Hello,

I've mentioned this on a couple of other threads but I hope you don't mind if I start my own thread as I have 2 really important goals this year and want to tackle them both, together.

This morning, I am 14 stone exactly. I'm 5'1' and have never even had kids! (I'm 33). I gave up booze 2 years ago so now time to tackle the cake/takeaway habit. If I lose 2lbs a month, I can be 10 stone in time for (hopefully!) going to Wimbledon this year.

I have taken some "before" shots of myself nekkid in the mirror and entered my weight on fitbit. And am stocking up on healthy food (low GI type idea). I also have a wee stepper machine in the living room so I need to get on that.

RE the debt - long story short this was due to slight overspending mounting up and then being out of work for a while. It's partly overdraft, rest credit card. I should be able to pay this off if I just stop filling my trolley with things I don't need, esp in Tesco. And if I stop buying clothes/random crap. So Lidl it is, going forward! I probably won't clear the lot but if I could get it under 5k that would be great.

So here we go any followers and support is much appreciated.

I wish you luck in whatever goals you have for yourself!

I look forward to Boxing Day 2017 when I should be slim, healthy and financially sound.

WE CAN DO THIS!

14st 3lb. Soo close! Never mind, haven't weighed this in a lot of yearsGrin

Off to work now, have a good St David's day everyone.

73kittycat73 · 02/03/2017 02:33

Hi Row, congratulations on the lowest weight for years! Flowers That's two pounds off since last time right?
I was going to weigh in on Monday but have changed it to Sunday. My nieces are coming round then and we're having belated pancakes. Got some icecream in and a few sauces. The maple syrup is delicious...! Grin

ChickenVindaloo2 · 03/03/2017 19:50

My scales can't make up their mind if I'm 12st12 or 13st1!

I'm taking my new ipad to the gym this weekend - going to watch videos whilst I cycle (etc) away!

Great to see you all sticking at it. I've just had some duck and chocolate

Not lost any weight this month but lost 2 inches off my tum and 1 inch off my hips. In 2 months, i've lost 3 inches off each.

I reckon I lost 12 lbs in January but some of that was water whereas now all the 12lbs is actual fat. Or something.

Anyhow, the important thing is I'm in new habits and have no intention of going back to the junk food.

My aim for March: 7lbs off. Grin

Well done on the inches lost Chicken! Star And 12lbs in one month is awesome! Smile

Rowgtfc72 · 05/03/2017 08:59

Well done Chicken Grin

Seeing the weight loss on the scales is great, I much prefer the inch loss, feels more tangible !

I celebrated the weight loss with a bag of crisps and bit of vienetta. Realised halfway through I didn't need or want them. I might be getting into good habits too. Fingers crossed.

Boots scales reckon I lost seven pound, my scales said 10 pounds.

Very jealous of the under12st chicken, I'm aiming for under 14 this time next month. Think 7lbs is a good target too. Smile

73kittycat73 · 05/03/2017 18:24

Hi Row. Smile Wish I could be like you. Today after being weighed I have been a piggy. Grin I've eaten a whole pavlova, some lemon meringue pie and a pancake covered in maple syrup. Haven't done any exercises today either. :p Lol Oh yes, the weigh in...I've lost 7lbs. I was hoping for more what with the exercising but that's not bad I suppose.
Congrats on your 7/10lbs! I'd stick with what your scales say. Smile

73kittycat73 · 13/03/2017 18:23

Hi Everyone, how we all doing? I bought a Fitbit Alta. We'll see how long it lasts until the shine wears off. Wink Grin
Chicken, when this thread runs out are you going to make a new one in Chat, or the Weightloss section? I know some threads disappear after a certain length of time, don't know if that applies to Chat too?

ChickenVindaloo2 · 13/03/2017 22:02

Hi,

I've got this thread diaried to ask mum to move to Chat :-) so it doesn't get deleted. I'll msg them now in fact.

I've been overdoing the chocolate and greek yoghurt - have gone out of ketosis so feeling hungry.

Going to maybe do an egg fast or something to kick start it again!

