I'm just within the healthy weight range, but would love to lose 15lbs as that is where I felt best. Ideally I'd like to lose 1 lb per week, and be at my goal weight by Summer as we are planning a beachieve holiday - but mainly I just want to feel and look better as I haven't been taking care of myself lately. I will weigh myself every Sunday.
Today's weight: 9st4lbs (130lbs)
Goal weight: 8st3lbs (115lbs)
Lbs to go: 15

Anyone like to join?

Today:

B: fruit salad
L: a banana (busy day)
D: cottage pie & veg

W: 1.5 liters
E: school run & 3 hours cleaning

PugwallsSummer · 09/06/2017 11:20

Hanging in there at 9st2 this morning. Happy to have maintained after a few big indulgences. 👍

Lovely doctor has increased my hypothyroid meds, so that should give me a bit more energy and kick my lazy metabolism up the arse. Fingers crossed...

Flashinthepan · 09/06/2017 11:52

Well done pug! Maintaining is better than gaining!

I'm going to weigh in on Sunday/Monday morning.
Have been hovering at 10st4 in the evenings though, despite time of the month starting yesterday, so feeling good.

Today:
B: greek yoghurt and stewed rhubarb
L: homemade cottage pie
D: homemade chicken tagine and flat breads
S: strawberries; apple; naughty slice (small one) of mojito cheesecake, which actually made me feel a bit sick.

E: 2 mile run.

Thingsgettingstranger · 09/06/2017 18:40

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been on for ages but not doing too well and feeling pretty down. Congratulations to every single one of you - reading this thread over I'm so happy for all of you.

I'm currently 9st 3 lbs. Trying again to lose weight without being obsessive or binging. Starting tomorrow, aiming to lose slowly but surely. Looking forward to talking to you all again.

Good to see you back stranger! 👋

robinia · 10/06/2017 01:29

sweet actually committing to the regime is the hardest bit I would say in the first couple of weeks. I would recommend keeping as busy as you can so you don't have the opportunity to eat. For me this especially applied in the evenings. I signed up for just about everything I could in order to get me off the sofa and out of the crisp packets. In terms of not being hungry I'd say I'm there now but I do have to be disciplined and not let habit send me to the biscuit tin when I'm at home in the evenings. The biggest incentive is seeing the weight come off and having so many people comment on the difference.
I do the same as you btw, nothing between about 9pm and 12 midday except water/squash and the very occasional piece of fruit.

robinia · 10/06/2017 01:31

But between midday and 9pm I don't calorie count, I eat pretty much what I want though I have got into the habit of restricting gluten a bit as it seems that what causes my bloating. So I shouldn't be actually hungry before bedtime and in the morning I never feel much like eating anyway.

Thingsgettingstranger · 11/06/2017 08:55

Hi everyone, still 9st3lbs and have the following planned for today:

  • 2 Weetabix, a banana and a coffee
  • A chicken sandwich on wholemeal bread, some veg sticks and an apple
  • Homemade veggie burgers on rolls, salad

9st 5lbs so 2lbs off which I'm happy with but I so need to keep going. Had a day/night out with the girls too and ate and drank far too much. I'm loaded with a stinking cold today so no exercise.

PugwallsSummer · 12/06/2017 10:15

Well done stranger and kitty! 👍

Flashinthepan · 12/06/2017 11:33

I'm still at 10 st 4. Determined to see 10 st 3 by the end of the week and kick start the next phase, to get below 10st! I'm determined to be 10st by the end of June. I was a bit lax over the weekend with booze and cheese as we stayed over with DB and SIL.

Welcome back Stranger!

Today:
B: banana and 4 strawberries
L: buffet (healthy stuff, salads, prawns etc)
D: baked potato with beans or tuna
S: probably nothing

E: 2 mile run, 1/2 mile walk, 1.15 mins yoga.

sweetkitty · 12/06/2017 17:19

Thanks
Don't even feel like eating today, I've been painting DD2s room so that will be loads of calories although no proper exercise today as the dog has pulled a muscle so I'm resting her.

