Here's a link to the last February thread

Oh Boop ! How frustrating!

The wedding I have tomorrow is a double buffet situation, I hope there is a salad bar! A drunk girl on a diet at an all you can eat buffet is a very dangerous combination!

QuimReaper · 09/03/2017 15:05

Hairspray you must admit defeat now, resistance is futile Grin In any case a drunk girl with only salad to soak it up is just as dangerous!

QuimReaper · 09/03/2017 15:06

BOOP was it at least super yummy?

The worst ones are when it's a sabotage and not even worth it...

BitOutOfPractice · 09/03/2017 16:05

Oh it was a "so not worth it" buffet Confused

I was starving though as the healthy breakfast I had brought with me was absolutely vile. Let me warn you: don't buy the M&S Strawberry Quinoa Yoghurt pot. It's really rank. I guess the clues were there though

Cheddar XX

I was made to plank yesterday for 30 seconds with 4kg on my back. Sounded easy. It was the longest 30 seconds of the session!

Naughtysausage · 09/03/2017 18:01

Bit late but BOOP and Hairspray 50lbs is bloody impressive! And strawberry quinoa sounds rank.

I have had two days where I've just wanted to eat everything. I've been ok. But really I need to get a handle on it. Hopefully it's a hormonal thing, but AF isn't due for a week and this can't go on that long! Is it just that the enthusiasm for a new month/new effort has passed?

Has anyone else been reading the weight loss priorities thread about weightlifting? I found it really interesting... made me look at bodybuilding.com!

Flowers for Monday Cheddar

Keep on my mum always told me you've got to eat to lose weight but make sure what you do eat is nutritionally valuable. I've also heard recently to eat protein at every meal when losing weight. Your metabolism is the key thing I guess and it's about what gets it's going. I'm not sure eating less is always the right approach. Slimming world seems to work and you can eat lots on that

QuimReaper · 09/03/2017 20:11

BOOP I could SWEAR I've heard you say that exact thing before, didn't you warn us off the exact same yoghurt like six weeks ago?!

QuimReaper · 09/03/2017 20:13

koko you'll lose weight doing that but heck, won't you starve? Sad I'd hate to see you go too extreme and sabotage yourself. I would stick to small amounts of protein bulked up with veg. I'm taking one boiled egg and a green smoothie; one white fish fillet and a pile of veg, etc. No bread, potatoes, fruit etc. and see how you go?

BitOutOfPractice · 09/03/2017 20:37

Quim my memory is shocking but I don't think I've even heard of this monstrosity before, let alone tried it. Unless my subconscious has blocked the trauma.

KOKO there is hope for you. Of course. You just need to get to that place in your head. You seem to be starting out expecting to fail. But you can do this. If I can you can. We are all right behind you.

Been much much better today!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 09/03/2017 22:09

Thanks for the flowers, guys - means a lot!

I have eaten much pizza and birthday cake. Fast day tomorrow! I did Shred and then spend 2 hours in soft play climbing and going down slides though - that must have burnt at least 10000 calories, no?

QuimReaper · 09/03/2017 22:42

Oh God I'm in danger of trawling back through them now, I am sure I remember someone saying the exact same thing! Maybe it was one of the old lot, Kiki or someone...

Archduke · 09/03/2017 22:51

I weighed myself this morning and am now down another 700gms so have officially lost over 10kg or just over 22lbs for those playing in old money.

I am astonished at myself. It has taken since November, so pretty much a whole Australian summer, with little food or booze and running.

Although I look and feel a billion times better, the stupid thing is I still do that thing of squishing my stomach and thinking how fat I am, which makes me feel miserable about myself. What mad behaviour. Why is my mood (at times) so tied up with whether I have a slightly squishy stomach or not FFS.

FreeNiki · 09/03/2017 23:31

My mood is at times tied up with whether Ive lost anything.

I seem to lose a bit and then stall. Down over 1kg beginning of last week then up 500g then stall.

It pisses me off. Why cant it be down down down down.

HairsprayBabe · 10/03/2017 06:39

Morning all,
Sorry to all those finding this month a tough one, I felt the same last month, had really slow losses but keep on your next loss could be just around the corner but it won't be if you give up!
11.3 for me this morning, -4 for the month so far and about one linda from a healthy BMI and my first LT goal!

Stellar67 · 10/03/2017 06:44

Quim and BOOP I also recall a discussion about M&S quinoa yoghurt. It reminded me that my experiments with quinoa never went well and it wasn't for me.

Well done arch! StarStarStarStarStar

I'm toying with the idea of a takeaway tonight. I'm just not wanting to cook. What can I have that's relatively low carb. I live rurally so no fancy pants deliveries here.

Squiffy01 · 10/03/2017 07:05

Down 100g today which is nothing but I'll take with all the crap I've been picking at.
Got Venice this weekend Grin pizza and pasta overload so expecting a gain next week.

How do you all tackle holidays? Do you try and keep on track? Do you off of plan but try and stay someone better than old eating habits or is it more of a sod it situation and eat whatever whenever?

HairsprayBabe · 10/03/2017 07:13

Liquid fast for a few days koko home made soup for lunch and dinner and a smoothie for breakfast?

Stellar Indian is a good low carb take away just have a main, no rice or naan, popadom are ok as they are made of chick pea flour so relativly low carb! Just dont have more than a few!

Squiffy I just try not to go totally mad so I'll try for an on plan breakky and lunch and won't be so good at dinner! Sometimes it works out well though because you might find something you really like the look of at dinner that happens to be on plan! If all else fails I stick to low carbs and ignore calories... I don't drink much though so it mighy be a factor
