Help me MN, I have 4 stone to lose and 10k debt to pay off!

Hello,

I've mentioned this on a couple of other threads but I hope you don't mind if I start my own thread as I have 2 really important goals this year and want to tackle them both, together.

This morning, I am 14 stone exactly. I'm 5'1' and have never even had kids! (I'm 33). I gave up booze 2 years ago so now time to tackle the cake/takeaway habit. If I lose 2lbs a month, I can be 10 stone in time for (hopefully!) going to Wimbledon this year.

I have taken some "before" shots of myself nekkid in the mirror and entered my weight on fitbit. And am stocking up on healthy food (low GI type idea). I also have a wee stepper machine in the living room so I need to get on that.

RE the debt - long story short this was due to slight overspending mounting up and then being out of work for a while. It's partly overdraft, rest credit card. I should be able to pay this off if I just stop filling my trolley with things I don't need, esp in Tesco. And if I stop buying clothes/random crap. So Lidl it is, going forward! I probably won't clear the lot but if I could get it under 5k that would be great.

So here we go any followers and support is much appreciated.

I wish you luck in whatever goals you have for yourself!

I look forward to Boxing Day 2017 when I should be slim, healthy and financially sound.

WE CAN DO THIS!

Interesting. Yes, I can "feel" when my body has lost a couple of pounds.

Very constipated today and ate late last night so 13.2 again.
Never fear, I'm off to the gym tomorrow to get things, ah, moving again...

Mine has been a bit up this week as well, blaming it on the half term and not walking and going to the gym as much (not the 90% lindt choc which got me through the half term of course)

73kittycat73 · 19/02/2017 13:14

I think my tummy has shrunk a bit. I can see under it now (I mean lady bits. Blush ) without having to lift it up!
Hope everyone else is doing ok?

Well done GrinFlowers

73kittycat73 · 21/02/2017 13:13

Woo-hoo, well done Chicken! Star I understand about 'the apron of fat.'

I went a bit nuts yesterday. No more bags of yogurt coated popcorn in anymore, it's to tempting. I'm to ashamed to write how many I ate. I figured out I must have eaten nigh on 3-3500 calories last night so would have put a pound on. Sad
Anyway, I did order an exercise bike as I'm getting bored of the min stepper. Grin That is due to arrive from Saturday onwards.
Hope everyone else is doing ok? Smile

73kittycat73 · 23/02/2017 02:11

Hi everyone, you've all gone quiet! Grin How are you doing? My exercise bike arrived today, very pleased. Am putting it together tomorrow. Have done OK food wise today. Smile Bloody hard work though...lol.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 23/02/2017 13:19

Meh, I'm all fed up, at 13st 2 today and no sight of my BLOODY period!

Aww Chicken. It must be so frustrating for you. Flowers Have you checked your inches/measurements? I don't know what else to suggest. Are you exercising at all? I read that that can make you retain water for 3-6 weeks, then it settles down.
Well, tried out my new exercise bike, I love it! Easier and more enjoyable than the stepper. Did 20 mins on it. Slightly saddle sore! Blush Grin

A1Sharon · 23/02/2017 20:33

Chicken I have been lurking on your thread, you are doing so well!
May I make a suggestion? Stop weighing yourself so often. Weigh yourself every two weeks, same time. Your weight fluctuates so much its hard to get a real image, and then what happens is what has happened above and you get discouraged.
Hide the scales and only get them out on your two week weigh in morning, then put them away again.
This is a lifestyle change, you're much happier changing your diet and exercising, so keep embracing the new life. Stop worrying what the scales say.
Flowers

Rowgtfc72 · 23/02/2017 21:12

Chicken, periods are never good for dieting! You get the carb craving, then the bloating and water retention. I'd leave the scales till after.

73kittykat73 pleased you like your bike. I bike 55 miles a week, my body's so used to doing this I just maintain my weight not lose but have it on good authority cycling is good for burning the calories Grin

73kittycat73 · 24/02/2017 01:52

Thanks Row, that's good to know! Smile It was so much easier than the stepper that I felt guilty for not working so hard. Blush Grin I need not feel guilty now then. Smile

Rowgtfc72 · 24/02/2017 19:27

I find putting that mileage in a week a doddle, don't drive so have to bike!

Rowgtfc72 · 26/02/2017 19:53

Scales on Fri said 14st 3lb. Scales today said 14st 5lb. Will wait till wed now.Wink

Hope you've all had good weekends.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 26/02/2017 21:02

Hey y'all.

Today I was 13.0, ho-hum. But got my ass down the gym. (and had a massage at home afterwards!)

I've just bought an ipad air2 online (from John Lewis, obvs) which should make going to the gym a bit more fun. Each of their machines has a wee ledge you can put your tablet/phone etc on. This is obvs not helping my debt problem but I've paid for it with this month's bonus.
