I'd like to lose about a stone. So I'm going back to my old system of writing down everything I eat, to make myself more accountable and stop eating random unhealthy stuff that I forget about twenty minutes later. The next few months of cold will be featuring lots of soup, and herbal tea instead of hot chocolate. This method usually works for me, so I need to get back on it.

Welcome sock gap !
Like yourself I am 5'2 and every pound shows. Last night my friends told me 'don't worry you're not that fat' gee thanks girls hahaha. Most if my clothes are too tight so I know something has to be done.
I fell off the wagon with a crunchie yesterday but redeemed myself with an egg salad for tea and 5k on the bike this morning.

Today is the first day I've noticed slight belly shrinkage but oh wants to go to a carvery for lunch. I'm trying to change his mind to sushi instead !

Snorfig · 08/01/2017 12:07

Just started 30 day shred as I had a £15 iTunes voucher to spend so I've downloaded it on my phone. Planning to do it in the mornings or after kids' bedtime every day if I can. Impressed by first session -she doesn't muck about!
Also had lightbulb moment after reading about the No-S diet - of course I should stop snacking! Of course I should aim to eat 3 proper filling meals instead! I've managed to lose and keep off ONE POUND so far. Not much...

Dizzywizz · 08/01/2017 15:14

Another short one here (5ft!) who can't get away with any extra pounds.

Argh weekends always my problem. Today I took ds1 to a party over lunch time, of course no food for grown ups and I had to go straight after to collect ds2 from dh who had had to take him to work. So no lunch and arriving at dh' work, where there is a snack shop... oops, some crisps and choc chocolate biscuits. And of course couldn't help the boys' with the sweeties given at the party!!!

PlaymobilPirate · 08/01/2017 16:12

Starting tomorrow!
(Used to do 16:8 so heading for that ish again as my mornings are usually really busy and I can do without)

I've just prepped overnight oats - will have them for lunch at work.

Making chicken dinner today - which means soup for tea 3 nights next week with the extra chicken and veg. Just need to remember not to have 4 slices of bread with it!! 😀

Water is my nemesis - I'm good once I start back drinking lots but I have to force it down to start with!

Mipe · 08/01/2017 16:54

I'm in! I need to lose at least a stone and actually keep it off this time Smile. I am not really bothered about the weight - I just want a flatter stomach and to get rid of my double chin! Have started No S and doing ok so far but really need to do more exercise, I have looked at couch to 5k but feel embarrassed about running in public (not a pretty sight Grin) so might go on the hometrainer instead.

Snorfig · 08/01/2017 17:02

4'10" here - a real short arse! Every pound goes straight to my wobbly bottom.

HandsomeDevil · 08/01/2017 18:25

weighing in tomorrow
mostly been ok today, but the third taco just now was probably a mistake.

getting marginally less hungry in the evenings now. only marginally, mind.

HandsomeDevil · 08/01/2017 18:27

Snorfig if you lost that one pound every week, that's a stone by Easter.
Which I wouldn't say no to.

Snorfig · 08/01/2017 18:39

Wow. And probably sustainable too. Thanks for the encouragement :)

PlaymobilPirate · 08/01/2017 18:40

Oh - and pedometer app downloaded!

InteriorLulu · 08/01/2017 19:28

OK. I'm off to WW tomorrow for my 'accountability' weigh in. Not looking forward to it one bit. However, I have finally shaken off my cold, so starting (again!) tomorrow - but been for a run today. I just need to think and plan more what I'm eating.

New day, new week, new start Smile

Dizzywizz · 09/01/2017 06:10

Have just weighed in and lost half a stone! Mainly water but still happy with that Smile

HandsomeDevil · 09/01/2017 07:53

well done dizzy - what a fabulous start
I too must have been carrying a bit of chablis water weight as I have lost...
4lbs.
Start weight 12st 4
This week's loss 4lb
Total loss 4lb.

Fingers crossed for anyone else weighing in today.

TwatteryFlowers · 09/01/2017 08:46

Well done dizzy and handsome that's a great start! Hoping that when I work in later I at least won't have put anything on - not expecting to have lost anything considering the amount of crap I have eaten this week!