Hi Chicken. Smile Thanks for letting me know.
I'm doing Ok. Finding it hard atm. Am hungry right now in fact! Have brushed my teeth though and going to bed in a minute anyway. That's what I keep reminding myself of anyway. Wink
I'm not so keen on the Greek yougurt. I do love chocolate though! Grin My downfall is cakes though....Cake < If only! lol

Rowgtfc72 · 14/03/2017 17:06

Well and truly fell of the wagon. Bought a box of cheap crisps (one packet a week). Yeah right.
Dd s birthday party this weekend so loads of snacky stuff in fridge.
No homemade flapjack so much hot buttered toast after work.

Cross with myself more than anything.

Will sort act out over the weekend Grin

Hello chicken and 73! Hang in there!

73kittycat73 · 14/03/2017 20:28

Hi Row! Smile I totally understand about the crisps...Grin Don't know if I could stay away from the fridge either...Sorry, I'm not helping here am I?!
Good luck with the party and happy birthday to your DD. Smile

73kittycat73 · 16/03/2017 00:06

I see we've been moved! Grin How are you both today? I'm having serious cravings. I always do of an evening. It's my 'danger time.' Really want something to eat but going to brush my teeth and get ready for bed instead. I hope. Wink Grin

ChickenVindaloo2 · 16/03/2017 19:48

Hello friends,

I've been 13st 3 for the past few days. So net loss is only 11lbs since Christmas. And nothing for about 6 weeks. I did aim to lost 7lbs this month but we're half-way thru and zilch. Just finished my period so we'll see.

It's decision time. I've been overdoing the snacking and extras and only been to the gym a few times. Having said that, the weight is certainly not coming off easily like it did in my 20s. But I can't go around at this weight, it's unhealthy for a start.

So - starting Saturday - back to 3 low-carb meals a day with just the 2 sq of d choc in the evenings. Need a bit more inspiration too so going to play on Pinterest and watch some music videos down the gym.

I'm v glad to have this thread for accountability!

OP posts:
ChickenVindaloo2 · 16/03/2017 19:56

I could have been about a stone lighter by now ie 12 stone if I'd stuck to things over the past 6 weeks.

BUT: There are still 108 days until wimbledon which is 15 weeks. At 1.5lbs/week, I could lose 1.5 stone or more.

So my new target for Wimbledon is: 11st 7lbs. (It was previously 10st)

Anyone else need a new target?

It's good you're checking in. Knowing where you have gone wrong is half the battle!
I'm done from 12.10 to 11.6 last time I weighed. That was nearly a month ago though, so hoping to be down a little more by now. 10 is the aim - I'm just shy of 5'9.

TwentyCups · 16/03/2017 20:19

That's since the start of the year btw.

Rowgtfc72 · 16/03/2017 20:21

God yes !Grin

Need to get back into gear. Am permanently knackered. Always hungry. Always cold. Grouchy. All this happened when the carbs crept back in.

Going for 13st 9lb by end of April. Hitting the library sat for books on the science behind losing weight/staying healthy, seeing it in black and white appeals.

MicrowaveSpy · 16/03/2017 20:57

May I loin you? I think I've stumbled across this thread for a reason. I need an intervention!

I am trying to lose a very stubborn 2 stone before the end of May. I gave up all snacking between meals for Lent and have been doing well- until today Blush
I shoved 2 packets of crisps down my throats without even tasting them BlushBlush

I am 11st 1lb and ideally want to be 9st 2lbs (ish)

I don't know what triggered the crisp attack but I'm so disappointed with myself

ChickenVindaloo2 · 16/03/2017 21:35

Hello Microwave! Nice of you to "loin" us! Grin

I should give an update re my money situation as well - it's not good - this is a very long month and I haven't paid anything off.

Hoping for better next month.

Ha! Fat finger syndrome

Rowgtfc72 · 19/03/2017 09:29

Didn't weigh in last Sunday as I fell off the wagon. Remember I was 14st 3? Now I'm 14st 2. How the hell does that happen?!

On a brighter note yesterday I singlehandedly moved 43 paving slabs , loads of concrete and 40 bricks! That's got to be some weight loss hasn't it?!

Had three full weeks work too. Back to regular pay.

Hope you're all having a good weekend Grin
