Need to lose 2 stone (at least)

fatmummy87 · 19/02/2017 20:26

I have no idea how it's gotten this bad. I had a baby almost 7 months ago and I'm still 2 stone overweight. It's awful, I hardly have any pictures of me with my baby as I'm so disgustingly fat.
I have no time to exercise except walking with the pram so really it's just all down to eating.
I'm 5"4 and a size 12, ideally for my frame I should be a size 8/10 but would be happy to get back into my size 10 jeans.
Anyone else in a similar situation that would like to swap tips? My meal plan for tomorrow is;

Breakfast: Porridge with semi skimmed milk
Snack: Apple
Lunch: leek & potato soup
Snack: carrot sticks & hummus
Dinner: Beans on wholemeal toast with a small amount of cheese

I think that comes to around 1200 calories but sounds quite filling? I don't have time to make a better dinner as husband will be out and I also have my 2yo nephew to look after so thought that was the easiest, healthy thing to make.

Doing better today, banana for breakfast (washed down with 4 cups of coffee!) and a cheese omelette with cucumber for lunch, just started on my water! Also done a nice long dog walk which was either hard work (pushing chair with toddler and carrying baby) or chasing after said toddler!

fatmummy87 · 02/03/2017 11:59

Today is:

B: 2 oatcakes, cheese & apple
L: 2 boiled eggs in a cup with toast
D: sloppy joes in wholewheat wrap
S: Melon
E: Chris Powell level 2 workout

Haven't had a chance to read everyone's updates yet.

FreshStart2017 · 02/03/2017 14:35

So far I did a 4.6 mile dog walk! I need new shoes tho because the soles of my feet were killing me.

L - Ham salad sandwich, popcorn
D - WW meal with extra veg
S - not sure yet.

Thingsgettingstranger · 02/03/2017 16:00

Hey everyone. I've been bad he past few days and am kind of down at the moment, but will start again tomorrow. I'm impressed with everyone and their eating plans, mine always goes bad it seems. I'll today too, so not the best week for me.

nessus · 02/03/2017 16:23

Really tough to adhere to in our society but simply eradicating sugar from your diet will have the pounds falling off you. Cut down on cards but no need to cut out all carbs. It's the sugar you need to rid the system of.

fatmummy87 · 02/03/2017 19:51

nessus that's what I'm trying to do now except natural sugar in fruit etc of course. Hopefully it keeps working!

stranger start again fresh tomorrow, you can do it Smile

freshstart defo get yourself some good walking shoes, you don't want to end up hurting yourself and putting yourself back.

dartmoor I hear you, the other day walking home with my 2yo nephew up a steep hill he wanted picked up, good work out though!

scorpio go you, that's amazing. I lost the first stone in the first week then the second stone over the next month or so but this last one won't shift as easily and I wanted to be a stone lighter than I was before I got pregnant anyway.

tomhardyswife are the naked bars nice? I saw them today when out shopping.

Tomorrow:

B: usual 2 oatcakes, cheese & apple
L: left over sloppy joe meat & toast
D: stir fry- chicken, egg noodles, butternut squash spirals, peppers & onions
S: melon / clementines
E: level 2 Chris Powell

Weigh in day tomorrow eek!!

PugwallsSummer · 02/03/2017 21:25

Today:

B: weetabix with SS milk & a drizzle of honey, a satsuma
L: wholemeal sandwich with cream cheese & pastrami
D: Roast chicken dinner
S: fresh pineapple
E: walked school run with DD2 in sling

Weigh in day tomorrow! At last weigh in I was 10st 4.6. My first target is to get under 10st.

stranger - don't worry about having a bad day, and don't put pressure on yourself. As fm87 said, aim for a fresh start tomorrow. I struggle to eat well when I feel down too xx

fatmummy87 · 03/03/2017 08:21

No weight lost since my weigh in earlier this week Sad So 3lbs last week and 2lbs this week. Was really hoping to lose another pound, I've been so good!

batch74 · 03/03/2017 08:43

Slim fast going well so far - lost 4lb this week!! Don't feel tired - well no more than I normally do with my 4 week old not sleeping well!! 😂
Today it's going to be:
B slimfast
L hubby taking me for pub for lunch so I'll try and choose something reasonably good for me!
D slimfast
S fruit.

I need to be eating more fruit so I may a piece with every slimfast as well as for snacks.

Here's hoping I have willpower at the pub today!!!

PugwallsSummer · 03/03/2017 10:27

Sad no loss for me either fm87! I don't understand it! Was so hoping to get closer to the 10st mark this week.

I always go out for "Friday lunch club" on a Friday and treat myself to something nice, but I feel like I don't deserve it this week now, even though I've been good!

PugwallsSummer · 03/03/2017 10:28

Well done batch! 4Ib loss is amazing! Smile

fatmummy87 · 03/03/2017 10:45

Well done batch!!

There's always next week for us pugwall.

I've had my breakfast and done my exercise, no snacks so far. The melon needs used up today so I will defo have it at some point.

FreshStart2017 · 03/03/2017 11:43

Well done Batch

I'm sure the scales will show good results next week for you two.

I had a wee sneak peak even tho monday is my WI day and it showed a 1lb gain Shock, I've been so good even tho pancakes with nutella/strawberries/cream had been calling my name.

PugwallsSummer · 03/03/2017 12:23

I'm at Friday lunch club and have ordered a bacon sandwich and sweet potato fries. Decided I would still have my treat as I haven't been bad this week, despite the gain.

