Welcome to a brand new shiny thread to help us all onwards and downwards through March.

Here's a link to the last February thread

Oh Quim, hope the wine helped a bit. It's such a horrible rollercoaster, grief.

Hairspray, hurray for seeing the elusive 10 stone marker! I'm sure it'll come back again soon. I read your thread too and thought you were somewhat unfairly maligned - people got a bit nasty! I disagree that 1200 is heaps, though - 1200 goes a surprisingly long way but you have to be very careful, and I think it's that care of weighing everything, never having a snack and never having a drink that I couldn't keep up forever. I reckon doing 1200 during the week and eating in a more relaxed way at weekends would be pretty sustainable, though. And I do disagree with the low carb mantra that it's a way of life - I have been there, tried that and I just can't do it. I can't give up toast, cake, pizza etc forever, so IMO it's better to come up with a maintenance plan that allows them in moderation.

10.11.5 AGAIN - weekend cancelled out my fasting and golden days, boo! This weekend's not going to be any better because it's my sister's hen do. Still, hopefully 2 fasts and 2 golden days will see me back on the right track. Then after the hen party I can settle into it and get more serious - wedding is only 7 weeks away! Must keep exercising. PB at timed bouncing on the trampoline yesterday - 15.22 seconds! This is 10 bounces as high as you can go - when I started I was on 12 seconds, and really really good people are on 19. I also cracked tuck back to seat (backwards somersault into a sitting position), which is much harder than it looks - if it's not controlled you crash in a heap.

HairsprayBabe · 27/03/2017 09:15

Cheddar
I am on 800-1000 in the week plus lowish carbs (still have lentils and pulses), and then don't really count at the weekends but I do try to avoid carbs. It sounds mad and extreme, but after the first week it just seems normal now. I think different diets work for different people it's about finding what works for you.

I am starting to think about maintenance now though, I have only ever really gained weight or lost it, never really stuck around the same weight for ages. So I guess that will be another challenge for me to tackle at some point....

lastqueenofscotland · 27/03/2017 09:55

I've woken up with the worst stomach trouble ever Blush

Might lose some weight though...

HairsprayBabe · 27/03/2017 12:20

Feel better soon! Brew Flowers

TVHubbyClaire · 27/03/2017 13:17

OMG...I am so stupid....

Mothers day late lunch yesterday ended up with some later drinks so not feeling at my sharpest this morning. Decided I needed a decent lunch so went to M&S. Picked up the lowest calorie wrap and really didnt fancy water so looked at smoothies, checked the label for a yogurt smoothie thing and saw 95cal. Thought I could double that up as a drink and dessert.

I have just finished the 500ml bottle and realised it was 95cal per 100ml!! How did I manage not to read it properly?? feel so stupid at "wasting" 400cal on a bloomin drink.....Blush

Wondering if I will ever get any closer to 12st??

readyforsunshine · 27/03/2017 13:30

Shame clare hope it was delicious & made you feel better, keep at the water for the rest of the day & you'll be back on track in no time.
Get well soon queen a friend of mine recently lost a load of weight due to tummy bug & I half jokingly suggested I might lick her looGrin
Yesterday was cinnamon oatbran, Vietnamese chicken salad, roast lamb w roast veg (no potatoes) & brocoli. There was also wine.
We have a guest staying for 10 days so I think I'll find it tricky but I really need to get more strict, especially re alcohol. It's so obvious when I'm writing it down

TVHubbyClaire · 27/03/2017 13:36

thanks sunshine .....it was ok, definitely not worth 400cal though. I need to get back on the dam wagon tomorrow and throw some exercise in for good measure. You are so right about things being obvious yet seemingly so difficult to follow...... I guess if it was easy then the NSVs wouldnt feel so good Grin

TWO WEEKS til America! I wonder if I can ditch the last kilo before then?

lasty I know tummy trouble is utterly utterly miserable but I bet everyone here is secretly envious of your impending effortless weight loss Grin

HairsprayBabe · 27/03/2017 19:22

Not doing well, making a gift hamper for a colleauges mother and I keep "tasting" things to check... I have no idea how much I have eaten Blush

Softpebbles · 27/03/2017 20:27

Hairspray. Your are doing amazing!

Had a good day grapefruit, apple grapes, lentil soup, two ryvita. Two strawberries.

THEN I got home. Tube of mini eggs gone. Ffs. I'd been suffering with bad cramps all day and I felt sorry for myself 😦

Dinner was mushroom risotto? Chicken and asparagus.

