Hello,

I've mentioned this on a couple of other threads but I hope you don't mind if I start my own thread as I have 2 really important goals this year and want to tackle them both, together.

This morning, I am 14 stone exactly. I'm 5'1' and have never even had kids! (I'm 33). I gave up booze 2 years ago so now time to tackle the cake/takeaway habit. If I lose 2lbs a month, I can be 10 stone in time for (hopefully!) going to Wimbledon this year.

I have taken some "before" shots of myself nekkid in the mirror and entered my weight on fitbit. And am stocking up on healthy food (low GI type idea). I also have a wee stepper machine in the living room so I need to get on that.

RE the debt - long story short this was due to slight overspending mounting up and then being out of work for a while. It's partly overdraft, rest credit card. I should be able to pay this off if I just stop filling my trolley with things I don't need, esp in Tesco. And if I stop buying clothes/random crap. So Lidl it is, going forward! I probably won't clear the lot but if I could get it under 5k that would be great.

So here we go any followers and support is much appreciated.

I wish you luck in whatever goals you have for yourself!

I look forward to Boxing Day 2017 when I should be slim, healthy and financially sound.

WE CAN DO THIS!

That's a good mental attitude, Rowgtc.

What is your goal?

It's only just over 4 months until the beginning of December ie party season. I have a couple of nice dresses I'd like to get back into. 10-11 stone would do it.

Well done!
Good to see inch loss as well as weight loss .

Everything going in the right direction and you sound like you're in a good place about it too!

Had a week with visiting relatives and its been interesting. They don't eat any processed food, and make it look easy. They only eat when hungry which has killed me as I've always had set mealtimes. They drink water. I'm trying the water thing as it seems the easiest!

My goal? We go to Cornwall every year and every time I say I'll weigh 13st. Never been less than 14 7. This will be the last Cornwall for a while, it's just too expensive. I'll weigh 13 st by the time I go October half term. This ones for me ☺

Maybe if your saving money is going as well as your weight loss you could have a new dress in a smaller size☺

Rowgtfc72 · 29/07/2017 07:46

They're smiley faces honest!Grin

ChickenVindaloo2 · 03/08/2017 19:32

Hey Rowgtfc!

That sounds a good goal. October isn't far now...I can already feel it getting darker at nights now.

2 weeks since I last posted and I have now turned 34 years old. The weight is continuing to come off steadily. I was 12 stone 8 this morning. I'm continuing the gym visits and am definitely into a good routine food-wise. Counselling is starting to tail off.

I'd like to start 2018 at 9 stone something...ie 9 stone 13.5 probably!

My trousers are definitely baggy/loose/falling down. Will actually need to get new work trousers as I'm going to look silly quite soon. Nice problem to have. Will just get cheap ones as hopefully I won't be in them long anyway.

I look forward to throwing out my fat-lady tunic tops too.

12st 8. I'd love to weigh that! Well done.

Distinct lack of enthusiasm here over the summer holidays as Dd has snacks that I keep stealing.

Need to get back into good habits. I do have a wardrobe full of stuff that doesn't fit though (too big) and am thinking if i bin them instead of assuming I will fit back in them I'm on to a winner. The fat lady tunic tops? They're a thing aren't they. I've got them but sometimes I'm actually wearing a t shirt now as I've lost the rubber ring round my middleGrin

Hadn't given Jan 1st a thought too be honest. Less than I weighed this January would be good!

ChickenVindaloo2 · 12/08/2017 16:14

Hey! Good to see you still chipping away!
I was 12st 6 this am. I have some exciting news actually, I've booked to go to Las Vegas and see my hero Britney Spears in October! My goal is to be under 11st by then so I don't look toooooo awful in the pictures!
Things are getting easier at the gym and I'm able to up the levels/time I spend on each machine.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 21/08/2017 17:21

Afternoon all! Update as follows:

  1. 12st 3lbs as of this morning. Had a sudden "whoosh" of weightloss after I had my last period and due to nauseaous excitement because it's only...
  2. 7 and a half weeks until Britney!
  3. first day in new job tomorrow (!)
  4. first day back at gym today for a week (see point 3). It was HARD! But glad I got back in the saddle quickly!
  5. I've looked out some old clothes and washed them ready for wear in the not too distant future...hey bootcut jeans are back in, right?!!

We are 2/3 through the year. And it's 4 months til Christmas Day. Or 3 and a bit til all the parties etc start!

I'm certainly going to be in a better place than I was on Boxing Day 2016. Hoping to get under that 10stone mark though.

I'd be interested to hear how everyone else is doing?! Grin

Morning!

Looking good Chicken! We are the same body shape and to be quite honest I look just like that although slightly heavier and taller. I bet when you look back on pictures from earlier in the year you can see a big difference.