Thingsgettingstranger · 03/03/2017 15:52

I've stayed on track today and am very proud of myself!
Breakfast was just a banana, lunch was a ham sandwich on 2 slices wholemeal bread (no butter) and a black coffee. Tea is going to be wholewheat pasta with homemade bolognese sauce (reduced fat mince, chopped tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic, onion, herbs, puree).

Done some exercise and will do some more later. Water intake is 750ml so far. Hoping to double that by tonight.

Hope everyone else is doing good.

toffeeboffin · 03/03/2017 18:52

Hope everyone's having a good evening.

Pugwall, that bacon sandwich and sweet potato fries sounds right up my street! Sweet pot fries are my fave.

I've had baked sweet potato, feta and salad for lunch, very nice. Had the oven on last night so baked a load of normal potatoes and sweet ones too. Will have them for lunches with lots of veg.

Dinner will be leftovers as I can't be bothered to cook again tonight.

Trying to stay on track but this bloody weight seems to be taking a while to lose.

But, I keep thinking if I only need 1500 to maintain my current weight, and I eat 1500, it's gonna be a while till this two stones is gone! Been hard to get out for walks this week as it's been hooting it down.

Read the 5:2 threads a bit the other night, might give that a go. Seems a bit hard-core though, 500 cals per day. Could do 800 I reckon.

PugwallsSummer · 03/03/2017 22:00

Well done stranger! :)

toffee - it was an amazing lunch, I must admit. The sweet potato fries were lush! Apparently you can buy really nice frozen ones in Aldi...

Today:

B: banana and nectarine
L: white bread bacon sandwich and sweet potato fries
D: homemade Katsu curry
S: nectarine
E: a walk around town with pram

I need to drink more water, I'm really not drinking enough at all and when I do have a drink it tends to be coffee, which obviously isn't the best choice for staying hydrated. So my aim next week is to drink a litre of water a day and cut down on coffee.

fatmummy87 · 04/03/2017 10:02

Morning all. I've had a cold brewing for days and woke this morning feeling terrible Sad my throat is agony.

I've had porridge for breakfast & managed my work out, slightly half arsed but I finished it at least.

L: cheese & ham sandwich
D: no idea yet..
S: clementines

My dh is away for the weekend and what I really want to do is have pizza & ice-cream for dinner in front of a movie once ds goes down at 7. I know I shouldn't though.

Thingsgettingstranger · 04/03/2017 10:20

Hi everyone, I'm feeling amazing today. Breakfast was a banana and a coffee, and I've just been for a 3 mile run. Lunch will be a tuna sandwich on wholemeal bread withe some salad, and tea is homemade turkey casserole with potatoes and lots of veg. Will also drink at least 1.5 L water. Hope everyone else is enjoying their day.

IamRonnieBiggs · 04/03/2017 10:33

Can I join - Facebook reminded me when I was excruciating/walking serious amounts 2 years ago
Now I do very little

Am going on exercise bike tonight and serious diet from Monday starts

Breakfast is my let down - I'm starving/nauseous at same time and hard to eat something healthy

FreshStart2017 · 04/03/2017 10:34

Yesterday I ate
L - Ham, salad, cheese spread, crusty roll. 2 Salt and Vinegar snack a jacks.
D - Chicken breast, 1 garlic bread slice, 100g salt and pepper wedges, loads of salad.
S - popcorn, 200g strawberries, 2 satsumas.

Today the DC's have asked to go to a new ice-cream shop that has opened up so I don't know whether to stay strong and think of fitting in my favourite jeans or have a ice-cream Grin, I've not planned my lunch and dinner yet.

Usually I manage 2L of water as I fill up a bottle and I make sure I drink it but yesterday I didn't and had too many cans of diet juice so I need to stop that habit of drinking juice and always make sure my water bottle is full in the fridge.

FreshStart2017 · 04/03/2017 10:37

Welcome Ronnie, I can never eat breakfast so at least that way I can save my calories for a bigger meal or extra snacks Grin

batch74 · 04/03/2017 11:12

Hope you feel better soon fat mummy. X

I didn't do too well yesterday I went to the pub for lunch. I ended up having fish and chips. I wanted to choose something 'good' but most meals were all £17 upwards!! Hence I chose the cheapest thing on the menu at £14. Tight fisted I know but I think that's a lot of money for lunch. They didn't have a bar menu - won't be going there again!! I then went and spoilt it more and had a glass of wine!!
Well back to being good today. I'm going to try and drink more water today - realised I'm drinking very little. Have a nice weekend everyone!!

PugwallsSummer · 04/03/2017 21:11

Today:

Brunch: scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast

Snack: half of a macadamia and coconut Paleo bar

And that's it. Have been so busy with the children and various household chores/ food shopping. Only just got DD1 to bed and now it's far too late to contemplate cooking tea. Feeling mighty harassed and pretty pee'd off this evening. So much for weekends being about relaxing! Hmm

Still haven't drank enough either!

Thingsgettingstranger · 05/03/2017 14:56

Weighed in this morning and have lost a pound even though I haven't been good this week! That means I've lost 9lbs altogether and have 14 to go! Todays been good. Banana and coffee this morning (this will probably remain my breakfast from now on), omelette and crusty bread for lunch, tea is salmon & potatoes & veg. Water intake is 1.4 L so far. 5 mile run done as well as light weights. Couldn't be happier or feel any better Smile I hope everyone else is good today.