B: none
L: toast and houmous, banana
D: Linda McCartney sausages chips and beans
S: 2 Oreos
E: none apart from painting

PugwallsSummer · 12/06/2017 18:02

Today:

B: fruit salad and decaf coffee
S: pear
L: wholemeal chicken sandwich, banana
D: Chicken & chorizo flatbreads, salad

W: 1.5 liters
E: school run

PugwallsSummer · 13/06/2017 22:30

Today:

B: weetabix with honey, a pear
S: satsuma
S: portion savory dried peas and nuts
D: fillet steak with leeks, French beans and savory rice, Greek yoghurt for dessert

W: 1.5 liters
E: walk around town & school run

Flashinthepan · 14/06/2017 08:58

Morning all. Had a stomach bug thing Monday/Tuesday. Unfortunately it did not rectify the terrible weight increase from cheese and booze and the weekend! Back to 10st6. Hoping some of it is water retention/muscle gain as my measurements are down and I've been exercising 5/6 times a week for weeks.

I think I need to realise I can't really overindulge until I'm much closer to my goal weight. Still hoping to see 10st3 by Sunday/Monday but back to 10st 4 would be ok and I could write last week off as a bad one.

Today:
B: greek yoghurt and strawberries
L: prawn, noodle and pak choi soup
D: spinach pasta
S: banana; apple; cherry toms

E: 2 mile run; JM 30 day shred

Lots of water!

Thingsgettingstranger · 14/06/2017 16:04

Hi everyone. It's that time of the month here and I am not feeling good, but trying to be good Grin

Sorry to hear you were ill Flash - fingers crossed that you see 10st 3 lbs this week!!

OP posts:
Flashinthepan · 15/06/2017 09:26

Thanks Stranger. Feeling much better.

Yesterday I stuck to it, even resisted salted caramel and chocolate cheesecake at work.

Today:
B: two eggs scrambled, one piece sourdough toast
L: half baked potato, beans
D: steak, crispy kale, garlic mushrooms
S: banana; strawberries; tomatoes

E: 2 mile walk; JM 30 day shred.

Saw someone on another weight loss thread say they were doing a "Julian MacDonald 30 day shred"! Think that would be a very different experience. Grin

PugwallsSummer · 16/06/2017 09:05

Gah! Still 9st 2!

Have had a couple of very indulgent weekends though due to celebrations and parties/get togethers, so I suppose I should be glad to have maintained.

Just really want to see the scales showing me 9st0!!!

Flashinthepan · 16/06/2017 10:53

I'm hovering between 10st 4 and 10st 5 so I've managed to mostly undo damage from the last couple of weekends.

Stick with it Pug and you will get there! I would like to see 10st 3 by Monday morning.

Yesterday didn't do JM but did do a 5k! In 28 min 30 ish secs. Doing park run on Saturday so hopefully can do another sub-30 min 5k.

Today:
B: greek yoghurt and strawberries; banana
L: sweet potato with feta, pesto and cherry toms
D: spinach pasta
S: banana

E: 1 mile run; 1 mile walk (taking it easy for park run tomorrow).

sweetkitty · 16/06/2017 18:55

Still full of the cold I ate my full 1800 cals yesterday not my diet 1300 as I was feeling so bad I thought the last thing my body needs is feeling hungry. Haven't done much exercise either apart from painting and I walked the dog today.

Flashinthepan · 17/06/2017 14:22

Sorry to hear you're still feeling rough kitty.

Did another 5 k under 30 mins today. 18 k I've run this week!

With the in laws this weekend so relaxed in the food front but not been too bad so far.

Flashinthepan · 19/06/2017 09:51

Weekend was not too indulgent! Although scales say I'm back at 10st 6! I think some of that is water weight in my muscles from all the running so I will stay good this week and hope to see a good shift this weekend.

Today:
B: manadarin slices and two eggs
L: greek salad and crusty bread
D: baked potato with tuna and salad
S: apple

E: 2.5 mile walk and 1.15 yoga.

Flashinthepan · 20/06/2017 11:08

Yoga last night was sweaty!

Today:
B: banana
L: tuna salad and noodles
D: Moroccan carrot salad with feta, spinach and lemon rice and lamb burgers
S: another banana

E: 2 mile run; poss. JM 30 Day Shred depending on heat

sweetkitty · 20/06/2017 17:59

I've lost 5lbs in 2 weeks delighted just hope I can keep it up

B: ready brek with soya milk
L: toast with houmous, kit Kat
D: Quorn Stir-fry
E: an hours dog walk
About 1200 cals

Finding it tough and feeling hungry a lot recently though

Flashinthepan · 20/06/2017 21:55

sweet well done! That's great. Can I suggest if you're struggling with hunger that you replace some of the calories from the carbs of oats and toast with more protein and vegetables, like eggs, crudités with the hummus etc. You can probably eat a lot more without the sugar/starch but for the same calories. Just a suggestion of course, no judgement as it's obviously working for you!
