Need to lose just over a stone. Anyone like to join me?

I'm just within the healthy weight range, but would love to lose 15lbs as that is where I felt best. Ideally I'd like to lose 1 lb per week, and be at my goal weight by Summer as we are planning a beachieve holiday - but mainly I just want to feel and look better as I haven't been taking care of myself lately. I will weigh myself every Sunday.
Today's weight: 9st4lbs (130lbs)
Goal weight: 8st3lbs (115lbs)
Lbs to go: 15

Anyone like to join?

littlemissM92 · 26/02/2017 20:44

Should we do Sunday or mon then we have a week from now

twobambinos · 26/02/2017 21:08

Can I join? Would like to lose a stone but half would do as well. Currently 9st 8. I'm going to eat porridge with Apple and cinnamon carefully weighed out for brekkie, soup salad or sandwich for lunch and cut right back on the sweets. I eat way too many of them.
Training for a half marathon next month so I'm covered on the exercise front

Thingsgettingstranger · 27/02/2017 07:03

Hi bambino, glad to have someone else, and your plan sounds great!

little I was thinking weigh day could be Sunday, as that's the end of the week and suits me well

Somehowsomewhere · 27/02/2017 07:05

Sunday weigh in suits me. I was 67.7kg yesterday (I bought my scales when living in Milan so they're in KG!), so aiming for 66 something next Sunday.

Gettingthere7 · 27/02/2017 07:08

Sunday suits me, although I weigh myself everyday to keep motivated (not how sure how well that works). I also vary a lot day to day so if I didn't do it everyday I might lose sight of a really low day and they give me a good boost.

I'm generally much better Monday to Friday as work stops me thinking about food so I stick to what I plan.

littlemissM92 · 27/02/2017 08:19

Xgettingthere7 I do that too and I also fluctuate through the day as much as like 3lbs then it puts me on a downer :(

Sunday is good for all to put on here then good luck everyone x

twobambinos · 27/02/2017 10:35

So far so good day. I know it's only 10am Grin

Flashinthepan · 27/02/2017 11:23

Hello. Can I join? I'm a healthy weight but have crept up to 10 stone 7 and would like to be about 9 st 7. Am 5' 8". I've been exercising a lot the past 3 weeks but struggle not to snack, even though my main diet is healthy and I don't eat huge portions.

My plan is: eggs or beans on homemade whole grain toast for breakfast.
Soup or healthy dinner leftovers for lunch.
Dinners tend to be be grilled or baked meat/fish with lots of vegetables and not always carbs, but usually potatoes if carbs.
Snacks will be fruit, carrot sticks, popchips or plain crackers.

Weigh in on Sunday sounds good to me. I fluctuate massively so also use measurements to gauge.

Mine are: Bust - 35"
Back - 28"
Waist - 26"
Hips - 39"
Thigh - 23"

littlemissM92 · 27/02/2017 12:45

Haha twobambinos me too! And welcome flashinthepan that sounds really healthy like a few of us it's the snacks u struggle with we can help eachother !

Thingsgettingstranger · 27/02/2017 18:00

Hi everyone! Today I've had:

  • banana
  • Pasta with chicken & big tub of salad
  • coffee
  • jacket potato, reduced salt and sugar basked beans, some cheese
  • another coffee
Also drank 1 litre water and exercised quite a bit. Feeling great!

Somehowsomewhere · 27/02/2017 18:05

I've had:

Boiled egg with slice of wholemeal toast and a slice of melon for breakfast

Bowl of homemade chicken and mushroom soup and rye bread for lunch (munched on a raw carrot while making soup!)

Dinner will be a pulled beef brisket wrap with shredded red cabbage, red onions and avocado (random combo, DH cooking!)

Have done 10k on the exercise bike

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 27/02/2017 18:09

Hello everyone, is it too late for me to join?