I've just ditched the xxl polo shirt at work for a l. It's a little snug but I don't have the big ring round my middle any more, its much smaller. And I look better.

I binned all my fat clothes. By now I should be working my way back into them and I've been this weight for five months now. Might drag my size 16 jeans out at the weekend and see how were going.

How are you finding fitting exercise in? I bike ten miles a day but always have. I'm trying to walk more but don't do actual exercise. I'm on my feet at work for eight hours a day so never feel like it. I do have dds skipping rope though...

Anyway, must go to work. Keep on with what you're doing, it's working!Grin

ChickenVindaloo2 · 23/08/2017 17:41

Hey Row, great to hear you're keeping up the good work too! Yeah, when I started a the gym, the rubber ring round my middle was so big that it got in the way when I tried to do recline bike or rowing! And don't even ask me about tidying my bikini line...could barely reach it! Or my hairy toes.

Exercise isn't too bad. I try to go on a Saturday as early as I can (say 10?) and just leave cleaning/tidying til I get home, even tho my flat is usually a bombsite by the end of the working week. I also try and fit in a few visits during the week which isn't too bad atm as the evenings are light and I don't have a long commute. Keep meaning to factor in things like squeezing my arse when standing at the photocopier!

Definitely get those jeans out to see where you're at...you'll be either in them or closer to getting in them by Christmas! Sounds like you get plenty of exercise. Although my norks aren't that big and I still don't fancy skipping rope!

OP posts:
Rowgtfc72 · 23/08/2017 18:49

Ha! I need two bras and a swimming cossie to do skipping. Reckon that's where the extra weight is!Grin

ChickenVindaloo2 · 05/09/2017 18:08

How are we doing? I was 12st 1 this am. Got my period next week.
Have been letting the gym visits slide to once a week so gotta get my bum in gear! 5 weeks today I will be on the plane to the USA! Grin I could be down to 11 stone by then!

OP posts:
Rowgtfc72 · 10/09/2017 08:45

Well......

Been a bit of a few weeks here.Crap happening at work and just too busy with Dd back to school and only having one pair of hands and not being able to be in two places at once!

This weekend I've demolished two bags of broken biscuits, 3 bars of chocolate, a tub of Pringles and two jars of dip, a large kebab, cheesy chips, pizza, dough balls and a quiche. Waiting for dh and Dr to get up and were biking to McDonalds. Have spent the weekend with a carb hangover, sugar headache and my wheat intolerance has gone into overdrive.

So, weighed in at 14st 5.

I go to Cornwall on Oct 21st. I WILL weigh 13st Grin

USA in less than 5 weeks? Good goal to aim for. Remember whatever you weigh its less than you were, but if you can go for 11 I can do 13!

ChickenVindaloo2 · 10/09/2017 22:17

Hey,

Ach, I'm sure at least 5lbs of that will just be water retention from eating salty/junk food.

Which means you have a stone to lose before your holiday! That's do-able in what, 6-7 weeks?!

I've had a cold the last few days so not been at the gym. Haven't had much of an appetite though so hoping for a good weigh-in tomorrow am...

OP posts:
ChickenVindaloo2 · 19/09/2017 19:36

...I was 11st 11lbs this am...first day back in the gym yesterday following recovering from a cold and having my period...was quite hard!

Bloody hell! You're doing so well! Wish I had some of your willpower! Star

Im being good food wise but still struggling with the exercise. Still 14st 5 last Sat.

Period fairy due so not jumping on the scales this weekend.

Hopefully 2 or 3 pounds lighter the following week.

Rowgtfc72 · 28/09/2017 20:22

Not long till you fly now!

Oct on Saturday. And a weigh in!

ChickenVindaloo2 · 29/09/2017 19:10

Hey,

That's right! I fly a week on Tuesday!

I was 11st 9lbs this am.

Just impatient really - 1) for my holiday; and 2) for the weeks/months and therefore rest of the weight to melt away...

Definitely on track to be under 10stone for 2018.

How are you?

OP posts:
Rowgtfc72 · 04/10/2017 20:40

Gobsmacked! 11st 9. Absolutely well done! And well deserved.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 07/10/2017 22:55

...11st 7lbs this morning Grin

How are you doing? Going to be in the 13s for your holiday?

OP posts:
Rowgtfc72 · 08/10/2017 18:18

Forgot to jump on scales this morning, will have to be next Sat when i get up as not mucking about at 4am!
Did however jump on after dinner and I say 14st 3. went out for dinner last night and pulled the belt on my jeans in 3 holes so im thinner if not lighter. Period fairy on her way.
Will be 13 something though for Cornwall, definitely

Well done on your weigh inStar you've now reached my ideal weight.

Have a brilliant time in the USA, dont forget to spoil yourself a bit!
