Welcome to a brand new shiny thread to help us all onwards and downwards through March.

Here's a link to the last February thread

Can I join in? I am looking to lose only half a stone, but blimey, it doesn't want to shift!

I'm not even technically overweight, but it's all on my backside and I look so much better when I'm 7lbs less than I am now. I hadn't appreciated how much metabolism drops off in your late 40s.

I'm proposing to do it by simply cutting back, as I need to adopt a slightly adjusted way of eating in the long term, to make sure it doesn't creep back on. I'd be glad of the support of following you all!

Squiffy01 · 19/03/2017 09:57

So yesterday was a complete disaster! We went out to Gourmet Burget Kitchen cause where we were going to go (and I had chosen a nice looking high calorie but could fit in the day meal) was too busy.
So now I was faced with being super hungry as hadn't had much to save up for the meal and a new delicious menu. I did think stuff it get back on it tomorrow one meal won't be too bad.
I get home and look up my burger and just the burger was over 1000 calories Blush Blush.
So ate a huge amount yesterday and am going to do my second fast day today to try and repair the damage.

Nothing more planned before weigh in on Friday so should be able to stick to it the rest of the week.

Do you think I should try and add in a third fast day to my week if I can manage it to try and make up for it?

ArseyTussle · 19/03/2017 10:33

Welcome Fozzley, good to have you and your backside with us. Grin

Squiffy, I'd just write that off and forget about it to be honest.

Stellar67 · 19/03/2017 11:26

Morning all, just.

Getting ready for Quims 2:2:3 week! Quite excited Hmm

Hope the holiday pair are quaffing away, no news is good news!

Well done hairspray! StarStarStarStarStar from me.

Squiffy I'm with arsey write that one off. Hope it was the best burger you've ever had!

Welcome Fozzley I've a long way to go but this thread is great support and has really made me think about what I eat too.

Quiet day here. I might go and buy the.... shhh... mail on Sunday. Really don't want to but the supplement has 5:2 recipes by Micheal Mosley. I'll burn the rest while doing a warrior dance.

FreeNiki · 19/03/2017 12:13

Squiffy there are times that I feel like just blowing the diet.

Hi Fozzey!

Couple of recipes I'd make.

I'll take some photos, there's puddings but they are 200 cals a serving. Not sure if any of us would be keen to use that many?

Stellar67 · 19/03/2017 13:23

Well it's been immense. Just heading off for the airport after 4 days of hedonistic kareoke-filled, alcohol fuelled, dancing till dawn fun and laughter. God it's been great. Already planning next year

Id forgotten how bad I was at skiing...

The food is excellent... Unfortunately

Stellar67 · 19/03/2017 18:34

BOOP and chard. Looking fab! I take it next year we are all invited?

Lasty enjoy. Get your sledge out. Grin

FreeNiki · 19/03/2017 19:27

Done it again snarfed a load of chocolate. I need reigning in.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 19/03/2017 20:23

Looking svelte over there, BOOP and Chard!

Right, 2:2:3 coming up! Fast days are ok - I know what I'm doing there. On the golden days, my plan is to have yoghurt plus piece of fruit for brekkie, soup or a salad for lunch, then healthy not-large dinner. That should easily be under 1200 calories. On Wednesdays when my trampoline class is from 7.15 to 8.45 I shall allow myself a banana first. I know it's not low-carb, but my last foray into LCD with BSD made my gut pretty unhappy so I don't really dare go very low-carb. And EXERCISE.

Squiffy01 · 19/03/2017 22:32

A shred before work is extreme cheddar wish I had that dedication.
I am so hungry. Came in at 546 calories today I'm still calling it a fast day. I'm going to be slightly relaxed for the first couple of weeks and say anything in the 500s is a fast day.
I'm all sore. Did the shred for the first time in over a year... I'm so unfit!
As we reach the 20s for March, I really don't think I'm going to make my goal of 4lbs off.

FreeNiki · 20/03/2017 01:32

I dont know how much ive lost as the boditrax doesn't work.

If the bathroom scale is.anything to go by it is about 2lbs. Sad

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 20/03/2017 06:00

Shred-before-work fail! Kept hitting Snooze.

Stellar67 · 20/03/2017 07:14

Morning. My first fast day.

Egg muffins and salad will be keeping me full. Along with water and coffee.

Hope everyone has golden Mondays.

Stellar67 · 20/03/2017 07:18

Well done squiffy. A fast on a Sunday! You are my hero.

Niki 2lbs is great well done!

Cheddar, wasn't meant to be. Wink

Stellar67 · 20/03/2017 07:19

Sorry for multiple posts. Quim, and Micheal Mosley say a fast can be up to 800 cals so you are well in range.

QuimReaper · 20/03/2017 10:58

I am so pleased people are now staring sentences with "Quim and Michael Mosely say..." Grin Move over MM, I'm coming for your throne! Is everyone doing FGFG (Fast-Golden-Fast-Golden) starting today? That's my usual pattern.

BOOP and Chard you both look TERRIFIC, very slinky and tanned an glamorous (no mean feat when wearing a novelty shamrock hat) and it sounds like you've had an absolute blast! Which of you is which? I'm guessing BOOP in the taller green hat and Chard with the yellow feathers.

QuimReaper · 20/03/2017 11:02

546 is definitely a fast day Squiffy, that's amazing work! And 5am Monday Morning Shredding was definitely not meant to be Cheddar, I will give you a real live trophy if you manage such a feat Grin I think a banana is a great idea, one thing that can really affect my resolve is trying to exercise without fuelling properly, it's so horrid when you just feel like you want to collapse, and it makes me a) lose my mind and eat half of Sainsbury's and b) really dread exercising again and find excuses to avoid it...

QuimReaper · 20/03/2017 11:03

Thank you all for your wishes for me and Dad. He's got a bit of a hospital infection which is very worrying obviously, but it sounds like they're on top of it and are still hoping for the best.
