I have no idea how much I weigh now. But af this week due means hopefully due a woosh.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 21/03/2017 17:40

Quim, I'm near Edinburgh. It hailed this afternoon and now is glorious sunshine but v cold!

Meeting ran late so had to buy sandwich as it was closest option and I was starving! Am currently on 616 with dinner still to come - I should come in comfortably under 1200 for golden day 1. What is everyone's definition of a golden day? Mine so far is sub-1200 calories.

I read somewhere that full-fat dairy doesn't make you gain weight. Is that true, does anyone know? If so, I can stop counting milk calories!

Stellar67 · 21/03/2017 17:43

What a day! Snow day but of course I have to get to my nearest school if I can't get in so child care sorted for dc1 and went in with the other dc to end up redoing a book cupboard (which was a mess). And not a word from my boss asking if I was alright.

Took my salad, avoided the cakes, snows almost vanished. Off tomorrow so spin it is.

Haven't weighed myself, mainly due to the distress from people here about seeing the scales.

I'll wait....

FreeNiki · 21/03/2017 17:55

Boditrax is working again.

7lbs in a month!!!!!

Yah I have lost 0.2kg or 0.44lbs since 1 March. Well at least it isnt a gain but even so all that hard gym work.

FreeNiki · 21/03/2017 17:57

BMI is still 25.1 so another 2 points to go. really must up the anti this week. I have been eating chocolate and other crap.

BitOutOfPractice · 21/03/2017 17:57

Cheddar I'm afraid you should still count dairy calories. Including milk. But full fat milk is still a healthy food. 4% fat I think.

I think what you're getting confused with is that skimmed milk has a slightly higher sugar content because it's slightly concentrated by the skimming process. But the sugar difference is really marginal (1% or something)

It's not that, BOOP - I'm sure I read a study where all the participants were given the same diet, but one group were also told to drink a glass of full-fat milk before every meal. There was zero impact on their weight, even though they were consuming more calories than the control group. Or at least, that's my recollection of the results, but I can't find it to check!

BitOutOfPractice · 21/03/2017 18:52

Really? That sounds odd

Squiffy01 · 21/03/2017 19:06

Sooo hungry.
On my way home to fajitas Smile
Yesterday was 1200 and something calories and today I am hopefully looking at less not having the hot chocolate tonight

Can anyone remember how many calories you need to be at to lose a pound I can't remember. Is it 3000 or something a week?

This is my most golden week of the year and so worried I'm not going to lose much which will just make me give up.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 21/03/2017 20:55

Golden day done - 1248 calories, and I Shredded before dinner!

Stay away from the wine KOKO!

Sorry you've had one of those days though Flowers Mine's been similar.

What's a Slimpod?

Squiffy01 · 21/03/2017 21:59

Today wasn't less than yesterday. Just under 1400 today. Was going great until a very large box for mainly lollies arrived from my mum for my birthday next week. Whyyyy must Australian things be so yummy.
I'm going to have to hide it, I want to get two good weeks of the 5:2 in to end March.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 22/03/2017 06:52

Squiffy they say 3000 calories to lose one pound, but I think it's all a bit more complicated than that really.

Managed my fast day yesterday, came in at just under 500 calories. Today I am aiming for 1500 and plenty of walking. I should brave a weigh-in at some point, but I need some golden days under my belt first!

ArseyTussle · 22/03/2017 07:32

Morning all. So, having dodged the scales and eaten badly for about a week I've lost 400g, which has taken me into the next stone bracket.

I've learned from this that when I feel all is lost and I may as well have that treat bag of Terry's Orange Segments (Blush), I need to remember that actually I've really overhauled my diet and I need to stay focussed on that. I'm not expressing it well, but I suppose I'm saying I need to stay out of the emotional rollercoaster blind eating zone and maintain some level of rational thinking. Then I'd remember I'm still doing 16:8 every day, and still running 4.5 miles on alternate days, and still not eating after dinner. So all isn't lost at all, really.

I'm still only 16.8 lb down from Jan, which is short of the 21lb I wanted by this Saturday's wedding. Grr.

BitOutOfPractice · 22/03/2017 07:39

But Arsey that's a brilliant weight loss. Nearly a stone and a half.

I think the trick is to think that despite falling off the wagon with five days of eating and drinking it is all going in a downwards direction and in a positive way overall if we stick to it.

I've had 2 golden 750 calorie days and managed to shift half the holiday weight. Chard reckons I'll lose it by the weekend so I'm taking that as a challenge Grin

Softpebbles · 22/03/2017 07:40

Well done Arsey. If you are running lots you'd have built up muscle which weighs more.

I'm a disaster. Started well lost two pounds and it's kept dropping but not official weigh in day. Today back to where I started. 11.7. I have had a bad week and I am totally drained but I am also so fecked off at my inability to not emotionally eat. Rahhhh

I am determined I do not want another summer where the majority of my clothes don't fit. I need to loose a stone - how hard can it bloody be 😣

TVHubbyClaire · 22/03/2017 07:46

BOOP where were you in tenerife, is it nice. we are booked to go in August and I'm a bit nervous about it. Its been 12 years+ since I was last on a sun package holiday[hmm)

Weighed in today at 12st 11, still down about 8 Lindas since I started on here but gettinmg below 12 10 is proving almost impossibleAngry

Nobody seems to notice I'm losing but on the other hand I'm having a few NSVs where 2 tops I bought since last fall and havent worn are now too big. is that a victory or a defeat given the waste of mnoney?

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 22/03/2017 07:48

Arsey, 16.8lbs is heaps in 3 months! And if you're running a lot too then I bet you look fabulous. Don't underestimate your achievement!

I am half a Linda lower than yesterday (still not back to last week's low point) but I am pleased because that marks the very first time I have lost anything not on a fast day! I am an enthusiastic convert to Golden Days! Oh, and I stuck to my golden day despite DH bringing home Eton Mess cookies, which I've never tried before and which looked delicious!

HairsprayBabe · 22/03/2017 08:10

Good Morning Slenderistas Grin

I am in a very good mood as I am back at 11.2 again - meaning my BMI is in the healthy zone. V pleased to be on that for mid week as it means I am not just going to ruin it will a blow out for at least 2 more days Grin

Wedding on Saturday (just the evening do) and off to the cinema with DM and my Aunt on Sunday, so I imagine the weekend may cause me some issues!

Arsey That is a FAB loss, don't be so negative when you have worked so hard!

-5lbs for the month and 9 days to go! Come on 7lbs!!!

BitOutOfPractice · 22/03/2017 08:24

TV we weren't really in a "naice" area tbh because we only really want bars and fun times when we are there. But I've been with the BF and Chard has been with her family and there are some lovely parts. Where abouts are you going?

OP posts:
ArseyTussle · 22/03/2017 09:07

Thanks all. Flowers

Yes, I'm considering the Canaries for the end of October, any suggestions? Somewhere with historical stuff to look at and nice places to eat. Doesn't have to be on the coast, won't be going to bars etc.

BitOutOfPractice · 22/03/2017 09:20

I have no idea. Can only recommend kareoke bars and restaurants Blush

TVHubbyClaire · 22/03/2017 09:23

BitOutOfPractice · 22/03/2017 09:35

Oh I've been there TV and it's lovely
