I'm just within the healthy weight range, but would love to lose 15lbs as that is where I felt best. Ideally I'd like to lose 1 lb per week, and be at my goal weight by Summer as we are planning a beachieve holiday - but mainly I just want to feel and look better as I haven't been taking care of myself lately. I will weigh myself every Sunday.
Today's weight: 9st4lbs (130lbs)
Goal weight: 8st3lbs (115lbs)
Lbs to go: 15

Anyone like to join?

That gives me hope! I freaked out, I thought hey maybe I'm fatter than I think. Still it's good motivation!

Xoticdreamz · 08/03/2017 18:57

Oh not such a good day today .
9 st 5 still which is fine and fingers crossed I don't gain after a wee blip .
Went for breakfast and had
I thick slice toast , mashed peas , two poached eggs and goats cheese
Two coffees with milk
Packet of squares
Chicken tikka ( takeaway box from ASDA) and one onion banji ( sp)
I resisted any rice or nan but feel I have eaten far too much .
Fingers crossed it won't be too bad and back on it tomorrow.

clematisflower · 08/03/2017 21:11

flash my stomach does that too! I'm not convinced I'm going to reach a weight where there is no flab around my stomach. Does anyone know if exercises help?

getting I think Joe Wicks says ignore the scale and take photos of how you look instead, plus measurements. I guess do exercise you enjoy then it's much easier to be motivated to do it. Or is it diet more than exercise you struggle with motivation for?

OK day for me:
porridge with apple/cinnamon, feta and sweet potato salad, pear, apple, blueberry muffin, spag bol with spinach and cherries and yoghurt. 2 small biscuits. And one pilates class.

Gettingthere7 · 08/03/2017 22:05

Thanks for the advice guys, I'm probably going to sign up for a triathlon in the summer so I maintain the exercise side of things and don't put on everything I have left. Pretty good day today (with the exception of a couple cups of tea with sugar.

I won't be ditching the scales just yet though...

littlemissM92 · 09/03/2017 07:50

Just jumped on and I'm 1lb more off now .. woo

Flashinthepan · 09/03/2017 09:01

Well done littlemiss. I'm really struggling to shift anything. I'm hoping in Morocco without temptation from my chocolate and biscuit cupboard (even though I have been very good compared with the beginning of the year) things will start to shift. Also slightly hoping that all the exercise is building muscle/muscle is retaining water, hence the lack of loss.

Today's food is porridge with raisins; chicken, veg and rice; soup or pitta for dinner. Snacks are grapes and a banana.

I remember last year when I was trying to lose weight, it took me about 6 weeks of really good exercise and watching what I ate before the scale started to move so I'm trying to be patient and not get disheartened!

Flashinthepan · 09/03/2017 09:03

Oh and a 2 mile run and some form of Jillian DVD.

redpickle · 10/03/2017 09:07

I've had a really good week - sounds like lots of you have too! I'm still struggling to drink the water though. I've done lots of exercise and will be very miffed if I haven't lost.

DDs birthday tomorrow so I'm making the cake today. It's a chocolate cake that looks like a box of chocolates. MUST. STAY. STRONG

Flashinthepan · 10/03/2017 09:54

I'm back at 10.7. Measurements no difference. Nothing is happening! Why!

littlemissM92 · 10/03/2017 11:51

Don't know whether any of you have heard of this 'diet' but it's only eating during 8 hours of the day.. apparently it's meant to work obviously if your eating well in those hours! I wasn't keen because I am a huge breakfast person even if just cereal I like to have something but I'm surprised by how easy I'm coping I start my 2l water soon as I get to work (7.30) and then have lunch at 12ish and finish eating at half 7 seems to be working ??

Flashinthepan · 10/03/2017 12:57

I thought about doing it Littlemiss but DH works long hours often so I wouldn't get to eat until around 8, so no food until midday. Not sure I could do that!

clematisflower · 10/03/2017 21:03

I'm not sure I could do the 8 hour diet either. I need to eat as soon as I get up!

I had a good start to the week, but yesterday was pie and chips and today pizza/garlic bread for tea and I'm too tired to do my exercise dvd tonight. Back on my exercise tomorrow so hoping for an overall loss this week Smile

10 days without choc now for lent Grin

clematisflower · 12/03/2017 09:22

1lb off this week Grin, now 10lb 3.

Roasted veg and steak for tea tonight, yum. At a party for lunch, could be dangerous - maybe I'll eat beforehand...

PuddleglumtheMarshWiggle · 12/03/2017 09:48

Yesterday I had lost 1.5lbs. Today, due to dinner with friends, I have put 1lb back on! Am hoping this is just bloating with late night eating. Back to the gym and plenty of water this week.

redpickle · 12/03/2017 10:08

1.5lbs off this week - 9st 3.5 now. Having some dental surgery this week so hoping that will help get me to my first target 😂

Thingsgettingstranger · 12/03/2017 12:07

Well done clematis, puddle and pickle!! Smile That's great! Let's keep going!

I've maintained at 9,4 which isn't too bad considering how bad this week has been. Hoping to get 1 lb off this week.

littlemissM92 · 12/03/2017 13:03

Xoticdreamz · 13/03/2017 09:36

Well done on the weight off/ staying the same .
I'm back up to 9 stone 7, pissed off but my own fault.

littlemissM92 · 13/03/2017 10:39

1/2 lb off now at 9.10 1/4

clematisflower · 15/03/2017 20:42

Well done everyone losing/staying the same this week.

This week is going well for me so far. I need to up my water still though.

How's everyone else doing?

Flashinthepan · 16/03/2017 09:08

I'm still in Morocco so haven't been able to weigh. But have managed 2 workouts and hopefully.will fit one in tonight and one in tomorrow morning before leaving. Have abstained from alcohol apart from one glass.of champagne and half a glass of wine. Also been having only 2 real meals per day as each day the options for at least one meal have been unappetising! Clothes seem to fit better and I like what I see in the mirror better so hopefully scales or tape measure will.reflect that on Sunday!

littlemissM92 · 16/03/2017 09:30

Oh god I jumped on again this morn another 1/4 lb down I NEED to just weigh my self weekly but it's so tempting ! Full of cold this week so not massive appetite which is probably helping

Flashinthepan · 16/03/2017 12:00

Well done little miss but sorry about the cold. Sadly I never lose my appetite when I'm.ill, I just use it as an excuse to eat lots of cosy comforting food!

Flashinthepan · 18/03/2017 18:12

So back home now and weigh in tomorrow! Fingers crossed!

Flashinthepan · 19/03/2017 10:39

So 10 st 5. Another pound off. I was hoping to be down to 10 by Easter so fingers crossed but a pound a week seems reasonable at the moment. How's everyone getting on?