IhatchedaSnorlax · 09/01/2017 09:06

That's brill Dizzy. I've weighed in this morning too & lost 3lb - was 12st 11 & today 12st 8lb.

Feeling better just for eating healthier & not drinking! Hoping I can continue as really want my clothes to fit properly again!

IhatchedaSnorlax · 09/01/2017 09:06

Missed yours Handsome - well done.

KitKat1985 · 09/01/2017 10:38

Well done Dizzy and Handsome! That's brilliant.

Didn't have the best weekend (although I did stick to my no snacking / loads of sugary crap rule) but back on it today.

TwatteryFlowers · 09/01/2017 12:49

I've lost about half a pound: I was 9st6.2 and I'm now 9st5.8! I'm technically not overweight - my bmi is 24.9 so I am right on the limit and ideally I would like to lose another stone to get into the middle of my healthy weight range. I need to eat less than 1400 cals per day and this week I've been having quite a lot above that. I won't stop snacking completely though because I'll just feel like I'm giving up too much and will losemy way. I will think more carefully about what I snack on though and what to eat when teatime plans get changed at the last minute.

3lb is really good snorlax, well done!

JacquelineChan · 09/01/2017 13:41

well done to everyone that has lost weight !

I'm holding off for another week and going to weigh myself when I'm 2 weeks in. On my period this week so may get disheartened lol. Although my tummy does look flatter ( i think ) and just like Snorlax i feel healthier not drinking and eating junk all the time

i just want to eat eat eat , especially as I work from home, but i have grapes and raw carrots for when the urge strikes and at lunchtime i did some toning exercises .

Dizzywizz · 09/01/2017 20:43

Thanks, and well done to @handsome and @snorkax, and yep I'm feeling better for eating healthier. And not feeing bloated with a distended tummy! (Ok well it's definitely still out there, but perhaps a bit less)

Dizzywizz · 09/01/2017 20:43

Ok think I failed in tagging people lol!!

CancellyMcChequeface · 09/01/2017 21:17

SheFeedsYouTeaAndOranges Sorry for the late response, but I love coconut oil! Mine doesn't add any coconut flavour or smell to the food at all. I get a big tub for £3 from Asda and just scrape a bit and heat it up in my saucepan the same way I would with butter. It's high in calories but one of the healthiest oils to cook with, especially on a low-carb diet. If you have some already that you use for your hair, I'd definitely recommend you try cooking with it too.

Well done to everyone who has lost weight this week! I'm now 7lb down on my starting weight, and out of the 'overweight' BMI category. Grin

The best thing I did this week was buy my very own kettlebell. I'm trying to find exercises that I enjoy, and I like the idea getting stronger and being able to lift heavy things. I also ordered a very cheap smartphone (I've never used one before!) for the dual purposes of using the free wifi at London stations while I'm dealing with the nightmare that is Southern Rail, and trying out the 'Zombies! Run!' app which sounds like a great concept.

My freezer is now full of tubs of homemade vegetable soup - I made a big pot today and portioned it out so that I have quick meals for when I'm feeling lazy.

Snorfig · 10/01/2017 08:46

Well done everyone! Loads of healthy and inspiring people on here.
I've lost another lb, 2lbs down in 9 days which feels like slow and steady progress. I've just squeaked back into the 'healthy' range for BMI (25). Aiming to lose another 6lb, through eating good sized, filling meals, no snacks or booze during the week, and a mother load of exercise. It's working so far!

KitKat1985 · 10/01/2017 10:44

Decided to check my BMI just now and it was 27.6. Sad

Had a minor slip up and had 2 small chocolate biscuits yesterday at about 5pm because I was starving. I think I didn't eat enough at lunch time.

In positive news I've just done my big online Tesco shop and I've made a real effort to order healthier choices, because if I haven't got any cream cakes in the house, then I can't eat them!

KitKat1985 · 10/01/2017 10:47

Oh and well done Cancelly and Snorfig! Smile
