Thoughts are with you quim xx

QuimReaper · 17/03/2017 18:02

Thank you all so much.

Last night they basically told us that all bets were off, and it was an extremely slim chance they'd ever be able to take him off the ventilator. But today all of his organs are functioning a bit better and he's on lowered doses of everything so things are really looking up! He's a long, long way from out of the woods but it's such a relief after yesterday to come out feeling positive. I've had a headache for literally five days and I'm so pleased to be feeling optimistic with a glass of Prosecco in my hand Smile

I feel strangely proud that a couple of you are taking on my eating pattern, I hope it works for you as well as it does for me! Don't worry about the fast day going a bit pear shaped koko, like I said it's important to experiment and find your feet, and to be honest I still class it as a "fast day" if I come in under 750 or so.

And yes, bloody kudos Squiffy for fasting on a Friday, you'll lose like a beast if you can keep it up on weekends too! I've only had six salmon rolls and a cup of coffee today (see Mortal Dread) but am cooking up a lovely crab risotto tonight and there will definitely be Prosecco in my bubble bath!

QuimReaper · 17/03/2017 18:03

...I've just realised that some strange people actually view Friday as a weekday Grin

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 17/03/2017 18:19

Wishing your dad best of luck, Quim! And I am going to adopt your 2 fasts plus 2 golden days next week!

Have Shredded and feel virtuous. Is the weekend for me too so have consumed pizza.

Softpebbles · 17/03/2017 18:37

Friday after 12 is the weekend! It ends Sunday at 10pm!! X

Stellar67 · 17/03/2017 19:17

🥂quim, glad dad is picking up.

Perhaps you need to © your fast/gold/enjoy regime.

I always thought this was the weekend, as my Sunday evening is generally getting ready for the week so I don't want to feel short changed.

Cheers 🥂

507 calories for today! Lucky we had no snacking food in the house or I would have caved.
Big eating day tomorrow though out to dinner.

Squiffy01 · 17/03/2017 20:11

koko I used one of the calculators that was posted above and it told me mine was 2022.
I put myself as lightly active cause one of the examples for lightly active was stairs instead of lift and walking a lot which I do.
And my Fitbit generally puts me at just over 2000 calories a day if I've just had a normal day with no exercise. I'm at 2300 today and that's with coming home early and reading and watching tv I've done 19000 steps today.

lastqueenofscotland · 17/03/2017 20:15

Quim take care of yourself.

Eaten a fair bit today but won't be able to eat much tomorrow so I'm stockpiling... Sort of.

HairsprayBabe · 18/03/2017 07:19

Greetings All!

Stop the Press, sound the trumpets, light the flares etc.

I have reached my first long term goal! 11.2 and a healthy BMI! Just under a stone to go now! I literally cannot stop grinning!

Well done!

Hope you're doing ok quim.

I had a wobble today, snarfed an entire bag of haribo. Blush

Softpebbles · 18/03/2017 19:31

Owning up to a big bag of pick and mix here Blush

Archduke · 18/03/2017 22:31

Hi all, Quim I hope your dad is comfortable and is being well looked after. A very difficult time for you, take care of yourself Flowers.

Love the pissed holiday updates Grin

Hairspray that is AMAZING! Well done you. Most excellent progress.

DH went off on Wednesday to Freemantle WA to start his bike race across Australia, after a few days hanging around with other nutters long distance bike packers he set off on Saturday morning and is now on day 2 of the race, currently crossing the WA wheat belt. If anyone is interested you can follow the race here indianpacificwheelrace.maprogress.com/#

I was full of nervous anxiety on Saturday morning which despite a mild hangover meant I got another Star PB Star at Parkrun, I'm now at 27:52.

Eating has been pretty good, although as I'm near my goal I can feel my resolve weaken. I have realised that I have no idea how to eat without putting on weight . . . I can loose weight and I can gain weight. I think the only way I can maintain is to be totally vigilant with weighing and do some fast days when necessary.

HairsprayBabe · 18/03/2017 23:28

Not sure I will still have a healthy BMI tomorrow, have had cake and fudge and bread and rice and pastry..... Blush

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 19/03/2017 08:17

Yay for a new PB, Archie! And your DH's race sounds like my idea of hell.

HairsprayBabe · 19/03/2017 09:21

11.3 so not to bad considering, plus I am pretty sure AF is going to arrive today or tomorrow at some point!

ArseyTussle · 19/03/2017 09:28

Hello runners, walkers, yogaistas and snarfers.

Hope today has brought a bit of stability for your dad Quim. Flowers

I've been off radar a bit due to working away and needing to eat at weird times. Anyway, back home now and a run done this morning. May not brave the scales til Tuesday.
