Need to lose 2 stone (at least)

I have no idea how it's gotten this bad. I had a baby almost 7 months ago and I'm still 2 stone overweight. It's awful, I hardly have any pictures of me with my baby as I'm so disgustingly fat.
I have no time to exercise except walking with the pram so really it's just all down to eating.
I'm 5"4 and a size 12, ideally for my frame I should be a size 8/10 but would be happy to get back into my size 10 jeans.
Anyone else in a similar situation that would like to swap tips? My meal plan for tomorrow is;

Breakfast: Porridge with semi skimmed milk
Snack: Apple
Lunch: leek & potato soup
Snack: carrot sticks & hummus
Dinner: Beans on wholemeal toast with a small amount of cheese

I think that comes to around 1200 calories but sounds quite filling? I don't have time to make a better dinner as husband will be out and I also have my 2yo nephew to look after so thought that was the easiest, healthy thing to make.

So, I've maintained 9,4 which isn't too bad to say I've been so bad this week. Back on it tomorrow. This week is going to be my week! Going shopping on Wednesday so the next 3 days wI'll look like this:

  • apple, peanut butter
  • Wholemeal tuna sandwich, banana, veg sticks, maybe some hummus
  • tea (whatever I can find that is healthy and that we have in)

Then after that:

  • spinach, 2 poached eggs
  • apple/banana, almonds
  • Wholemeal tuna sandwich, veg sticks
  • healthy meals for tea

Hoping to get at least a pounday off this week!!

Thingsgettingstranger · 12/03/2017 17:08

will pound

D: huge portion of homemade stew & dumplings.

W: 3 litres
E: none

Feeling better today Smile

Been given the all clear to start exercising at my 6 week check up today!! Hopefully DH is going to set my running machine up so I can start building my cv back.

PugwallsSummer · 17/03/2017 10:42

Well done batch!

Weighed in at 9st11 this morning! Really happy with that! So a loss of 4Ib again. I guess it will slow down next week.

My next target is 9.7 so not too far to go. Ultimate goal is my pre-pregnancy weight of 8st7 so 19Ib to go until I get there...

IamRonnieBiggs · 17/03/2017 21:17

Do this week I weighed myself and joined weight watchers

Realised I have put 2 stone on in 2 years after vowing I would never do that again!

I think I didn't realise as my clothes haven't been that tight this time?!?

batch74 · 18/03/2017 11:42

Fantastic weight loss pugwalls!

So today's a menu is
B poached egg on 1 slice of toast
L salad wrap
D left over kofta curry
S fruit.

Exercise 30 mins on my exercise bike and squats, sit up and waist to exercises.

Think I'll end up being naughty today as I'm meeting friends in the pub for rugby Super Saturday - Got to keep the DH happy!!! Going to try and have a couple of slim line G&T's instead of my usual white wine.

BTW Jamie Oliver's 15 minutes beef kofta curry is fab - highly recommend it.

Have a great weekend everyone! X

Still the same weight that I was 4 weeks ago (11st 4) due to crappy eating - I've decided to give the 5:2 diet a go. Ate nothing all day then had tuna Nicoise followed by berries and Greek yoghurt for dinner. Not as hard as I thought it would be. Tomorrow will be sensible meals, no snacking. And I'll go for a run - I'm using the running for weightloss app.

PugwallsSummer · 22/03/2017 19:47

Good luck with the 5:2 duckie

Today:

B: weetabix with honey, a satsuma
L: 2 rice cakes with sugar free peanut butter, a banana

W: 2 litres
E: none

Duckiesprettycrazy · 22/03/2017 21:29

Thanks pugwall you are being so good Halo
Looking forward to my second fast day tomorrow and weigh in on Friday, am already feeling so much better and have lost a bit of bloat Smile

PugwallsSummer · 24/03/2017 21:13

Weighed in today: 9st10. Was a bit disappointed as wanted to be closer to 9st7.

As an incentive, I've bought some spring clothes in size 10. I am determined that they will fit me comfortably by the end of April (I can fit comfortably in a size 10 at around 9st).

Duckiesprettycrazy · 24/03/2017 21:30

Still a loss though pugwall so try not to be too disappointed x

I've lost 3lbs this week which I'm pleased with, I need to keep it up and hopefully the scales will say 10 something instead of 11 something this time next week!

PugwallsSummer · 25/03/2017 12:00

That's brilliant duckie! Well done 👍

mylongawaitedlife · 25/03/2017 19:22

Can I join? 5' 3" and 10 st, want to be 8 st, feel frumpy and gross.

Have been thinking over my old habits when at 8 stone, they were:

  1. Chill 1 litre bottle of tap water overnight, drink at least one of these on way to work
  2. Buy fruit on way to work, possible eat some, sometimes with skinny coffee
  3. Drink 2 litre bottle of water by midday
  4. Vegetable soup and ryvita for lunch
  5. 1/2 cups tea in the afternoon

Then, workout evenings would be banana + hour of intense cardio + 2 peaches, and 2 litres water + herbal tea.

Non workout evenings would be long fast walk + bowl of rice noodles, prawns, spring onions + herbal tea

Weekends would depend, I would typically use all calories for one evening meal or eating out.

Never had much alcohol. Said no to a lot of food and carried a bottle of water everywhere. Became better and better at it and looked better and better for it.

Back then I was happy.. Suffice it to say my diet/exercise looks nothing like this now.