Aiming to just eat fruit tomorrow day. Is this achievable do you think?

readyforsunshine · 27/03/2017 22:06

koko I have quite a few friends that have found sw really successful, easy & flexible. I have to say I also can't get my head around how much is 'free' food. One friend has just won some slimmer of the year type prize after being overweight since her teens, she feels amazing.

QuimReaper · 27/03/2017 22:23

Isn't it only veg which is "free" on SW? Probably not, I only know what I've read on MN!

Soft I think you might feel a bit sick and hungry, I'd chuck a bit of protein in there. When you say fruit do you mean sweet fruit?

BitOutOfPractice · 27/03/2017 23:28

I'm stringing together the golden days. Lost 5.5 of my 7.3 holiday gain. Now I'm stuck. And pissed off

FreeNiki · 28/03/2017 02:49

I have a job interview this week. not ideal but if i get it at least it is work and i can afford holidays etc.

readyforsunshine · 28/03/2017 06:46

Maybe try a protein day boop? It's good for a shift on the scales (which is motivating!) & it's hard to overeat protein.
Good luck niki 🍀
quim you may be right but I think it's changed a bit from the old days.
Yesterday was wait for it, more cinnamon oatbran, tuna egg salad, iceberg wedge, salsa, yog, fajita style beef. 1 gingersnap. Managed to resist a drink even though the sun was shining & tempting me to a cold beer or glass of pink, hurray!

beforeihit30 · 28/03/2017 06:52

I know it's basically the end of the month but can I join? This group seem active and constant and I'm looking for some encouragement to keep going Smile

I have about a stone to lose but also trying to exercise regularly. If I count calories I can do well but I've been useless at it lately Confused hit a wall and have plateaued since January. My big issue is eating when hormonal through tiredness or stress. I can work long hours so that can happen often!

I'm getting better at work but still being too snacky at home. Trying to drink water regularly as I know it's more about keeping me occupied than actually being hungry.

Also did 30 day shred yesterday for first time Shock Trying to stick to that 6 days a week. First 5 minutes thought I wouldn't make it Grin but did manage to do the whole video in the end.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 28/03/2017 07:53

Hello, before, welcome!

So, no movement whatsoever on the scales this morning after FD yesterday, but, but, NSV: I am wearing a pair of Topshop size 10 culottes that I bought on EBay last year and have never worn because they were too tight! they are probably not real Topshop but I don't care I am therefore late for work because I spent rather a lot of time admiring myself and trying on different tops. I still don't fit in my size 38 Mango work trousers but they were always tight even when I was 10 stone. I still have a few skirts that are too tight to be comfortable, but my work wardrobe is gradually expanding once more!

HairsprayBabe · 28/03/2017 08:01

Good morning all.
Welcome to the best thread on MN Before or do you prefer Hit or 30? Grin Good to hop on before the end of the month then you really will be starting a fresh in April!

11.2 for me this morning, because I couldn't stop picking last night, fudge, crackers, cheese, gherkins, olives, chocolate buttons.... Silly girl, I am fasting again today, herbal tea's till the evening then a low carb shepherd's pie for dinner at 657 cals and that will be it!

TVHubbyClaire · 28/03/2017 08:15

Fruit and not alot else for me today until dinner. Will try to repair the damage done over the last 2 days

12st 12 this morning. Even with my bad few days I'm still only 3 Lindas away from best weight in a long time...won't happen in March so I guess it might in April Confused

Stellar67 · 28/03/2017 08:35

Morning, popping in quickly to say

1000 cals
Yoga

That's me, will catch up later as rushing out. Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 28/03/2017 08:47

Morning and a warm welcome before

Need suggestions for April thread title. My month has been a bit flat for weight loss what with a 7lb gain in the middle of it!

I'm travelling today and business dinner tonight. I've pre chosen and as it happens ready I have chosen a very meat protein based meal. I'll then have to avoid sauces, dessert and wine. So that'll be easy then Confused oh and avoid the service station snacks Shock

Hairspray I am always in awe of your self discipline!

HairsprayBabe · 28/03/2017 10:25

It is easy for me to not eat at work Lasty I don't take in any food or cash and I strategically sit away from the table with all the biscuits on it! It is as soon as I get home that the fridge calls and I end up nibbling and snacking if I don't have dinner earlyish and "close" the kitchen!

Are you feeling any better btw? Flowers
