Hope you and your family are holding up ok Quim Flowers [tea] I am so sorry for your loss.

11.1 for me this morning, -6lbs and just over a week to go!.
I. MUST. NOT. OVEREAT. THIS. WEEKEND.

Squiffy That is an excellent loss, 5:2 is known for slower more long term weight loss so you are well on your way!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 24/03/2017 08:05

10.9.25!!!! Hurray! It's working!

Squiffy, that's great! Don't forget that if you're already dieting, you don't get such dramatic effects when changing to something new - you've already lost water weight/bloat etc.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 24/03/2017 09:39

I'm so sorry to hear that Quim Flowers

QuimReaper · 24/03/2017 10:07

Oh goodness, thank you so much for the outpouring of love guys, you are amazing. The news is only just starting to trickle out in real life so you lovely lot were some of the first people I've told oddly enough, so it's really touching to have you all rallying around me.

Squiffy are you mental, 2.4lbs in a single week is absolutely terrific!

And hooray for Cheddar, I am so proud of my apprentice! Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 24/03/2017 10:23

It's because we loves ya Quim Thanks

Ive lost 10lbs since Mid January so im averaging about 3lbs a month.

2.5 in a week and I'd be Grin

Flowers Quim

QuimReaper · 24/03/2017 10:54

Niki same here!

Also Squiffy, Cheddar makes an excellent point that although it's a new diet it isn't the start of dieting, so although it's hopefully given your body a kick up the jacksie it hasn't sent it into WTF-mode like it would have if you had been wining and dining seven nights a week until now.

TVHubbyClaire · 24/03/2017 10:58

Sincerest condolences QuimFlowers, a very difficult time for you and your family. Thinking of you this weekend....

with only a week to go this month I'm not sure I'm going to get below 12st 10, at least I'm not back in the dreaded 13 category. Big lunch out with wine planned for Sunday so hopefully well behaved tonight and tomorrow to make some room for the inevitable calorie excesses that Sunday will bring

QuimReaper · 24/03/2017 11:11

Hairspray you are so ending this month in the 10s.

sunshine I haven't heard of that site, is it good? I shall check it out, I am in sore need of some new Golden Day recipes...

HairsprayBabe · 24/03/2017 11:25

I hope so Quim but lets not hex it!
I have a wedding tomorrow and Mothers Day brunch at Frankie and Bennie's to get through before the end of the month!

Will have to have a golden week next week, with exercise! I am only going to the evening do for this wedding so will limit my trips to the buffet and stick to soft drinks like a bore!

Squiffy01 · 24/03/2017 12:19

I know, I know you guys are right as usual! I think you have it the nail on the head I got into my mind that would have a huge loss cause it's the first week but as you say it isn't the first week of dieting so if I thought about it properly that was never going to happen.
I have controlled myself so far with food today, normally after disappointing weigh in I think sod it and go and eat everything. So that's progress I guess.

Have to work out when to fast this week. DH wants to go tomorrow to some street feast thing (just what I need Angry ) and I have birthday dinner out with DH to favourite restaurant on Tuesday. So might try for Sunday and Thursday and see how I go.

BitOutOfPractice · 24/03/2017 13:24

I am going to a spin class. Tonight. A Friday.

I know Confused

I don't know what's come over me.

BOOP Shock
Is it really you? Tell us something only you would know!

I am going to MIL's for dinner, and I have no idea what I will be eating either fish or an omelette I assume as that is the only thing she ever cooks me Grin

Looking forwards to seeing BIL tonight he lives in Cardiff and has come home for the weekend to see his Mum, he is really good fun and always brings out the troublemaker in me!

readyforsunshine · 24/03/2017 14:26

Faved a look [quim] it's v user friendly & lots of things I'd like to eat. You can select by ingredient or diet, quick cook etc.
Sounds impressive [boop] I shall be mostly horizontal on the sofa consoling myself at the lack of a Friday night cocktail. Working this w/e, have fun the rest of you.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 24/03/2017 15:07

Boop that is true dedication!

I am doing a fast day today, but as dinner time rolls closer I can feel my motivation ebbing away...

I luurve you guys, do you know that? Specially Quim, Mentor Extraordinaire.

Am lightweight now. Well, drink-wise.

FreeNiki · 24/03/2017 23:14

I did body pump today. Very tough class.

MountainDweller · 25/03/2017 00:28

Oh Quim I have only just caught up. So sorry about your dad.
You are quite the hero round here, with everyone adopting your eating plan!

BOOP and Chard glad you had a lovely hol, I enjoyed the updates! Stylish hats, ladies!

Hairspray congrats on reaching 'healthy' even if you don't see it every day!

Well done cheddar and Squiffy and a few others I've missed, sorry am on the app and brain like a sieve.

cheddar I think it was you who asked, half a kilo is just over a pound. I'm sort of counting in both currencies! I've lost 5.6 kilos which is actually nearly a stone. I have to take my victories where I can! Unfortunately it is the first of many stones that need to go. I have a LOT to lose! I'm amazed that I managed to lose that much but disappointed the it really doesn't show! My loss has slowed down a lot but I am just going to KOKO as long as I am losing something.

We have steak and wine planned for the weekend!

HairsprayBabe · 25/03/2017 09:31

Morning 11st dead for me this morning so thats my -7lbs for the month!
I am keeping my fingers crossed for a little more before the end of the week!

readyforsunshine · 25/03/2017 10:40

Wow hairspray impressive! I see you stirred up a sit storm with your threadShock
mountain red wine & steak for me too. Am supposed to be off alcohol but Dh was late home & I weakened. I'm fine once I've eaten but if dinner is delayed I really want a drink!
Yesterday was cinnamon oatbran, Thai chicken lettuce wraps & steak & tomato & basil salad. I may also have had a ginger snap.

HairsprayBabe · 25/03/2017 11:21

Yeah didnt mean to do that it was supppsed to be light hearted and just genrally inquizitive but I forget that AIBU is full of raging harpys GrinBlush

Plus my tone never comes accross well

readyforsunshine · 25/03/2017 11:46

I thought you came across fine, you also got lots of congratsSmile

Squiffy01 · 25/03/2017 12:12

Ha yes hairspray I was reading that last night and having a giggle. People get so defensive and high and mighty on AIBU. I think most people are just bored and wanting to try and start fights.

I woke up at 11:30am SmileShock it best be cause I was exhausted and not because I'm coming down with something. Got vomited on yesterday by one of the girls I look after and then dad messages and the other one started this morning.
Better not be sick for my birthday next week!!!!

QuimReaper · 25/03/2017 12:19

Hairspray I want to see this thread! If you don't start April in the 10s I'll eat my hat. (Once checking its calorie content.)

koko I am so pleased to see you sounding positive and inspired, you were in a bit of a slump for a while there weren't you? I think half the battle is in the head!

Bloody well done on the 5.6kg Mountain and thank you Flowers I count in old money and New as well, whichever sounds more impressive at the time. For instance, I was very pleased to say I'd "lost a stone", but then a couple of weeks later I switched to "I've lost fifteen pounds" Grin
