there. The thing with habits is, it takes a certain amount of doing them before they become a habit, so you need to make a concerted effort to spend that amount of time not doing them before new habits form. How about finishing your meals with a decaf coffee or something? Promise yourself you'll do that every weekday for two weeks, allow yourself puddings on the weekend, and I guarantee by week three after your meal you'll automatically start thinking about coffee instead of sweets. It's just a matter of programming.

Took me ages but I no longer even really think about wine on weeknights any more. That was a really hard nut to crack.

HairsprayBabe · 31/03/2017 14:21

Gosh I am a bossy boots!

Yes try and get out of that habit TV I am trying to crack the post work snack that I always seem to desperately need as soon as I get in the house.

Treated myself today, bought some Cacao nibs from GrapeTree and now I am trying not to eat them all!