I am 10 stone 8 but would like to be 9 stone 6lbs. Pre kids I was always 9 stone 4 lbs..... my youngest is now 18! Blush

I do lots of exercise but that makes me hungry. I don't have a sweet tooth at all, but can't resist crisps. Last night I mamged to eat a large bag of peanuts whilst cooking dinner....

Today I have eaten:
2 eggs (breakfast)
Chicken and salad (lunch)

Am about to eat chicken with roasted veg for dinner.

It would be amazing to be under 10 stone by Easter, but potentially doable if I lay off the crisps and nuts.....

Gettingthere7 · 27/02/2017 18:15

Good day so far.
Cereal, banana, jacket with tuna and light mayo, Apple, chicken breast with pesto and mozerella, side salad and new potatoe salad. Water. All that comes to 1200 calories so need to find a few more Carolies before bed time to stick to 1500. I'm about to go swimming and I'll do 100 lengths of front crawl...and go in the sauna afterwards (top tip...I always record my lowest weekly weight on a Tuesday after a long sauna session on a Monday!) Hope everyone's Monday has been good.

Gettingthere7 · 27/02/2017 18:20

Ps I love pancake day :(. Does it have to be off the menu?

badhotfanny · 27/02/2017 18:27

Before I read the rest of the thread...

I HAVE to do this.

I'll write more later.

Bo1961 · 27/02/2017 18:32

Hiya can i join. Been dieting for the last 6 weeks by counting calories using app on phone. I've lost 8 lbs. Eating a lot of jacket potatoes. Any different ideas welcome 😁

whereiscaroline · 27/02/2017 18:33

So today, my first day on the bandwagon, was pretty good. Had handful of grapes, vegetable frittata and half a baked potato with a can of tuna and lots of salad. Bad news, I also had a slice of Victoria sponge at work.

I also went for a two mile run, and to yoga so maybe I'm net neutral today!

bo re baked potato alternatives, baked omelettes are great as you can get loads of veggies in and really filling, without carbs. Stuffed squash is good too or could try sweet potato as a change, I love baked sweet potato topped with feta and homemade pesto with a salad. And they all make leftovers which is handy for lunch.

Glad to see I'm not the only newbie today!

Thingsthatmakeugoummmm · 27/02/2017 20:23

Well done everyone.

I woke up feeling unwell so haven't had much of appetite (rarity for me!) and couldn't do my usual dance class 😓

I had porridge with blueberries for breakfast
Soup for lunch and quorn stir fry for dinner
Haven't fancied coffee so had water

littlemissM92 · 27/02/2017 20:31

30gram shredded wheat
Mid morn 2 satsuma
Lunch beans on 1 slice whole meal toast
Piece of homemade flapjack made with dates and no sugar apple and grapes

Tea Cheese pizza (I know I know let me down it's food shop night so needed something quick in hindsight could of had omelette ! )
On a plus I've done 10,100 steps :)

clematisflower · 27/02/2017 21:36

Hi All, can I join too please?
I've lost 11lb since September, now 10st 5lb (5ft 6). My initial target is to loose half a stone, so 9st 12lb which is roughly my pre dc weight (youngest is now 3).

Plan is:
Breakfast: porridge with fruit
Lunch: salad or soup or sandwich
Tea: usual family meals (no puds!)

I'm giving up chocolate for lent, which for me is big challenge, and will try and choose healthier snacks, but I know I can't give up biscuits and cakes completely as I'm a bit of a sugar addict.

Exercise: HIIT class once a week and 30 day shred four days a week. Walk and cycle to places as much as possible.

Let's do this Grin Grin

Thingsgettingstranger · 28/02/2017 06:59

Hi clematis! Congrats on the weight loss so far!

Today my plan is:

  • 1 slice toast, 2 poached eggs, 3 slices watermelon, coffee
  • Massive tub of salad with cooked chicken
  • Roast turkey joint, new potatoes, broccoli, carrots
  • Drink 1.5L water and exercise a fair bit

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday Smile
