Need to lose 2 stone (at least)

fatmummy87 · 19/02/2017 20:26

I have no idea how it's gotten this bad. I had a baby almost 7 months ago and I'm still 2 stone overweight. It's awful, I hardly have any pictures of me with my baby as I'm so disgustingly fat.
I have no time to exercise except walking with the pram so really it's just all down to eating.
I'm 5"4 and a size 12, ideally for my frame I should be a size 8/10 but would be happy to get back into my size 10 jeans.
Anyone else in a similar situation that would like to swap tips? My meal plan for tomorrow is;

Breakfast: Porridge with semi skimmed milk
Snack: Apple
Lunch: leek & potato soup
Snack: carrot sticks & hummus
Dinner: Beans on wholemeal toast with a small amount of cheese

I think that comes to around 1200 calories but sounds quite filling? I don't have time to make a better dinner as husband will be out and I also have my 2yo nephew to look after so thought that was the easiest, healthy thing to make.

Seriously cut down on sugar yesterday and drank more water. Way more energy this morning!

fatmummy87 · 28/02/2017 07:51

My muscles are killing me today, really don't know if I will manage my work out Sad

Just did the level 1 workout again today so I at least did something. I know I shouldn't have but I weighed myself again and have lost another 2lb so that's 5lb all together 😊

Wow! fm87, That's a brilliant loss! Well done for doing the level 1 even though you were aching - you can do level 2 tomorrow if your muscles are up to it. 💪

FreshStart2017 · 28/02/2017 20:29

Well done mummy87

I've had a good day -
L - Ham salad sandwich, popcorn
D - Salmon, new potatoes, veg
S - 200g strawberries, 200g grapes, fredo
E - 30 mins on exercise bike.

PugwallsSummer · 28/02/2017 21:03

Today:

Breakfast - weetabix with SS milk & small drizzle honey, a pear

Lunch - skipped lunch as out and about & lost track of time

Dinner - skipped dinner as had slice of chocolate cake made by friend

Snack - fresh pineapple

Not my healthiest day!

TomHardyswife · 28/02/2017 21:30

Okay I'll try again...

Hi everyone! Smile

Just checked in to see how everyone is doing. Gearing up for sugar free March starting tomorrow!

I'm also going to try and get my head into weightwatchers seeing as I am paying for the membership but I am going to try the No Count approach and see if that works better for me.

fatmummy87 · 28/02/2017 22:00

Hi tomhardyswife! Missed your previous post, there's so many of us. Maybe we should have a stats page.
You should get no added sugar peanut butter, I use it and can't taste the difference now. Aldi do one without palm oil as well.

fatmummy87 · 28/02/2017 22:28

Plan for tomorrow..

B: toast & peanut butter
L: oatcakes, cheese & apple
D: piri piri chicken with veg
S: clementines
E: Chris Powell level 2

Copying you with the letters freshstart Smile

Yesterday was an utter mess food wise so hoping today will be better,

FreshStart2017 · 01/03/2017 11:55

Good luck for today Dartmoor

I've just prepared my egg salad lunch so I can grab it out the fridge once I've walked the dogs. Planning on 5 miles so I'll be starving once I get back home.

D - vegetable soup, 2 slices of bread.
S- not thought about them yet.

FreshStart2017 · 01/03/2017 13:52

Only did 4 miles (I miscalculated the route) Smile

fatmummy87 · 01/03/2017 13:57

Good day so far. Did my level two workout and have had my breakfast and lunch. No snacks so far and just about to go out for a walk as it's a lovely day.

4 miles is good fresh start Smile

FreshStart2017 · 01/03/2017 14:27

It's lovely here too, where I stay there is country lanes which we call "long line" and they all attach to each other depending what one you choose. Last week I took a new one and it added a extra 3 miles onto my usual walk lol so did 6 miles in total but on that route I passed by a farm house and got barked and chased by 4 farm dogs Shock it was a nice walk until that but I'm not going that way again as I'm not risking my dogs being chased.

Batch74 · 01/03/2017 17:08

Well I've started on the slim fast diet on Monday. So today I've had:
B slim fast
L slim fast
S fruit
D cold roast beef, salad and a roasted sweet potato with a bit of goats cheese.

Been to Drs today, I'm ok to drive but still no exercise till my 6 week check up! Do SMR even go for a walk today as DS only allowed me 3 hours intermittent sleep!😴

Looking forward to my weigh in on Friday! But only 3 stone to lose!! 😫

Duckiesprettycrazy · 01/03/2017 19:30

You are all so good! I have had a crap few days and can't stop eating. Help me get back on track!!

TomHardyswife · 01/03/2017 19:49

Hi again,

Don't worry I can see this is a really busy thread...😊

Well Day one of sugar free detox nearly done. This is the time where I struggle so will need to have lots of willpower to get through the evening. I've just made some chocolate chia seed puddings which are in the fridge for tomorrow as the chia seeds swell overnight and so end up like tapioca... And are quite yummy. I've also bought some Naked Bars to have with me for the times I meet up for a costa with a friend and will be saying no to s muffin.

