reaper thanks Smileyes I think SW because I had success before and it's not so restrictive - I hate restriction Grin
Yes bread is addictive in any form of goods, although I do try and substitute as much as I can, although not recently! I just have to get my head on I guess!

StewPots · 29/03/2017 13:17

Hairspray Thanks Smileyes I really love carbs in any form but also I developed a sweet tooth a few years back after being on mirtazapine and it's never really left me which sucks!

I'm dreading the scales tomorrow. Thinking worst case scenario so 15 stone +...I'm 5.6 Shock

StewPots · 29/03/2017 13:18

keepon thanks for the welcome too! Smile

QuimReaper · 29/03/2017 13:27

Claire it's an exercise DVD called The 30 Day Shred by Gillian off of that Fattest Loser show - it gets rave reviews on MN (and elsewhere), it combines resistance with cardio, the workouts are about 20 mins and there are three levels, you just do each level 10 times before moving up. The whole lot's available on YouTube.

It is really good but a bit rough on the old knees so I struggle a bit with it and have never made it past Level One Blush

A great easy way to work out for free at home though.

HairsprayBabe · 29/03/2017 13:29

Stew I was 15.3 in September and I am also 5.6
There is nothing that you cannot fix!

QuimReaper · 29/03/2017 13:30

Stew as Hairspray says don't freak out at the first weigh-in - now you've joined The Best Thread it'll go in no time Wink

I personally like to do my first weigh-in after a few good days to see the best result, to stop me getting demotivated!

StewPots · 29/03/2017 13:35

Reaper yes I used to get a right buzz when I'd had a great week, weigh and have lost...a fab feeling Grin
But tomorrow is my reality check and give myself a shock. I've been hiding my head in the sand for so long but now I'm ready! Smile

StewPots · 29/03/2017 13:37

haispray absolutely! I think finally seeing the weight in numbers will give me a real spur. And then I have a start point Smile

TVHubbyClaire · 29/03/2017 13:59

Thanks quim I may have to start by getting myself to the gym as I would get a few funny looks at home if i tried to do shred dvd.

I'm still hovering around the 12st 11 mark, wondering if I will ever get below 12st 10, only 3 Lindas but they are just not shifting.

Think I'm about to sign up for a 10k run in May so this might kick off some exercise.....

StewPots · 29/03/2017 14:27

The annoying thing is that my legs and bum have pretty much remained the same (hence why I can put on a size 16) but it's my tummy mainly - a size 18-20 trouser/ jean would be snug there but it's all baggy as hell everywhere else - honestly if I didn't have a round face and chubby arms up top I look about 8-9 months pregnant!

I wonder how much is water and how much is cheese WinkGrin

HairsprayBabe · 29/03/2017 14:45

The reason LCHF works for me is because cheese isn't forbidden. I would say cheese makes up a good 30% of my caloric intake! Probably more on some days!

What is for dinner all?
I was supposed to be having skinny cauliflower cheese but I don't know if I am in the mood for it now.....

lastqueenofscotland · 29/03/2017 15:19

I'm going out for a meal with friends to an Indian

Leaving city and all the rigmarole of saying bye to everyone is not conducive to weight loss

FreeNiki · 29/03/2017 15:30

The PT told me not to worry so much about weight. He has a point look at my boditrax results.

I am much more muscle than fat now.

Hello! We had African sweet potato and peanut curry. It was lovely

QuimReaper · 29/03/2017 22:44

That's fab FreeNiki! I'm confused though, are those the actual weights? Do human skeletons really only weigh 3kg?!

QuimReaper · 29/03/2017 22:45

Fast day here so just a pack of supermarket cooked chicken Blush It was really dry, I won't get that one again. DH had a lovely melty fish pie I made him, I was a tiny bit jealous...

FreeNiki · 29/03/2017 22:48

I have no.idea. Does seem too light!

FreeNiki · 29/03/2017 22:49

Ah it is bone mineral level and calcium apparently.

BitOutOfPractice · 29/03/2017 23:57

Mine says 3.2kg for bones.

Meal out wasn't a disaster and I'm still 10.1 phew!

readyforsunshine · 30/03/2017 07:58

boop that sounds delicious, am going to try to find a recipe. Fish pie is my ultimate comfort food quim not surprised you were envious!
Welcome stew hope the weigh in is not too traumatic! Good luck with your first daySmile
queen every time I see you write 10.1 it makes me think 'can't wait!'
Yesterday was banana oatbran porridge, lamb veg & pearl barley broth, then it went a bit tits up for Dds bday afternoon tea- pikelet with butter, 3 finger sands, piece bday cake. Later I had a bit of cheese & bics & glass wine. Aiming for a good day today & lots of water.

HairsprayBabe · 30/03/2017 08:00

According to google, the skeleton is around 15% of your total weight, so at 10st your skeleton would be 1st7lbs, apparently it changes as you lose weight, not sure why though!

11.1 this morning for me -6lbs for the month fingers crossed I can push on that extra lb or two before Saturday.

Should be a good start to April though, it is my first non social weekend since Christmas! Shock So hopefully I won't just pile on a load of lbs for a change!

I can really see my losses tailing off now, so I think I will really struggle to get any lower than 10st tbh!

BitOutOfPractice · 30/03/2017 08:23

ready I've tried to google a recipe but can't find the right one. I got it off a WW community board about 10 years ago and it's soooooo good.

Can you read this? I add more curry paste as I like it spicy and it should read 225g if button mushrooms, not 225!!

Morning ladies! Weighing in today for the first time in over 6 months! ShockShockShock
Last time I was 13st 10lb I think and it's piled on since then. I'm bracing myself, believe me...

I've always carried my spare tyre extra weight well, people were always shocked when I said what I weighed, but now it's not looking so good and it has to go!
