Welcome to a brand new shiny thread to help us all onwards and downwards through March.

Here's a link to the last February thread

"Once checking"? After checking. You know what I mean.

BitOutOfPractice · 25/03/2017 12:27

Hairspray you'll be seeing that 10 stone something very soon. You've done brilliantly.

Quim I have to say that spin does make me feel like I'm near to collapse. It's bloody hard work. Every time I go I think "I don't want to be here! Why am I here? I hate this!" But of course afterwards I feel great

I hope so ladies (for a 10 something) but I really don't want to jinx it!

I can't link to the thread, I am on my phone, it got a bit brutal at points but it seems to have calmed down now, i'm not responding now though!

Soup would be a good one for lunch surely

BitOutOfPractice · 25/03/2017 17:38

Veg curry for dinner or a chicken curry served with cauliflower rice

Hairspray that is an amazing loss for the month! And for what it's worth I agree that 2000 calories is more than what the average sedentary woman needs Grin

KOKO I normally skip breakfast on a fast day, have a green salad or some soup for lunch, and save most of my calories so I can have a normal-ish dinner. I agree that veggie curry is a really good one. I also eat lots of stir-fries because you can just do a mountain of vegetable and some sort of protein, and any non-dieting members of the household can have it with noodles.

My fast day failed last night. I cracked last night while I was cooking dinner and started nibbling the ingredients, which unfortunately opened the floodgates. Then DP offered me a wine and I took it, but it went straight to my head because I hadn't eaten properly and I ended up shamefully drunk by 9pm. So when I got up early this morning to go to bodypump I felt distinctly peaky! I forced myself to go though, and I'm glad I did it. I will be very very surprised if I have lost anything this month though. I will be lucky not to have gained at this rate Confused

QuimReaper · 25/03/2017 19:06

koko definitely soup. I must admit to being lazy and using Covent Garden or Yorkshire Provender or just plain old tins when I'm calorie counting, as although the homemade stuff is bound to be better, it's such a faff to work out calories, especially when using any meat.

A hero meal of mine is a smoked haddock fillet, a poached egg and a huge pile of spinach. Total nursery food but remarkably rich and satisfying, and comes in under 200 calories.

I also really love the Lidl packs of fantail prawns. Somehow so much better than any other prawns. I just cover them in lemon juice and pepper and munch on them, 132 calories for the pack. I genuinely love them so much I sometimes do this on non fast days too! I am a prawn addict though.

Similarly the supermarket packs of roast chicken. I like to take the stress out of fast days by eating things with the calroies printed on the side, and add veg as needed.

I just did yoga today. I have my period so hoping for a woosh after it finishes. Lose some water weight that I tend to harbour.

Stellar67 · 26/03/2017 08:49

Sorry I've been AWOL.
I have, been yogi tribal dancing. It's amazing. I'm still a bit high.

Quim great meal tips.
Hairspray you ventured into AIBU? Yikes.

Sunny today. I'm going to enjoy it.

readyforsunshine · 26/03/2017 09:47

spuriouser cheap date Grin
stella sounds exotic, Zumba's only just taking off round here!
queen I can't wait to be 10.2 Grin sounds like a tough time ahead, I'd try lots of soup & eggs, quick & easy.
Yesterday was scrambled eggs 1 piece toast, tuna cuc & avo, sumac chicken & chopped green salad. 2 glasses of white wine, I know, I told myself I'm easing in gentlyHmm
Happy Mother's Day!

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 26/03/2017 11:36

creeping in, head held low

I was with you all back in October. Then November I went backwards by a stone. Lost half a stone since Christmas but resolutely stuck around 13st. Coming back with my tail between my legs in time for the April thread. You lot were so motivating last time. Take pity on me!

lastqueenofscotland · 26/03/2017 11:37

Ready I'm going to keep headings downwards by going to go easy on myself if the results aren't showing or a few bad choices sneak in!

Started the day with 6 mile run.

BitOutOfPractice · 26/03/2017 11:41

Same here keepon you just have to have a cold drink when the sun comes out. I may also have had a large handful of salted peanuts leftover from my cooking job. Looking forward to the garlicky roast lamb Dh & Ds are cooking, no doubt washed down with a glass of something delicious & red.

Stellar67 · 26/03/2017 18:32

Indeed koko. I've cracked open a sauv blanc. Just the one, it's a school night.

QuimReaper · 26/03/2017 23:48

BitOutOfPractice · 27/03/2017 07:08

Greetings all,
hope you all had lovely mother's days and were spoiled accordingly,
my mother banned me from my phone yesterday so I havn't had a chance to post.

Drank far too much wine and ate far too much cheese at the wedding so ended up tired and dehydrated 10.13 and 1/2 on Sunday morning was thrilled. Then we went out for brunch at frankie and bennies I had eggs and avocado followed by an order of pancakes split with DM. Then we saw Beauty and the Beast and I cried 3 times.

11.2 for me this morning, hoping a fast day knocks at least 1lb of that on the head.