I should do some exercise tonight but I really struggle to do anything exercise DVD or gym wise after lunchtime! Sounds silly but I really hate the way I feel at the moment I just can't bear to try and squeeze myself into my gym gear. Anyone else the same? I'm going to have a look at your Chris Powell Workouts you mention.

I need to decide what to do about my WW subscription! I can't really do WW whilst doing a sugar detox! Unless I just go to be weighed and ignore the fact I am not really following the diet!

Regarding peanut butter... Do you mean the Meridian ones? They are to die for! I just can't risk buying a tub!

Here's my food for today

B ended up skipping as I took my son to the doctors and then ended up having to go straight down to the blood clinic. Held my resolve and wasn't tempted in the slightest by the goodies in the vending machine!

L. On way back from hospital and treated myself and son to a subway before taking him back to school. Ended up ordering a subway melt salad bowl. Ranch dressing was the only thing that bent the rules but there wasn't a huge amount.

D. Beef casserole with couscous

Snacks. A peach. A Naked Bar. Handful of Toasted pumpkin nuts.

Bought 24 bottles of mineral water and challenging myself to drinking 4 a day.

FreshStart2017 · 01/03/2017 19:50

I allow myself one day where I don't count calories, it means I can look forward to eating lovely salted caramel cheesecake with cream on a monday night lol. The rest of the week I stick to my calories as losing the weight and fitting back into my favourite jeans is my motivation.

Take it easy Batch, your little one is only 4 weeks. How is Slimfast? Does it keep you full?

Batch74 · 01/03/2017 20:19

Hi Freshstart, I personally like Slimfast although it's not for everyone. I did it years ago after DS1 was born as I put on a lot of weight when pregnant (both times I've been pregnant I put on a whopping 5 stone!!Shock)
I follow it reasonably strictly but I don't calorie count my evening meal (just have a normal meal with the rest of family) and I'm never hungry on it. I actually find it really easy as the shakes only take a few seconds to make - a good thing with a 9 year and 4 week old!!
I've also been trying to get out walking with the pram which helps but I am looking forward to trying to use the exercise bike which is currently being utilised as a cloths airer!! Wink

PugwallsSummer · 01/03/2017 20:59

Everyone is being really good!

My day:

B: 2 pancakes with banana & honey (didn't have any yesterday)
L: whole meal sandwich with cream cheese and pastrami
D: chilli and rice
E: uphill walk for school run

No snacks today. Not enough fruit or veg either!

I am in awe of you ladies that are exercising. I just can't motivate myself yet!

PugwallsSummer · 01/03/2017 21:00

Whoops, just remembered I had a bit of Nutella on my pancakes too. Never mind!

scorpio1981 · 01/03/2017 21:07

I came out of hospital after having my son and could only fit into my husband's jeans. It was so bloody depressing so I just cut out all the 'beige' food. No bread, pasta, rice, cakes, crisps; in fact nothing made of wheat/sugar. I ate all the dairy, meat, fish, fruit, vet and some nuts and without even noticing my weight fell. After 8 weeks I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I also pushed the pram and walked the dog everywhere, and around here that means up and down lots of hills. With that and swimming, the weight just went. It is possible but you really, really have to work at it.

toffeeboffin · 02/03/2017 00:50

Everyone is doing so well!

Not done much exercise as it's been throwing it down today, ugh.

Been having three meals a day, trying not to have snacks unless desperate. Here's my food for today, sorry to bore people!

B. Porridge, loads of coffee
L. Big chicken and feta salad, oily dressing, small veg soup
D. Chicken with bacon and veg in a mustard sauce, sweet potato mash.

Lots of water.

No idea of total calories but reckon it's about 1600.

Made a bolognaise sauce for tomorrow, lasagne for DH and DS, I will have a jacket spud with the bolog sauce instead.

toffeeboffin · 02/03/2017 00:52

Scorpio, sorry to ask, how much weight did you lose in the eight weeks? I've basically been doing what you did for six weeks and have lost about two pounds! Need to lose 30Hmm

That's fab to lose so quickly Smile

TomHardyswife · 02/03/2017 07:15

Scorpio

I'm basically attempting what you did
I'm hoping for similar results. Up bright and early today considering its my day off. Sat here having a cuppa and planning out my meals for today...

B 2 boiled eggs chopped up in a cup with a knob of real butter and salt and pepper ( as my mum used to make when I was ill but proper comfort food and very filling!)

L subway salad bowl as will be on the run again!

D I'm making quorn meatballs and will be dusting off my spiraliser and making courgetti.

Snacks. Chia seed chocolate pudding. Strawberries and kiwi fruit. Toasted pumpkin seeds.

Exercise. Got a busy day with appointments spread out throughout the day so going to get a shower and put my gym clothes on and I will make a promise to myself to squeeze a workout in today.

Note to myself... Keep away from the peanut butter when I am in Tescos!
Drink my 4 bottles water!

Have a good day everyone!
